“9/11, as we all know, does not begin on 9/11” when Al Qaeda waged jihad against the United States, but has an imperialist prehistory that goes “back really to the birth of the colonial order,” stated UCLA history professor Robin Kelley during “Whose Narrative? 20 Years Since 9/11/2001,” a September 11 webinar. He and his fellow panelists, including two terrorist supporters, hijacked a solemn day of mourning to whitewash any Islamist involvement in that day’s horrifying events and portray America as righteously attacked by a vengeful world.
The first terrorist sympathizer to speak was San Francisco State University associate professor of ethnic studies Rabab Abdulhadi. In 2014, she used taxpayer dollars to send Americans previously imprisoned for terrorism to meet fellow terrorists at An-Najah University in the West Bank. Last September, she attempted to host via Zoom convicted Palestinian terrorist and hijacker Leila Khaled, but congressional pressure and online companies’ wariness forced the event’s cancelation.
This year, Abdulhadi denied the victims of 9/11 their dignity by adopting an “all lives matter” stance to her “moment of silence to honor all those fallen” by the attacks. “We depart from the U.S.-centric approach by remembering and thinking of all those who have fallen around the world as a direct result of U.S. interventionist and imperialist wars,” she said. Lest anyone miss her viciousness toward her host country, she added a litany of anti-Western accusations, including slavery, “genocidal wars against the indigenous people of the Western hemisphere,” and “disaster capitalism and racial capitalism.” She thereby reflected Kelley’s view that “The lessons I think every generation learns is that U.S. empire threatens the future of humanity,”
Turning to the modern era, Abdulhadi mourned terrorist “prisoners of war (POWs) held in Guantanamo Bay” and the fake Israeli “Jenin camp massacre in April 2001.” Meanwhile she praised the antisemitic 2001 Durban, South Africa, conference “against racism and war and apartheid.” She denounced “U.S. hegemonic discourses” about 9/11 that “legitimizes imperialist wars” and “promotes hypermasculinity and a colonial gender and sexualized violent order of modernity and civilization.”
Introduced by Kelley as a “prisoner of conscience,” the event’s most infamous terrorist supporter, former University of South Florida computer science professor Sami Al-Arian, appeared virtually from Istanbul, Turkey, his home since his 2015 deportation following a federal conviction of supplying material support to the terrorist organization Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Posing as if his support for killers was his civil right, he allusively blamed American Jews and Israel for his deportation he wailed that he “was among the first Muslim leaders to be targeted in the U.S. because of powerful interest groups that wanted to silent dissent . . . particularly with regards to Palestine.”
Al-Arian’s subsequent comments revealed his sympathy for Islamists of all stripes. He sounded like Osama bin Laden himself in citing the American policies named by Al Qaeda as justification for 9/11, including the American “occupation of the birthplace of Islam in Saudi Arabia after the Saddam invasion of Kuwait.” America has also, Al-Arian complained, long supported the “colonial-settler state of Israel” as well as Arab dictatorships.
Rutgers University professor of media studies Deepa Kumar marked her second online appearance in as many days in a 9/11 memorial weekend doubleheader by calling 9/11 a “turning point” that “strengthened and consolidated U.S. imperialism.” “Despite the failed occupations in Iraq and most recently Afghanistan, the U.S. has actually expanded its tentacles and reach around the world” with some 800 – 1,000 bases, particularly for drone strikes, she said.
Turning to domestic affairs, Kumar referenced New York University adjunct professor of media, culture, and communication Arun Kundnani. He has, she said, “compared these surveillances of Muslims to that endured by the East Germans under the Stasi, one of most repressive intelligence and secret police agencies to have ever existed” – a hyperbolic smear that typifies so much academic commentary on Israel.
The antisemitic University of California—Berkeley lecturer Hatem Bazian similarly considered 9/11 a “rewiring of the U.S. imperial system.” After Al Qaeda’s outrages, former “Cold War warriors” had “picked up the green flag, Islam, as a new package threat through which they could still construct their imaginary imperial project,” he said. The “Israeli political class” helped them in this effort, Kumar added.
South African Communist Party member and former intelligence minister Ronald Kasrils declared that the “lesson from 9/11 is to resist and to form anti-imperialist solidarity” globally. Eagerly siding with Islamist terrorists, he lauded the Taliban’s “resistance,” which he claimed falsely “had nothing to do with 9/11,” even though the Taliban provided Al Qaeda with a safe haven to plan the attacks. He gleefully noted the Taliban’s “defeat for imperialism,” the torture and execution of desperate refugees and oppression of women notwithstanding. This involved, “as with Vietnam, the scurrying out, the departure, leaving people in the lurch, who they had corrupted,” i.e., Westernized.
The vain hope that the Taliban takeover presaged a future “Israeli fate” tantalized Kasrils. He condemned the “Zionist factor, which the Chinese in the old days would have called the running dogs of imperialism.” Spinning Israel’s founding as an international conspiracy, he stated that Israel is a “sub-imperialist power in the Middle East placed there to keep the Middle East embroiled in the control of the Western and the American empire.”
Pakistani-American panelist Fahd Ahmed leads Desis Rising Up and Moving (DRUM), a “multigenerational, membership led organization of low-wage South Asian and Indo-Caribbean immigrant workers and youth in New York City.” Listed in the video as going by “any pronouns,” he denounced key post-9/11 law enforcement sting operations to nab would-be jihadists in American Muslim communities. “Informants and undercovers would go in and incite vulnerable people within our communities” for terrorism arrests,” he claimed.
The panel showed how America’s mere existence scandalizes the likes of Abdulhadi, who considers the San Francisco Bay area the “occupied territories” of various Native American tribes. She and her fellow panelists appropriated this somber anniversary for their own nefarious ends: to bury the identity of the attackers while blaming the U.S. for the violent deaths of nearly 3,000 Americans. This lack of compassion for the dead, coupled with willful distortion of what happened that day, exposed the panelists as callous liars. Neither they nor their like-minded peers deserve the support of America’s universities, where their presence stains our national conscience.

Strange that they all want to live in America, if it’s so disgusting to them.
They’re there because they can have all the conveniences and privileges that go with living in the west, and still denigrate it to the nth degree, knowing they won’t be punished for it.
Every western country, and Israel too, should sweep this filth and all their supporters, enablers, and comforters, from their houses.

Spot on, Eva. If these maggots hate the USA (I think it is really a hatred of the whole western world and western civilisation) then they should not be such hypocrites. They should clear out and live in some country that is not a civilised western nation. As you say, these people want to live in a pleasant country and spend their time trying to destroy it from the inside.

Muslims want to turn America into another Islamic hell hole.
tim gallagher says
No doubt about that, gravenimage. It’s the same agenda they have for every non-Muslim country. They are an invading enemy. As Eva said, in her comment up above, these termites know that in our western countries, they won’t be punished for denigrating the western society they are living in and trying to destroy it. Muslims are usually escaping Muslim societies which, as you say, are hopeless hellholes and yet then they want to turn the decent, civilised, non-Muslim societies they get to migrate to into Islamic hellholes.

Too true, Tim.

These slime get paid to speak abusively of victims and no one stops their “free speech.”
The young man of the USMC who spoke about what was happening in afghanistan was told he had committed a wrong by speaking up about the commanders doing wrong.
He tried to leave the MC, but his resignation was rejected by the Corps. He was put under a gag order and over the weekend, he used social media to say something. Now he is in the brig until his trial.
He was not allowed to resign….but is being put on trial. And he is not allowed to speak…he is gagged and then jailed because he refused the gag.
Such a wicked, evil and twisted world this is. The Truth **must** be covered up and the lies spill forth like a tsunami.
Just shows who really is behind this society…the whole world’s society…and controlling the conversation, and punishing Truth. It shows who is the *master* of the leaders and their lackeys.

Hugo says
What about the occupation of ALL muslim lands which were previously Christian or Zoroastrian or Hindu until the colonial wars of expansion by Islam?
Should someone not report these people to the CIA ?
Wellington says
What rot. As “Hugo” above stated, what about Islamic imperialism? Using many textbooks as I did teaching history over the course of a third of a century, I time and time again read how America and the West in general were imperialistic but Islam simply “spread.” The imperialism of one American Indian tribe against others (e.g., the Aztec domination of other central American tribes) I never once saw characterized as “imperialism.” How about all the Mongol conquests in the high medieval period? Never saw that characterized as Mongolian imperialism. What of various sub-Saharan African tribes engaging in their own imperialism (e.g., the Zulu)? How about Japanese imperialism in the 20th century? And on and on and on with this double standard.
Something else. No great power in history has used its power more sparingly than has the USA. America sought freedom for South Koreans and South Vietnamese in the Korean War and Vietnam War respectively, not territory. No great power in history has shed so much of its own soldiers’ and sailors’ blood for the benefit of others (WWI and WWII certainly prove this), though often times the British Empire did just this as well (going into Africa to end slavery and using its navy to stop the Atlantic slave trade). By contrast, when the Islamic world was a power in the medieval era, it was highly destructive of life and property as well as being extraordinarily repressive of non-Muslims under Muslim rule (still is—in what Muslim dominant nation do non-Muslims have full equal rights with Muslims?).
Also, America’s generosity to others as exhibited by something like the Marshall Plan has never been even remotely matched by the extraordinarily self-centered and miserly Islamic world. Even today, it is America and other Western nations that are expected to take in Muslim refugees but what Islamic nation has taken in Muslim refugees from a country like Syria? Then there are the so-called Palestinians who are denied entry into sundry Muslim polities and made citizens while continuing to be used as pawns in the Islamic world’s inveterate hatred of Israel, a country where Israeli-Arab Muslims have more freedoms than do Muslims in any Muslim nation on Earth.
So sick of the slanted and spiteful characterizations of America and all of Western Civilization. It’s hypocritical, phony, despicable and often times simply factually incorrect. Besides, where America went freedom often followed. When has freedom followed Islam? Done here.

Fantastic post, Wellington.
Wellington says
Thank you, Keys.
I do wish, however, I didn’t have to write such a post because the Western world has truly dumbed down to what it formerly was not. Serving too as evidence, I would contend, and historically speaking, that the enemy within, is, nine times out of ten, far more lethal than the enemy without.
This of course would include massive ignorance of the “within” which still exists among such people as Blair and Bush 43, let alone “the Squad,” who actively and actually, unlike silly people like Blair and Bush 43, seek the destruction of America. (N.B. Blair and Bush 43 are both egregious and no one should pay any attention to them any longer except to the extent that refutation of these two foolish and destructive men is required in order for truth to prevail).
“Things” up for grabs. You bet they are. And never count on the Blairs and Bushes to rescue the greatest civilization of all time, i.e., Western Civilization. Indeed, they are for whatever moronic (or possibly corrupt) reason, complicit with iniquity—“iniquity” here being essentially equal to Islam “in all its glory.” So very tied of both of these “has-beens.” ‘Eff ’em.
Infidel says
The Mongols are actually a vilified lot. The reason they went to war w/ the muslims of Turkistan was the execution of 2 of their envoys from Genghiz Khan to the Khwarezm sultan at Otrar. This was taken by the Mongols as an act of war, which was a legitimate conclusion, and after a year’s preparation, the Mongols invaded Khwarezm and destroyed the cities of Samarqand, Herat and Gurganj. For anyone who’d condemn them for that, the muslims are the last people who should, for the Mongols were remarkably more tolerant than muslims ever were. If not, all the peoples from the Indus to the Tigris would have been Tengri worshipers at the end of the exercise. Unfortunately, there was a big downside to that religious tolerance: 3 of the 4 Mongol breakaway empires – the Chagatai, Ilkhanate and Golden Hordes – became muslim sultanates after a few generations of native Shaman/Buddhist rule
Wellington says
Still “imperialism,” Infidel, and that was my principal point. And just because some imperialists were more tolerant than others (and the West was far more so, whatever its defects, than medieval Mongolians), doesn’t exculpate any inculpation of imperialism.
Besides, unlike the British let’s say, how may bridges, roads, hospitals, schools, sanitary facilities, etc., did the Mongols engage in, build, versus the British?
Your turn, Infidel. And of course you know that my major point was not to contrast Mongolian imperialism versus Islamic imperialism. My major point was DIRECTED to the hypocrisy and double standard that applies to Western imperialism while ignoring all the other “imperialisms.”
I detest double standards. A la Luther at the Diet of Worms in 1521, I can do no other.
Infidel says
In the era in question – the 12-14th century – neither the Mongols nor the Englishmen (Britain didn’t exist as a political entity at the time) were building bridges, roads, hospitals, schools or sanitary facilities. Although the Silk Route was stable under the Mongol empires, but lost it once muslims regained it. England, in the meantime, during the period in question, was involved in the Third Crusade and then the Hundred Year War w/ France
My point was that there are people, definitely among muslims and even on the Left, who condemn Genghiz Khan and Mongol imperialism: it’s islamic imperialism, be it Arab or Turk, of which one is hard pressed to find contemporary condemnation
gravenimage says
Fine posts, Wellington.
I recently read a screed from a Muslim condemning human rights as “colonialist”. Just grotesque.
Wellington says
“They will never admit that what you have written is the truth.”
Yes, unfortunately for mankind and especially for the West, somehistory, what you stated about what I stated will never be acknowledged, or even understood, by people who regularly engage in projection, which from a psychological point of view is, quite arguably, and as you asserted, a form of psychopathy. Well, whatever it is, it is not aligned with either truth or wisdom. Fitting, since virtually no defense of Islam, or Islam itself, is ever aligned with either truth or wisdom—or the importance of true freedom.
Hope you and yours are doing well. Take care, pal.
john smith says
muslim children are taught from babies to emulate muhammad, the so called perfect man. So if you have been trying all your life to behave like a psychopath, you will eventually pick up some psychopathic traits even though you weren’t born that way.
Wellington says
Seconded, john smith.
Decades ago I came to the conclusion that, OMG, humanity has a major religion founded upon the character (real or fictional) of a damn psychopath, one who had a man burned alive (Kinana), some six hundred men beheaded in just one day (from the Qurayza tribe), who per the Bukhari Hadith, 4.52.220, asserted that he had been made victorious with terror, and who required per the Bukhari Hadith, 9.84.57, that all Muslim believers who leave the faith be killed, et al.
Would be deuce difficult to come up with a worse scenario whereby a major religion, founded by a psychopath, is accorded in our very foolish era not just equal rights with other major faiths but is actually extended more rights, more sympathy, more exculpations, than any other major religion in history.
This is a new development, i.e., the mindless excusing of religious malevolency. And once again I assert that this idiocy began with the single most destructive decade in all of Western history, i.e., the 1960’s, which at the very moment that the West achieved so much—technologically, scientifically, legally respecting equal rights under the law, the capacity to apologize for past wrongdoings such as no other civilization remotely has, et al.—ushered in a mindless self-contempt for the Western establishment which establishment, though with faults to be sure, still stands, if truth wins out, as the greatest “establishment” in all of man’s history.
The very fact that Islam has made such inroads in the West all the while inveighing against the West, hating the West, only confirms my “thesis” all the more. In no way does the phenomenon of either Islam or modern Western Leftism invalidate my “thesis.” Again and again both overwhelmingly confirm this thesis. And such is the absurdity we in the West are living with today.
I fear a new Dark Age dawns. And, if I am correct—and I dearly hope I am not correct—mankind is on the verge of the darkest of dark ages in all of our time here on this planet called Earth.
john smith says
Wellington, I recognize just how intelligent you are, I really do, I also sadly have to agree with you, a new dark age is approaching, the darkest age our world will ever know. Biblical scriptures have warned us of this, and only a fool would not take heed of their warnings. Prepare yourself, and there is every chance you will survive.

Walter Sieruk says
Never blame the victims but only the evil doers, the jihadists, for the awful events which occurred on September ,11,2001,
Maybe those Muslims who make up that panel have their cognition too thoroughly damaged by Islam to understand this.
Walter Sieruk says
On September 11, 2001 those murderous and destructive and deadly jihad attacks by jihadist/Muslims of al Qaeda were not acting out in a hijacked form of Islam but actual Quran based non-watered down hard core. As the Quran teaches in 9:111, “The believers fight in Allah’s Cause, they slay and are slain, they kill and are killed.” Likewise, this “holy book” of Islam also instructs in 47:4 “Whenever you encounter the disbeliever strike off their heads until you make a great slaughter among them…”
Let’s face it, using jets planes as missiles as those jihadists did on 9/11 do does ,tragically , make a much greater “slaughter among them” than a sword can. There are the other verses the give instruction for violence and killing for the cause of Islam, as 2:191. 5:33. 8:39.9:5, 38-39.
Walter Sieruk says
There can be no doubt that Osama bin Laden was grinning on that day of September 11, 2001 when he received news of that murderous affront on humankind and America, being such an evil and vile character that he was. Bin Laden when he found out that his demonic scheme worked all he could do was sit around a grin.
That Muslim fiend Bin Laden that no sympathy or empathy all for all the people who died the awful way in America. For he was actually glad about that murderous jihad calamity that occurred that day of 9/11.
To such a callousness of that character as Bin Laden the Bible teaches “He who is glad calamity will not go unpunished.” Proverbs 17:5. For that’s just what happened. For as they say “What goes around comes around.” So when his deadly violence came back on him in his compound on the outskirts of Abbottabad he was no longer grinning. For on the day the heroic Navy SEAL’s exterminated him, the report was that he looked confused and scared. Likewise the Bible teaches “For whatever a man sows, that he will also reap” Galatians 6;7. Bin Laden sowed violence and death so therefore he reaped violence and death. The very words of Jesus thus are proven be to be true. For Jesus taught the “He who takes up the sword shall perish by the sword.” Matthew 26:52. For Bin laden took up the firearm and he died by the firearm Osama bin Laden is now suffering in the fire of hell. May the name of Osama bin Laden rot in history. As the Bible teaches “The name of the wicked shall rot.” Proverbs 10:7.
Also, the heroes of United 93 banded together to fight the Jihadists and foiled their evil scheme by preventing more death and destruction in Washington D.C. The heroes united in a band or cord against those Islamic evildoers. The above is a reflection of Ecclesiastes 4: 12. This reads “Though one may be over-powered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken..”
Finally, all these jihadists will have a harsh awakening after they die; they will find out that they were lied to about the 72 virgins in a paradise. That is just one of many “cleverly invented stories” of men Second Peter 1:16. Instead of the virgins they will find themselves in hell with no hope.
Walter Sieruk says
On the early morning of September 11, 2001 the 19 jihadists of the Islamic terrorists network, Al Qaeda were about to carry out that jihadist scheme to hijack some jet planes to use them as missiles for mass murder and destruction of jihad attacks.
Those 19 jihadist/Muslims in their Islamic delusion firmly believed that after they died in their jihad attacks for the cause of Islam as “martyrs” in those murderous Islamic terror attacks they would then immediately go to an Islamic paradise with many virgins, houris,. Each large group of houris for his individual use only. With is type of wedding to them in a forever sex- filled marriage to them.
This belief is based on the teachings and doctrine of the Qu’ ran and the Hadith. This belief is not only absurd but it’s also a false teaching based on a false doctrine. This is known because Jesus taught ‘Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels in heaven.” Matthew 22:29, 30. [K.J.V.]
Furthermore, the Bible warns against accepting and believing in religious story/ doctrines, no matter how enticing they might be. For the Bible warns against giving “heed to fables….” First Timothy 1:4.
In addition, such a lust –filled fable /doctrine and the deluded men who would believe in it was predicted the Bible. For the Bible informs its reader in Second Timothy 4:3, 4. “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
In great contrast to the religious fiction of such a fable /doctrine that has deceived many jihadists into engaging in suicide/homicide attacks, Christians have the reality found in Second Peter 1:16. Which reads “For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ…”
Walter Sieruk says
After the news reach the world about the mass murder and destruction that occurred by that vicious jihadists attacks in America which occurred September 11, 2001. Many Muslim were happy and even celebrated that murderous affront carried out by those jihadists of al Qaeda.
There are some good, decent but naïve Westerners when discovering about who those Muslims were actually glad about those horrendous happenings on 9/11. Some of those Westerners might be shocked and then stop and wonder and ask “How can those people, being so very religious, be so happy and glad about those deadly atrocities of that day ?”
The answer to that question is found in the Bible. For the Bible informs its reader that there are some men who are very callous, cruel, unfeeling and heartless because they have had “their conscience seared with a hot iron.” First Timothy 4:2. [K.J.V.]
In this specific case that “hot iron” is Islam.

He is correct – but the birth of the colonial order in this case goes back to 633 when the Arabs began their imperialist conquests of neighbouring lands. These attacks were entirely unprovoked and were carried out to win booty and slaves and impose their religious beliefs on the conquered peoples. This should be the real answer to people like Mr Kelley.
