Now she says “it’s not justifiable to kill innocent people in the name of religion.”
A savvy interviewer would ask her to define “innocent,” as it was Britain-based imam Abdul Makin who said: “Because non-Muslims are never innocent, they are guilty of denying Allah and his prophet.”
Does Shamima Begum believe this also?
Or will British authorities take her words at face value and let her back in the country? Given the level of their self-delusion, that is likely.
“Shamima Begum apologises for saying Manchester Arena bombing was ‘justified’ and asks for forgiveness on GMB,” by Ashlie Blakey, Manchester Evening News, September 15, 2021 (thanks to Henry):
Shamima Begum has apologised for saying the Manchester Arena bombing was ‘justified’.
The 22-year-old east London schoolgirl, who fled her home in 2015 to join terror group Isis, was questioned on comments she made about the bombing on Good Morning Britain today (Wednesday).
In 2019, she said the attack that killed 22 people was ‘justified’ because of airstrikes that killed civilians in Syria.
Begum said she regretted her actions and asked the British people for forgiveness.
She said: “I do not believe that one evil justifies another evil. I don’t think that women and children should be killed for other people’s motives and for other people’s agendas.”
Begum said she did not know that women and children were hurt in Manchester.
“I did not know about the Manchester bombing when I was asked. I did not know that people were killed, I did not know that women and children were hurt because of it”, she said.
Speaking from Syria and wearing a Nike baseball cap and grey vest, Begum said it was ‘not justifiable to kill innocent people in the name of religion’.
She also apologised to anyone who has been affected by Isis and the terror group’s actions….
In an apology to the public, she said: “Of course I am completely sorry for anyone that has been affected by Isis.
“In no way do I agree with what they did, I don’t, I’m not trying to justify what they did, it’s not justifiable to kill innocent people in the name of religion.”…
She said: “I want to say that you are clearly struggling with extremism and terrorism in your country.
“And I want to help with that with giving my own experience from with these extremists and what they say and how they persuade people to do what they do and to come to places like Syria.
“I think I could very much help you in your fight against terrorism, because you clearly don’t know what you’re doing.”…
Well, it’s certainly true that Boris doesn’t know what he’s doing, but he still might not be wise to take on Shamima Begum as an advisor.

Awwww!!! Poor thing.

Make up your mind! You are either in favor of jihad or not. If you are NOT in favor of jihad, you are not a practicing Muslim … you are a MUNAFIQ.
A munafiq is a ‘hypocrite’. In particular, this term applies to apostates who hides their apostasy, and peaceful, ‘moderate’ Muslims who refuse to participate in jihad. This is made clear in Q.4.150-151. See also 4.66 , 4.74, and 4.88.
Is Begum now a MUNAFIQ ???
Infidel says
Which channel carries ‘Good Morning, Britain’? Why is it giving her the time of day?
Infidel says
On a different note, as I noted a while back, if she’s sick of Syria, she can go to Afghanistan. In fact, there, she might even find some Bangladeshi jihadists who are in Afghanistan on an exchange program, and who plan to return to Bangladesh to turn that country into another Afghanistan. I’m not sure whether she speaks Bangladeshi or not, but she might find them more intelligible than the Arabic or Turkish speaking thugs that she was f?ing w/, depending on what she spoke at home

This issue of this former ISIS scumbag appearing with her sob story on “Good Morning, Britain” was discussed by Brendan O’Neill, who is in the UK, in a weekly interview he does with Michael McLaren, a good radio presenter, in Australia this morning on the 2GB radio station.. Brendan O’Neill always impresses me. He said that he doesn’t like the way that Begum tends to receive more sympathy and sympathetic treatment, in some parts of the community and media, than the victims of the terrorist murders in Manchester. They played a bit of begum’s interview where she was asked why she should not be sent to Bangladesh instead of to the UK. She said that Bangladesh has the death penalty and they would execute her if she went there, whereas the UK doesn’t have the death penalty. I know nothing about where Begum is from, but I guess, from the question, she, or her parents, must be from Bangladesh. O’Neill said that he thinks Begum should be put on trial in Syria. He is concerned that she will be accepted back into the UK and, more or less, get off scot free, despite having joined the vermin that composed ISIS. It was interesting hearing O’Neill’s point of view on this issue. They always mention that O”Neill is from Spiked online. I see him interviewed on Sky News TV in Australia from time to time and he always impresses me with his take on things.

Tim,
Your opinion is completely justified and very fair to any human. The stupid Lefties seem to want to catapult her to fame through constant niggling with this rebellious woman.
It is not that some are sympathetic to her, they are interested in the money trail through viewership etc. Nonetheless, the Left and islam is heartless.
Proverbs 17:11
A rebellious man seeks only evil, So a cruel messenger will be sent against him.
tim gallagher says
Thanks for the comment, Raja. I have always had the view that, even though these people who raced off to join in with the sadistic scum from ISIS, were young (I think Brendan O’Neill said Begum was 15 when she went off to join in with the murdering of people by ISIS), I do not for a second believe that they should be allowed to come back to any civilised western country. Here in Australia, we have quite a number of these scum who went off to join ISIS trying to get back. Some were children who were taken by their parents so I suppose, maybe, you might have to take them back, but any others, including evil 15 year old people, such as Begum was, should never be allowed back. I personally don’t believe anything she says about having changed from the evil piece of crap that she used to be..

Agreed, Tim. The claim that they just wanted to live in an Islamic paradise does not hold water–even people ignorant of Islam knew that bloody *ISIS* was oppressive and murderously violent.
john smith says
Shamima Begum, is still the same vile evil person today as she was yesterday, she hasn’t changed a bit. Throwing away her burqa in exchange for western clothes, wont fool anyone here. This is a classic case of MURUNA, she wants to blend in and be accepted by westerners. She has no regrets whatsoever about joining isis and every word that comes out of her gob is just TAQIYYA.
gravenimage says
Spot on, John.
mortimer says
Agree, Begum has not likely altered her hatred of dirty kafirs. She will be a danger to UK citizens. It has been estimated that there is a ‘recidivism’ of almost 20% in the general population of convicted criminals.
I can only suspect that about the same number … one in five detained jihadists or one in six … will return to jihad.

Does Shamima Begum believe this also?
……………..
Exactly. But few will know to ask this question–and asking it would no doubt be deemed “Islamophobic”.
mortimer says
Further to GI: we cannot know for certain what Begum thinks about kafirs in her heart of hearts, but if she DOESN’T hate kafirs ‘for the sake of Allah’, then she is not fully practicing Islam, and she is not practicing one of Islam’s ESSENTIAL TEACHINGS, namely, AL WALAA WAL BARAA (Islamic apartheid).
gravenimage says
True–and we know that she has not left Islam.
Eleanor says
I’d love to know who it is pulling her strings, advising her, and writing her scripts, because this woman is actually as thick as two short planks. However, you can be sure this woman will be allowed back to the UK in the not too distant future. It will be a covert procedure, so the UK citizens are kept in the dark. They’d probably like to give her a new identity but they realise that would be impossible as most people would know that horrible ugly mug anywhere.
mortimer says
Her lawyer is instructing her.
Jeffrey Smith says
There is no way that ISIS could have done what they did to those poor people of Syria and Iraq – all the be headings, people burnt alive, people shot in the back of the head etc with out the help of these willing Muslim women. All that Ms Begum wants to do is to back to the UK to worship the true god of Islam – the Western welfare system, wearing her burka.
Giacomo Latta says
”I do not believe that one evil justifies another evil.”
And the evil being perpetrated by the 22 victims of the terrorist attack was?
gravenimage says
Damn good question, Giacomo–many of the victims were young girls and their mothers just going to listen to music (of course this is Haram).
Also note the implicatuion that if the Jihadists had murdered other Infidels that it would be OK.
somehistory says
Evidently, it’s possible for her to be heard from there. So, she doesn’t need to return, she can just talk from a distance.
And, looks like she has a mustache. Or is it just the shadow, or an attempt to cover her deceitful mouth?
red bee says
She does no have to apologise for something she did not say. She said she is ok with the Manchester Arena bombing because “they” explained to her it is justified.
gravenimage says
Shamima Begum is now 22 years old, Red Bee–she is an adult. And this is not some complex, nuanced question–it is about whether it is OK for Muslims to *murder children*. She knew what she was saying. She–or more likely her lawyer–just realized that saying things like this doesn’t sound good if you are trying for sympathy.
gravenimage says
“I think I could very much help you in your fight against terrorism, because you clearly don’t know what you’re doing.”…
……………………….
If the UK lets Shamima Begum back in that would certainly confirm this claim…
