“Islamic State claims responsibility for attack in Congo,” Reuters, October 23, 2021:
CAIRO, Oct 23 (Reuters) – Islamic State claimed responsibility for an attack on a village this week in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, according to a statement published on Friday on its affiliated Telegram channels.
Residents of Kalembo village told Reuters that rebels killed 16 people and torched houses in an attack on Wednesday that a local human rights group blamed on the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), a Ugandan armed group active in the region….
The ADF has operated in the dense forests near the Ugandan border for more than three decades and began killing civilians in large numbers in 2014.
The group has publicly aligned itself with Islamic State, but a June report from the United Nations found no evidence of direct support from Islamic State to the ADF.

Somehistory, the government in Congo–such as it is–is not actually Muslim. The country is only about 3% Muslim–but Jihadists are taking advantage of the general chaos there to wage Jihad.

Whether the Congo, Uganda, someplace in the Middle East, India, North America, Europe, the Philippines, etc., Muslims are murdering many aplenty on a daily basis in the name of their warped religion. A given.
So utterly sick of Islam as I am of excuses for Islam. But nothing will change for the time being because we live in the stupidest period of Western history, i.e., our era. Even the Early Middle Ages were not as dark as is our time because at least back then there were solid reasons to conclude that civilization was on the verge of extermination but now there is no reason to conclude this MINUS the collective stupidities of political correctness, multiculturalism, the cancel culture and wokeness, all four of which are demonstrative of how idiotic and silly the West has become, courtesy first and foremost of the Left and secondarily of the cowardice of those who know better but who refuse to speak up.
