Iran has been emboldened by Western globalists, and especially by the weak Biden administration, which has been groveling to the Iranian mullahs, trying to get them to rejoin negotiations on a nuclear deal, a deal which in the past has lavishly funded Iranian ambitions.
The pro-Palestinian Biden administration, not to mention the persistent undermining of Israel by “the Squad,” leaves Israel in a position where it must be particularly vigilant in protecting its very existence, as well as the safety of its citizens.
It is troubling that an Iranian-linked presence would be so close to the Israeli border, signifying a new level of provocation by Iran.
“Shooting in Syria could mark new phase in Israeli campaign,” Al Jazeera, October 17, 2021:
The death of a former Syrian Druze lawmaker, allegedly by Israeli sniper fire, could mark a new phase in what Israel calls its war against Iranian entrenchment in neighbouring Syria.
Midhat Saleh was fatally shot on Saturday in Ein el-Tinneh, a village along the Israeli frontier in the occupied Golan Heights where he ran a government office, Syria’s state-run news agency said.
Israeli media reported Saleh had been assisting the Iranian military against Israel.
The Israeli military declined to comment, but if Saleh was indeed killed by Israel, it would mark the first time that Israeli snipers are known to have killed someone identified as an Iranian-linked target across the boundary.
Israel has said it will not tolerate a permanent Iranian military presence in Syria and has acknowledged carrying out scores of air attacks on alleged Iranian arms shipments and military targets in Syria in recent years….
Saleh was born in Majdal Shams, in the Israeli-controlled side of the Golan, and was jailed several times by Israel, most recently for 12 years until 1997.
He later moved to Syria, was elected to parliament in 1998, and served as an adviser to the government on the Golan issue.
The small Druze community living in the Israeli-controlled side of the Golan generally has good relations with Israel.
But many members still profess loyalty to Syria, in part because they have relatives on the other side….

Question: who’s afraid of stumbling, crumbling, senile Old Joe?
Answer: nobody.
The world is a more dangerous when the world’s terrorist do not fear the policeman, the US. Americans have always wanted to be left alone, but the world’s terrorists only listen to a president who is not afraid to use the deterrent from time to time and that doesn’t necessarily mean starting a war.
Because Biden cut and ran in Afghanistan, the terrorists are hoping they can force him to cut and run elsewhere as well. Biden is seen as the proverbial 98-lb weakling.

Yeah, good work! Golan belongs to Israel, so they don’t need any representatives in the Syrian parliament

ISIS took over Syria and terrorized the region for years with the close support of Turkey. Pres. Trump saw what was happening and swept ISIS out of Syria and Iraq with the help of a new plan from a brilliant general. The house of Syria was swept of its demons, but Biden left Syria unguarded and so the Iranian devils have entered to support the heretical Shi’ites in Beirut and Damascus. Syria still dreams of recapturing the Golan Heights and sending rockets and cannon fire into Israel’s military establishments, cities and towns. They have three more years to do it.
