My latest in PJ Media:
A new bulletin from the Department of Homeland Security took effect Thursday, and notes that “the Homeland continues to face a diverse and challenging threat environment.” Hey, that’s great news! The terror threat is now officially “diverse” — that’s a good thing, right? Diversity is our strength! The diversity, in this case, includes both “domestic violent extremists and those inspired or motivated by foreign terrorists and other malign foreign influences,” but it’s clear that the feds are most concerned about those domestic violent extremists. As USA Today noted in its report on the new DHS bulletin, “In September, FBI Director Christopher Wray referred to the rising domestic terror threat, telling a Senate committee that domestic terror cases had more than doubled since early 2020.” Sure they have. But is this because there are more domestic terror cases, or because the feds are now aggressively looking for some in order to validate their claims?
The DHS bulletin warned of the possibility of terror attacks in the coming weeks, as “several religious holidays and associated mass gatherings” are now approaching “that in the past have served as potential targets for acts of violence.” At the same time, however, officials conceded that intelligence agencies have not found any “imminent and credible threat to a specific location in the United States.”
The threats they’re really worried about are those that supposedly come from alleged right-wing extremists who are enraged at Biden’s handlers’ gallop toward authoritarianism: “The ongoing global pandemic continues to exacerbate these threats, in part due to perceived government overreach in implementation of public health safety measures.”
Oh yeah, there are jihadis around as well: “Further, foreign terrorist organizations and (domestic violent extremists) continue to attempt to inspire potential followers to conduct attacks in the United States, including by exploiting recent events in Afghanistan.” This is because al Qaeda and ISIS “celebrated perceived victories over the United States and encouraged the use of violence by their followers and supporters to further their objectives. These foreign terrorist organizations will likely continue to maintain a highly visible online presence in an attempt to inspire U.S.-based individuals to engage in violent activity.”
The part about jihadis possibly plotting to strike inside the United States is certainly true, and there is abundant attestation to that from the open and unapologetic words of the jihadis themselves. But the clear implication of the DHS bulletin—that the threat the jihadis pose to the U.S. is secondary to a terror threat from Americans who are angry at the federal government’s outrageous overreach in the months that Joe Biden has pretended to be president of the United States—is as baseless as it is ominous.
There is more. Read the rest here.

The Brandon Administration is filled with buffoons and liars. Off hand, I can’t think of one that is competent and honest.
mortimer says
Too true, Wellington. No great beacons of reason and integrity among them. They are all minions of the Oligarchs who will say whatever they are ‘instructed’ to say … just like Brandon himself.
‘They have instructed me (Pres. Brandon) to call (only) these journalists …’
Anyone who is watching will see it, but most Americans are sleeping, not observing the signs that the Deep State is manipulating things.

Woke incompetency of Biden gestapo!
If they are talking about right wing terror attacks they are likely planning false flags.

THAT’S why it’s so frightening to ponder impeachment&Removal of quid pro Joe!!! Just run your finger down the succession list! (It’s HORRIBLE!)

Threat is not only from fundamental Islam, every Islam is terrorist, the perpetrators of Armenian, Pontic Greek and Assyrian genocides were moderately islamic Ottomans including Attaturk , they were not very religious and yet they conducted a religious genocide. Islam in itself is deadly and genocidal and the doctrine demands this type of war
Wellington says
In the case of Ataturk, he wasn’t even a moderate Muslim. He essentially despised Islam. What drove Ataturk was Turkish nationalism, excessive Turkish nationalism, and directed often times at non-Turks. I believe with Erdogan it is both excessive Turkish nationalism and ardent belief in the worst religion of all time.
Dhimmi says
It was a religiously motivated genocide because only Christian minorities were targeted
gravenimage says
The Armenian Genocide did indeed continue under Ataturk, including the horrifying destruction of Smyrna.

Well, they have brought in hundreds of thousands…to be here as the rest of us citizens…who will be **domestic** but not domesticated, as in they will continue their “culture” and their filthy practices…which they have already demonstrated on the military bases.
So, now, it really is a *domestic* danger as opposed to some from other countries coming in on student visas, going to flight training school, or to Naval Air Stations and learning how to fly military jets…and committing terror as a side dish…er, really their main course, the reason for being here.
Of course, that is not what this idiot means. Lie, lie lie, lie lie lie lie lie lie lie. lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie.

DHS Issues New Bulletin Warning of ‘Domestic Violent Extremists’
…………………
Or, as sane people refer to them, Trump voters…
Notice that none of these claims ever include actual citations of cases of “violent domestic extremism”…
Fitna says
They have to invent a boogeyman to distract from the real danger of Islam because Muslims probably are probably putting gold bars in all of their pockets to look the other way.
And if they’re doing it for free, they’re a lot dumber than they look. It’s like the retarded European police who can never seem to find a motive when a Muslim shouts ‘Allah Akbar’ and beheads people for Islam. We’re ruled by chimps.
gravenimage says
I think the police have been told to say this. I can’t believe they are all so gormless.
tgusa says
I have to agree with what Fitna wrote except, “We’re ruled by chimps” . Never underestimate your enemy no matter how stupid they appear.
I do believe that local police are on to what is going on but they have been intimidated in to silence. At some point I do believe they will choose honor over political correctness. When that occurs we will know the tide has turned.
BTeboe says
How about some examples of domestic violent extremists. Are you talking about BLM or Antifa? Because those are domestic violent extremists. But I don’t see you going after any of those people. In fact our elected leaders were paying the bail and the Soros paid lawyers and AGs let them out with no charges half the time, regardless of whatever crime they committed. DHS’ job is to protect the homeland and I see an invasion on our southern border, with hundreds of thousands of people, drugs, human traffickers, gangs, cartels entering at will. While illegal aliens are being shipped around by your office to unsuspecting towns and cities in the middle of the night.

Manufacturing fear. Perpetual fear. The DC centered police state has learned that Americans of today are susceptible to fear and they are capitalizing on that fear. In the years since 9-11 the law enforcement surveillance state in America has become something that the East German Stasi would have killed to acquire. They need an enemy to support their existence on the massive scale we have now.
gravenimage says
Jihad actually *is* a threat–just look at the Jihad terror attacks; over 40,000 just since 9/11. The vagueness of “domestic violent extremism”, not so much.
tgusa says
“Jihad actually *is* a threat”
That goes a long way in explaining why they are still letting them in. Job security.
gravenimage says
tgusa, letting Muslims in has more to do with too many people in the West thinking that invading Muslims are just needy refugees.
It is not as though the only people supporting Muslim migration are those in security and law enforcement–this clearly is not the case.
tgusa says
I don’t think I need to include everyone that is complicit in that in every post I make. I have never had a knock on my door with someone asking if I support the so-called refugee resettlement.
gravenimage says
I still think it is important to be accurate, tgusa. You may of course disagree.
tgusa says
I agree with you. That is just one of the things that irritate me when discussing a particular issue. You know, the, well these people are doing this but I must note that those people are doing that, just to be inclusive. We see that a lot today and that really annoys me and I wont engage in it.
gravenimage says
OK

Compared to the America of my youth and today’s America, I don’t even recognize the place any longer. And back in the day we did have a good amount of domestic terror but many of those domestic extremists of yesteryear have now joined the establishment. Domestic terrorists that back then wanted to blow the country up.
gravenimage says
Yes–a lot of the far left. The 1960’s and especially the ’70s were pretty nasty. I remember the SLA, the Black Panthers, and the Zebra Killings.
Kagman says
Quoting you: “those domestic extremists of yesteryear have now joined the establishment.”
Yes, they’re called Democrats

Jihad is a ‘THREAT’ ?? Yes, jihad is a CANONICAL THREAT TEACHING embedded in Islam’s primary source texts, secondary canonical commentaries and in tertiary SHARIA LAW.
Jihad threatens all non-Muslims. And the threat of jihad comes from ALL RACES and regions where Muslims live.
Islam’s JIHAD THREAT is VERY ‘DIVERSE’.
mortimer says
Diversity of jihad is Islam’s strength.
tgusa says
“Diversity of jihad is Islam’s strength.”
Yes, it is. Add that to the furious effort to ignore jihad and you get a combination built to fail.
raja says
Gravenimage,
With all due respect to you,
Jihad is actually a war on non-Muslims for their faith or otherwise. I believe threat is a gross understatement.
Wellington says
Raja: With respect, I have no doubt whatsoever that gravenimage knows full well how inimical Islam is to all non-Muslims (and, as well, to freedom in general), irrespective of what particular word is used for any comment du jour.
gravenimage says
Thank you, Raja–I am well aware of this.
gravenimage says
Thank you, Wellington.
OLD GUY says
The real threat is islamic migration and our lack of border.control and imigration enforcement. If you are here illegally or overstay your visa you need to be deported you have broken the laws of the United States of America. But NO our Justice Department is concerned about American citizens who protest their governments failure to protect them. We the American citizens are being overrun with illegal migrants 20 million or so and our government ignores the problem. I’d say that 20 million illegal migrants represents a major invasion of our country, So just why doesn’t our Justice Department or Political Leaders enforce the existing laws? We as citizens are in trouble when our leaders can pick and choose which laws they enforce or don’t.

This guy and Fauci are good examples of why weird looking little people should not be put in charge of anything.
They’ve got grudges to settle.
gravenimage says
Roberta, it is true that Anthony Fauci is just 5’7″, and Alejandro Mayorkas is even shorter at 5’2″.
But Robert Spencer is not a tall man (not that he is “weird looking”)–but in any case, he clearly has no grudges to settle. Height is not actually an indication of character.–I don’t think the problem with either one of them is that they are not tall.
Of course, I’m darn short myself… 🙂
