“Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan told his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron that Turkey will not travel to Paris to attend a meeting on Libya if Libya were also invited.” But then he brazenly went on to add Greece, Cyprus and Israel.
The summit was organized by the “United Nations, Germany and Italy in Paris for November 12,” and it aims to “gather regional and international heads of state to try and resolve the Libya issue.”
There’s a good reason why Erdogan refuses to cooperate with certain countries on Libya. That’s because he has his own grand plans for Libya, and he knows Greece, Cyprus and Israel will not support him. He also knows that he has been quietly working out Libya’s future with Libyan groups. His closest ally in executing those plans is Qatar — both Turkey and Qatar seek a Muslim Brotherhood regime in Libya. In November 2019, an agreement was reached between Turkey and the “internationally recognized Libyan government in Tripoli.” The defense ministers of both Turkey and Qatar have already “signed a military agreement with the Muslim Brotherhood Government in Tripoli.” And they mean business. Part of that agreement involves setting up a military training camp to train Muslim Brotherhood troops.
Erdogan’s mission and vision for Libya does not mesh in the slightest degree with that of Greece, Cyprus and Israel. These countries understand what Turkey is up to. However, it is easy for Erdogan to run rings around countries such as Germany, Italy and France. To Erdogan (and other Islamic supremacists), those leaders are easily manipulated useful idiots.
“Erdoğan to Macron: Turkey won’t attend Libya conference if Greece and Cyprus are invited,” Greek City Times, November 1, 2021:
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan told his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron that Turkey will not travel to Paris to attend a meeting on Libya if Libya were also invited.
Speaking on his meeting with Macron at the G-20 summit in Rome, Erdoğan told journalists on his return from the summit that “We cannot attend a Paris conference to which Greece, Israel and the Greek Cypriot administration participate, we told him.
“This is our condition. If these countries are to attend the conference, then there is also no need to send special representatives.”
The summit, organised by the United Nations, Germany and Italy in Paris for November 12, will gather regional and international heads of state to try and resolve the Libya issue.
Libyan has been in a state of war since longtime ruler Muammar Gaddafi was removed in a NATO-backed operation in 2011.
However, the country remains destabilized as Turkey has not only sent Syrian mercenaries to defend Muslim Brotherhood elements in the country, but violates resolutions…..

“Riddle me this?” What are the chances France will remember its part in the Munich 1938 “conference” on Czechoslovakia, where the Czechs were invited not to come? If history does not repeat, it certainly can rhyme. Some questions cannot be solved by negotiation.

Damn good question, Frank.
GreekEmpress says
This is all part of Erdogan’s plan to overwhelm Europe with Muslim migrants and to establish an Ottoman Empire with himself as head.
Wellington says
So, Turkey doesn’t come. So what? Let Erdogan eat dirt.
Infidel says
Precisely! Turkey has no business in Libya. Involve Libya’s neighbors – Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria as well as Italy, which is where people have been leaving Libya for
Also, critical as I am of France, one thing they and most of the countries around have gotten right is supporting Gen Haftar, who by regional standards is secular. Whereas the UN recognized government in Tripoli is unable to confront ISIS. If Italy and others want an end to the ships leaving Libya for Italy, then Haftar is the guy who can do it for them. Yeah, he may be supported by Russia, but he’s also supported by Egypt and UAE, and was previously a US citizen, based in Langley, and so has a long history w/ the CIA. It’s moronic of the US to not support him

……………….
As well as Libya itself…
Clearly Erdogan is not concerned about Jihad terror in Libya–he just wants a direct hand in it himsef.

Erdogan is a whiny little pouting cry baby but we see that a lot in the muslim world. That is getting very tiresome. Is it too much to ask that he grow up and be a man?

the sultans plans for libya are those of his worldwide jihad he is waging…. neighboring countries such as greece should have no say in the future of libya according to the sultan because those know for fact that the jihadi tripoli government will establish nothing more than another world jihad state such as the taliban or turkey right in the middle of the mediteranean….
the sultan has transported jihadis from syria who are its main mercenaries, who have commited crimes against humanity against the local civilian population… experienced by the war in syria and iraq jihadis take over the petroleum oil rigs that haftar is still holding. he wants no real talks or negotiations of what his jihadis will do… with the petroleum he can financially support his jihadis in libya to conquer the rest of the country and establish another chalifate region….
general haftars secular leader defending the rest of libya and the oils from the jihadis made the mistake upon the war to get support from russian mercenary forces wagner and this is the reason that the un recognised the opposite part…. but lets take it realistically, not only the mediteranean countries like egypt greece cyrpous israel, want to support a secular normal state rather than another jihadi part of the ottomaniac chalifate…. russia also supports haftar…. and this becomes a reason to support the jihadi side if a future government of libya is pro russian…. that is what is happening there now… i am sure that if haftar got military support from other countries who support him on papers, equivalent to the jihadi mercenaries of turkey and the turkish navy and the turkish airforce that is moved to libya since 2019, he would oust the russians and win the war into a democratic new libya… as we can see here just as turkey has taken advantage of the fall of qaddafi so have the russian and both moved forward with mercenaries to fight for the resources first and for the whole country….
unfortunately many support haftar but few can send the military required to tackle the mad jihadi mercenaries of the sultan from expanding the chalifate…
france usa and other countries demolished muamar gaddafi with the help of jihadis just as they tried with assad in syria…. but had they had a future plan to help those countries not become another jihadi safehaven and centres of worldwide jihad??? on the case of libya where they succeded it seems there was a chaos in the future of libya…. another destabilised country that sinks in the mediteranean…
born saturday says
it is a timeless practice of the democratic government in the usa to support even jihad when there is nobody else to tackle russian influence in the region… both because of their traditional relations with some states and because they want to push the russian as much as they can… a russia that has often reached to the point of declaring it will use its nuclear weapons many times fold so far….
it started with klinton in yougoslavia where the american military saved the turkalbanian jihadis from certain death in 1999….so that a pro russian country like the serbs does not advance to defeat its enemies the jihadi turkalbanians who celebrated the 2001 attack on the usa two years later…….
with the most recent jihad experience in syria and iraq it is determined that this government is traditionally provoking the jihad from the start and using the jihadis to start wars that it will take advantage off to intervene in order to attack pro russian countries… in other words the world war is been going on since then almost and particularly in these regions…
trump changed that tactic and whether it sound good or bad to some or other HE was the peace president in contrast with his opponents. trump did what he could for world peace and if his deed was equivalent within the usa it is very sad he lost the elections there…
VICTOR COWEN says
Do these mindless people REALLY run countries?
Surely he has listed the very people who SHOULD be invited to this worthless ‘conference.’
ErDOGan needs psychiatric help.
SAFI says
I’m not sure Israel or Cyprus were even actually invited or asked to attend that conference, so I don’t know what the hell was the point of this demand to Macron, my guess this probably just old Tayyip being unable to restrain himself from attacking Israel every time he sees a microphone or camera dangling in front of him, the poor guy really can’t help himself. This is incidentally the same Erdogan who alongside his ministers has often accused Greece and other neighboring countries of secretly scheming to “isolate” or “exclude” Turkey from regional developments even as he tries his hardest (even in the most overt way possible) to exclude these same countries he’s been accusing.
Infidel says
Exactly, I don’t see how Greece, Cyprus or Israel would be involved in Libya. Italy should be however, since they’re the ones getting all the refugees setting sail from Libya
Renos says
Cyprus was invited and our President will be there. Size doesn’t ALWAYS matter. 🙂
