The guardians of multiculturalism and diversity never foresaw this. They assumed that all the resistance to the call to prayer would come from native German “Islamophobes.” But they have already begun glossing over these complaints. Diversity is our strength, comrade.
“Debate in the Domforum: Muezzin call in Cologne-Ehrenfeld causes discussion,” translated from “Debatte im Domforum: Muezzinruf in Köln-Ehrenfeld sorgt für Diskussionen,” by Ulrike Weinert, Kölnische Rundschau, November 24, 2021 (thanks to Medforth):
The surprise was great when the administration announced on October 7th that mosque congregations would be allowed to broadcast the call for Friday prayers in the future. “When we hear the call of the muezzin in addition to the church bells in our city, it shows that diversity is valued and lived in Cologne,” explained Mayor Henriette Reker. This kicked off a debate that the Catholic Education Agency, the Melanchthon Academy and the Catholic Committee now took as an opportunity for an open discussion in the Cathedral Forum.
Actually, everything was quickly said after the professor of public law and religious law, Stefan Muckel, made it clear: “The muezzin call is a creed and is therefore protected by the Basic Law, which the state cannot easily restrict – whether you like it or not not.” Bettina Baum, who will soon head the Office for Integration and Diversity, added that the city could create the framework conditions to balance interests, for example to protect residents from excessive volume and at times that disturb sleep.
But the reference to the freedom of the mosque communities in Cologne did not calm the emotional debate. The former member of the Bundestag Lale Akgün claimed that most of the 2,000 or so communities in Germany were “more or less aligned with the politicized Islam of Turkey.” And they persecute dissenters such as the ex-Muslim Mina Ahadi, who had to be placed under police protection after a protest against the muezzin call in front of the Ditib mosque in Ehrenfeld.
The application for the public call to prayer at the central mosque in Ehrenfeld was submitted by the Ditib (Turkish-Islamic Union of the Institute for Religion). According to Ditib, the duration of the proceedings “cannot be foreseen.”
An “information flyer” is currently being prepared for interested citizens. Talks with the neighborhood about the public call to prayer are also being prepared. This was announced by the Ditib on Wednesday.
Several visitors who had fled their Muslim countries spoke up. They said they had to listen to prayers while they were being tortured. They perceive muezzin calls as a reminder of the trauma. Abdassamad El Yazidi, spokesman for the Coordination Council of Muslims in Germany, warned against blaming religion for human rights violations. Pastor Dorothee Schaper suggested creating forums in which people who have been injured by abuse of religion should have their say. The view also went to Düren, where the muezzin call has long been part of the city.

Muslims no longer need this broadcast, amplified wailing noise, because most Muslims will not live near the mosque and many will have cellphone apps that will remind them of prayer times. There are many dozens of these prayer time apps for all tastes. Sadly, neighborhoods where amplified wailing is broadcast will immediately experience LOWER REAL ESTATE VALUES in the vicinity of the unwelcome sound. Only fanatical Muslims will end up in the vicinity of these noise machines and the result will be no-go zones and Sharia-enforcement zones … excellent environments for jihad development as well.
The words of the wailing are ‘Come to success’, but in light of the dysfunctionality of all Muslim-majority countries, the adnan lyrics should be ‘Come to failure … come to dysfunction … come to inequality … come to censorship.’
Islam is not benign … Sharia supremacism is not benign.

Yes–the call to prayer has little pracitcal use these days–it is more a declaration of dominance, and of aggresive virtual ownership of the area.

They are announcing their forward base of operations…their “fort” inside the city walls.
mozlums don’t need reminders…this is solely to intimidate and threaten the infidels.
And the foolish “leaders” are allowing it, encouraging it.
Oh what fools they are when islam they do tolerate. Oh what fools they are when islam they do accept. Oh what fools they are when islam they encourage to take…and take and take…until it is too late.

Exactly, Somehistory.

As if it’s not bad enough that they spoil our cityscapes with their ridiculously out of place onion domes, build ever more mosques whilst destroying our churches, take over our shopping areas with their halal bs – now they are invited to assert their ever increasing presence by shrieking their nonsense at a volume we can’t avoid hearing.

Who is Henriette Reker? Let’s remind you …
[Mayor] Reker was accused of victim blaming following the assaults on women at Cologne’s 2016 New Year’s Eve celebrations. She claimed that “there’s always the possibility of keeping a certain distance of more than an arm’s length – that is to say to make sure yourself you don’t look to be too close to people who are not known to you, and to whom you don’t have a trusting relationship”.

Germany: Refugees from Muslim countries protest call to prayer, they had to listen to it while being tortured

So ironic I don’t even know where to start…

…………….
Recall that the “diversity” that Cologne has become most known for in recent years is the mass molestation of women on New Year’s Eve by Muslim migrants…

Funny that it takes Muslim refugees to object to the call to Islamic prayer in the public square and that it’s best if the German State would be more “secular” in what it allows to be imposed on the people in terms of public displays of religiosity. Put that in your multicultural tolerance soup and drink it.

“Abdassamad El Yazidi, spokesman for the Coordination Council of Muslims in Germany, warned against blaming religion for human rights violations.”
He is hoping to deflect attention away from Islam.
Islam imposes a great number of human rights violations – FGM, gender discrimination, inequality before the law, discrimination against same sex relationships, forbidding of free speech. The list goes on.
