Ali Salajeqeh knows how the game is played.
“Iranian VP: Sanctions, Economic Terrorism Exacerbate Global Warming,” Fars News Agency, November 10, 2021 (thanks to Henry):
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Vice-President and Head of the Department of Environment Ali Salajeqeh warned that the sanctions and economic terrorism launched against his country and other states is a major contributor the exacerbation of global warming.
“An emerging threat to sustainable development is the emergence of economic terrorism. Unjustifiable and unfair economic coercive measures that have been imposed upon my country have targeted the wellbeing and health of our citizens. Among others, such measures have seriously constrained access to and transfer of relevant technologies and equipment, necessary for our national mitigation and adaptation efforts as well as air quality improvement,” Salajeqeh said, addressing the UN climate summit in Glasgow, Britain.
“These coercive measures and sanctions, in explicit contravention to global sustainable development agenda and relevant multilateral agreements, have consequences beyond our national context, hence, contributing to global warming,” he added.
The full text of his remarks is as follows:
Climate change is a global challenge with serious consequences for nations across the globe. We should act now, for the cost of inaction far outweighs those of taking concrete measures. We need to address the root causes of climate change in order to be able to respond to it effectively. As acknowledged by scientific evidence, the largest share of historical emissions, causing concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere have occurred during the industrial revolution. Developed countries, however, continue to seem hesitant to take the lead. The mitigation gap remains due to their unfulfilled, insufficient and sometimes evaded commitments….

Just as infrastructure can be anything you want it to be, so does anything you don’t like be a contributor to global warming. And let’s not forget that white supremacists in America are the real terrorist menace.
We live in a mad era, an Alice in Wonderland era, except there are many red Queens out there, not only one. They’re everywhere, not just in America, they’re vicious and they’re mad as a hatter.

Just from a science perspective, if Iranian oil can’t be sold in the open market, chances are that it cannot be exhausted as fast if it’s only domestically consumed, or consumed only by rogue customers, such as China and Afghanistan. Given all that, sanctions would actually slow, if not reduce, global warming
Also, hasn’t Iran gotten the memo that the correct term is now ‘climate change’, since ‘global warming’ lost all credibility due to falling temperatures over the last decade?

Alas, Infidel, Iranian oil is far more widely used than that:

Iran’s vice-president by those words he had spoken had exposed what a disingenuous and ignorant man he actually is.
On June first of the year 2017 on television on the Smithsonian channel was a program about the ecology and the dangers posed to it that would be harmful for all living things, including humans. Likewise in Summit on the subject of climate change held in Europe by the different countries in the ecology is, very obviously, viewed as a very important topic to many people.
Therefore, all of this is somewhat reminder that once when I was watching television a scientist was interviewed and he was, most likely, sincere when he said the in forty years unless drastic changes were enacted to stop the pollution of the environment living conditions on earth will be uninhabitable for all life. So environmental issues of this plaint are extremely important. The point is that interview with that scientist on television was in the year 1967. Now it’s the year 2021 and thus more than fifty years sine he said “In forty years “there will be awful environmental disaster.
This should tell all thinking people something.

+1.
Man-made climate change is as phony as Islam. This is my take and I’m stickin’ to it.

Wellington,
I agree, and to your point:

Point is that climate has always changed and will always change, and there is nothing that we can do about it. Also, to the extent that the Arctic melts, it will also make huge amounts of Siberia and Greenland inhabitable, and rising ocean levels would also contribute towards more rainfall in countries that are running low on their water supply. We should just leave nature alone and do whatever we need to to keep our economies humming
