When nuclear talks in Vienna renewed on November 29, Tehran demanded the lifting of all American sanctions as a condition precedent for restoring the 2015 nuclear deal.
Iran’s Foreign Minister roundly declared that before anything else could begin to be discussed, all the sanctions on Iran had to be lifted.
“The United States still fails to properly understand the fact that there is no way to return to the deal without verifiable and effective lifting of all sanctions imposed on the Iranian nation after the US departure,” Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said in a statement as Monday’s talks began.
Will the Bidenites capitulate and remove the sanctions now, because they are so eager – some might say desperate — for a deal? Perhaps they have convinced themselves that Iran, and not the U.S., is in the catbird seat. If they do think that way, they need to look at Iran’s economy, which has shrunk by 50% since 2017, and continues to contract. They need to learn about the thousands of protestors in Isfahan, Iran’s third largest city, enraged at the mismanagement of scarce water resources, and at the failure of the state to respond to the worst drought in 50 years, who have been shouting against the government, with cries of “Death to the Dictator!” and “Death to Khamenei.” Those protests were suppressed through the use of live fire, resulting in several deaths, and many wounded, news of which has spread on social media throughout the country, further increasing anger against the government. This puts the Iranian leadership In an anxious, uneasy-lies-the-head mood.
And if the Americans were to remove the sanctions, and thereby manage to have Iran rejoin the original, and now woefully superannuated deal, that revived deal will be even less adequate than it was when signed in 2015. In the last few years Iran has managed to go much farther down the road to nuclear weapons with its enrichment of uranium to 60% purity. That far exceeds the cap set in the 2015 nuclear deal. In fact, the situation is even worse: according to the Israelis, Iran is now preparing to enrich uranium to weapons-grade 90% purity.
There is no civilian use for 90%-enriched uranium.
The preparations for higher enrichment could enable Tehran to reach the weapons-grade level within weeks, the Israeli report says, adding that Israeli analysts claim Iran could make such a decision soon, in order to influence the Vienna talks with world powers that began again, after a seven-month lapse, on Nov. 29.
How long would it take Iran to go from having enriched enough weapons-grade uranium to be able to make a bomb, to actually making a bomb? The Israelis estimate it might take two months, possibly three. Perhaps the Bidenites think that Tehran could be persuaded to give up that stockpile of uranium enriched to a 90% purity before producing a bomb. That is not at all likely, for two reasons. First, with the Bidenites having lifted all sanctions on Iran as a condition precedent to the renewal of the talks, they will no longer have a credible way to pressure Iran. Were the Americans at that point to re-impose sanctions, an enraged Iran would immediately end all negotiations with the U.S. and in a come-hell-or-high-water mood, move swiftly to the production of a few bombs. Second, why should anyone think that, once having finally attained, through tremendous effort and expense, enough weapons-grade uranium to make a nuclear weapon or two, the fanatics who rule in Tehran would turn that stockpile over to the International Atomic Agency? Third, when the Iranians say that they intend to destroy Israel, the Bidenites appear not to take them seriously, but the Israelis, who live in a dangerous neighborhood, and have had to fight for their very survival as a nation three times (in 1948, 1967, 1973), most emphatically do take the Iranians seriously. Israel can do no other. It is during those two or three months, between the time when Iran has produced enough weapons-grade uranium to make a bomb and the actual making of it, that Israel will have to strike, with or without American participation or approval or even prior knowledge.
The latest example of an Iranian warning that Israel must take to heart – and act upon, while there is still time, before the weapons-grade uranium is used to make a nuclear bomb – is discussed by Daniel Greenfield at Jihad Watch here, and here is a full report: “Iranian Brig.-Gen. urges destruction of Israel prior to nuke talks,” by Benjamin Weinthal, Jerusalem Post, November 28, 2021:
The spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s armed forces, Brig.-Gen. Abolfazl Shekarchi, on Saturday urged the total elimination of the Jewish state during an interview with an Iranian regime-controlled media outlet.
“We will not back off from the annihilation of Israel, even one millimeter. We want to destroy Zionism in the world,” Shekarchi told the Iranian Students News Agency.
The IDF commanders, and the political echelon in Israel, surely have Shekarchi’s message imprinted on their brains: “We will not back off from the annihilation of Israel.” He didn’t say that “If Israel does thus and so…we will attack it.” He made clear that Israel’s very existence is reason enough to “annihilate” the Jewish state. Would that the Bidenites, too, would take Shekarchi’s statement to heart, and help Israel to do what it must. For example, it is still not publicly known If Israel’s newest 5,000 lb. MOPs (Massive Ordnance Penetrators), familiarly known as “bunker busters,” are able to penetrate through stone and cement with as much force as America’s older 20,000 lb. MOPs, and do as much damage to the nuclear facilities inside the mountain at Fordow. American bunker busters ought to be supplied if Israel makes that request. The Jewish state will, after all, be making not just itself, but the entire region, safer if it can put Iran’s nuclear program out of commission.
Shekarchi’s genocidal antisemitic remarks come just days before the nuclear talks are set to restart in Vienna Monday[Nov. 29] on curbing the Islamic Republic of Iran’s illicit nuclear program. The United States and other world powers are seeking to provide Tehran with economic sanctions relief in exchange for temporary restrictions [“temporary” because all restrictions on Iran’s building of nuclear weapons will expire in 2030] on its atomic program. Israel and other countries believe Iran’s regime seeks to build a nuclear weapons device.
The Iranian general also blasted Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates for normalizing diplomatic relations with Israel, terming the diplomacy “intolerable” for Iran’s clerical regime. “Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE and other countries considered as Muslims, for us they part of the Zionist regime and this is very important,” said Shekarchi.
The normalization of ties between Israel and the four Arab states that have so far joined the Abraham Accords goes far beyond “diplomatic relations.” It includes, most importantly, mutually beneficial deals in trade, tourism, and technology. Iran is enraged that any Musim state could possibly enter into any agreements with the Jewish state. While some Arab partners of Israel have accepted its help in husbanding water resources and producing new sources of water — including desalination, drip irrigation, recycling of waste water, and production of water from the ambient air — Iran will continue to suffer from the worst drought in 50 years. Many Iranians deplore this state of affairs, where out of its unappeasable hatred Iran refuses the help Israel could, and if allowed would gladly provide. Some may remember Benjamin Netanyahu’s appearance in a video on June 10, 2018, aimed at the people of Iran, to whom he offered Israel’s help in overcoming the country’s drought, and spoke of a Farsi website set up by Israel to provide information on the recycling of water.
Sheina Vojoudi, an Iranian dissident who fled the Islamic Republic and now lives in Germany, told The Jerusalem Post that “A normal Iranian government, made by the Iranian people, would try to normalize ties with Israel. We could have great deals which can help both nations. Israeli water technology can help us to pass a serious water problem in Iran and an Iranian government would try to exchange knowledge about environmental issues especially water scarcity that we’re facing right now but the Islamic Republic instead of solving all these problems, plans for the destruction of Israel and shoots people who ask for water.”
Shekarchi has previously lashed out at Israel, saying that Iran’s regime can “level Haifa and Tel Aviv in the shortest possible time.”
When Shekarchi talks of leveling “Haifa and Tel Aviv,” the Israelis cannot ignore that threat. They must proceed on the assumption that as soon as it acquires nuclear weapons, Iran will do exactly what its leaders repeatedly say they intend to do: “annihilate” — or try to — Israel. The Iranians have a habit of meaning what they say. Ayatollah Khomeini meant what he said about imposing a regime of vilayet-e-faqih – rule by the clerics – in the tapes he made while in his French exile at Neauphle-le-chateau. Few of his leftist allies took his words seriously. When he returned to Iran Khomeini meant what he said when he declared war on the leftists whom he had used to help bring down the Shah. Those leftists filled up Evin Prison before being summarily execued by the thousands. The Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, meant what he said when he called Israel “a “cancerous tumor” that must be “uprooted and destroyed,” and he also compared it to the coronavirus, writing that “some argue that the Zionist regime is a reality that the region must come to terms with. Today the #Covid-19 is a reality; should it be accepted or fought?! The long-lasting virus of Zionism will be uprooted thanks to the determination and faith of the youth.“ Brig.-Gen. Abolfazl Shekarchi means what he says when he calls for the “annihilation” of the Jewish state. The Bidenites may not take literally the eliminationist threats coming from the Supreme Leader, and from General Shukarchi, and from many other Iranian leaders, but the Israelis know better.
The Jewish state must act accordingly. That means only one thing: as soon as it becomes clear that Iran has enough weapons-grade uranium to make a bomb, then from Israeli planes in the skies over Iran, it will have to be bombs aweigh.

That Iranian general who is looking forward towards the total annihilation of Israel is really only having his own Islamic fantasy. To put in another way he’s having nothing but an Islamic daydream.
This is because God favors Israel and will keep her from being destroyed. So no matter who much that and the other Iranian generals ,along with the other Iranian military top brass may scheme and gather weapons to prepare for the elimination of Israel, that jihadist goal will never be achieved.
As God has revealed in His Word, the Bible “For the Lord has chosen jacob for Himself, Israel for His special treasure.” Psalm 125:4. [N..K.J.V..]
In addition to this, it’s very clear in the Bible that God has given the Jewish people all of that land that is now the State of Israel , this also included the West Bank. Genesis 28:13-15. 25:10-12. Deuteronomy 32: 48,49. Psalm 105:7-11.
Westman says
Gen. Abolfazl Shekarchi appears to be the sort of military leader who would take the initiative, on his own, to start a war with Israel while having no concern for the suffering it would bring to millions of Iranian citizens.
Shekarchi has the appearance of a man who is posessed by a darkness that knows only destruction and death – a Terminator.
Walter Sieruk says
That aggressive and hostile Islamic regime of Iran supports and funds its stooge jihad terror entities, Hezbollah and Hamas to set of bombs to murders Israeli citizens. The officials of the State of Israel comprehend this then strike back, for brute force is the only language that the jihadists are able to understand. Just like a common criminal, the Iran’s Muslim tyrants refuse to accept that they are the ones that cause Israel to strike back. Therefore, that “mullah tyranny” launches further terrors strike against Israel for “revenge.” Even though they stated it all.
Iran’s mullah president Rasis along with Ayatollah Ali Khamenei with their despicable words with his brainwash and then get the Iranian people all worked up until they chant ,over and over again, “Death to Israel.”
Ayatollah Khamenei is so ignorant that he neither knows nor understand that that all his Muslim stooge terror organizations, Hamas, Hezbollah. Hamas etc. are all fated to fail in their Islamic agenda of destroying the State of Israel and replacing with Islamic “state.” The reason that they will lose in the end and lose hard is because the members of those jihad terror entities are striving against the Will of God. The members who compose those Islamic terror groups might be too ignorant to know this; nevertheless, the truth is the God had given all land that now composes the State of Israel, including all of the West Bank, to the Jewish people. This may be found in the Bible, as seen in, for example, Genesis 28:13-15. 35:10-12. Deuteronomy 32:48,49. Psalm 105:7-11. 135:4. In other words the Jews have all this land by Divine Right. Furthermore, the Jewish people should have this land by historic rights as shown in First Kings 4:20,21, 24,25. 8:55, 56.
Still, in all fairness, there is one way for Khamenei and Iran’s Revolutionary Guards along with the Muslim members who make up Hezbollah and Hamas to convince God to change His Mind about being so much for Israel and then cause Him to turn His back on Israel and then have that nation be no more. That way is for the members of the jihad organizations to gather together and then change the laws of astrophysics, including those laws of astrophysics the control the sun, the moon and the stars. For God had declared in His Word, the Bible, in Jeremiah 31:35,36. “Thus saith the Lord, Who gives the sun for a light by day and the ordinances of the moon and stars for a light by night…The Lord of host is His name. If those ordinances depart from before Me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before Me forever.”

Sorry to have to say it but never mind the Bible. Iran still has to live in the real world.
1. They are broke
2. They have no water/food.
3. Their people are leaving as fast as they can to go anywhere they can get to.
4. Iran was once a holiday destination- nobody would dream of that now.
5. Iran is run by extremist criminals who always end up either in Monaco or similar or the gallows. You only have to wait.
PS: Stop publicising the meanderings of these Islamic loonies they are so stupid they are off the charts.

Yeah, the vapid man in the Oval Office, there by stealth, is so deficient that he actually wants to get back into that stupid deal done by Obama and Kerry.
Leftists are cruel to the kind and kind to the cruel. A given. One of many that is easily discerned about Leftists. And they never learn unless they cease being a Leftist. Brandon never will.

“Leftists are cruel to the kind and kind to the cruel.”
Brilliant!
Now why didn’t I think of that?

Agreed James, Someone should be taking notes of Wellington’s quote’s, he is up there with the best of them.

I read that phrase years ago (in the 90s) in an illustration book about the 1994 mid-terms: that quote, if I recall right, was attributed to Rush Limbaugh. It went exactly; “He who is kind to the cruel is cruel to the kind”
