Pope Francis will say nothing to Turkey about this. Why not? Because doing so would harm his fruitless and illusory “dialogue.” And he would never, ever risk hurting that. More of my comments below.
“Cyprus Prelate Stuns Pope with Turkish Bomb,” by Jules Gomes, ChurchMilitant.com, December 6, 2021:
NICOSIA, Cyprus (ChurchMilitant.com) – The Orthodox archbishop of Cyprus has dropped a bombshell on Francis, lecturing the pontiff on Turkey’s “ethnic cleansing” of Cypriot Christians and asking him to imitate Pope Benedict XVI’s support for Cyprus against the Islamic aggressor.
“Turkey barbarically attacked us and by force of arms conquered 38% of our homeland and its Christian inhabitants, always expelling them from their patriarchal lands,” His Beatitude Chrysostomos II reminded Francis during the pope’s visit to Nicosia.
Addressing the pope in the presence of the Holy Synod of the Church of Cyprus at St. John’s Orthodox Cathedral Friday, the prelate described how the Turks looted the Byzantine churches, priests, mosaics and paintings “with incredible and unprecedented barbarity.”
“Not only did they imitate the bloodthirsty barbarity of Attila the Hun, but they surpassed him,” Chrysostomos stressed.
“And based on their abominable plans, they changed all our historical place names so that nothing Greek or Christian exists.”
“In this holy and just struggle of ours, Your Holiness, we want to have your own active support,” Chrysostomos pleaded, noting how Pope Benedict XVI had responded to an earlier request by the Church of Cyprus and mediated through the German government.
As a result of Benedict’s intervention, “we were able to bring back 500 fragments of our Byzantine culture, which Turkish archaeologists had transported to Munich,” the archbishop pointed out.
“We also look forward to your help, Your Holiness, to safeguard and respect our cultural heritage and to uphold the timeless values of our Christian culture, which are being brutally violated by Turkey today,” Chrysostomos urged.
Shaming Francis’ Inaction
Leading Islamic scholar and Middle Eastern historian Robert Spencer explained to Church Militant how the archbishop had effectively shamed Francis’ inaction on Turkish aggression:
To say something in defense of the Cypriots and criticizing Turkey’s actions in Cyprus would go against all of the pope’s irenic efforts at “dialogue” with Muslim leaders; a hallmark of this “dialogue” is that no critical word about Islam or Muslims will ever be spoken, as the pope assured the Grand Sheikh of al-Azhar, Ahmed al-Tayeb, when the dialogue resumed.
The pope’s response was muted because this sort of behavior by Turkey, proceeding on Islamic grounds, shows his claim that “authentic Islam and the proper reading of the Qur’an rejects every form of violence” is flatly false. Francis will never utter a critical word about Islam, and that in itself shows why his “dialogue” is useless and self-defeating.
Turkey’s 1974 invasion and part occupation of Cyprus in violation of international law resulted in 162,000 Christian Greek-Cypriots being expelled from their homes and becoming refugees in their own country….

pope francis came to tell us all about for islam therefore he should have not been to cyprous… it is what any visitor of any class will hear in the wartorn island at least on the south part… the genocide in cyprous and the displacement of half of the population of the island a few decades ago is a most recent sign of islam performing genocide to expand and steal infidel land…. up to this day turkey is provoking the generally and so far unarmed greek cypriot population with unlawful violations and claims… turkey, has concetrated vast numbers of military and weaponry on the north occupied territory of the island and threatens the remaining population of the island with war….
regardlessly there had been a weapons ban on the greek cypriots up untill last year so they could not get supplied with weapons… and nevertheless the turkish bully and threaten the country out of getting any arms deal to get armed…. it is a modern hostageship of a country that is part of the european union and predominatly christian… yet it is a taboo subject both for the eu and nato as part of the appeasment of turkey which is a general tactic since the grand takiya sultan was claiming he will westernise turkey and join the eu in order to attract loans and investments from europe that are now holding eu captive economically….
the eu and nato for decades chose to censor everything about cyprous as the easy path forward with turkey in its side and now finds that in the end, you can buy no friends they will betray you and sell you….

The ‘pope’ guy may as well have just said, “I don’t care one bit.” He may as well have just said, “mozlums are my people and I’ll stand on their side, whatever way the winds shift.” He may as well have replied to the plea for help with, “When pigs fly and mozlums admit that they worship satan, I’ll still not help you.”
The ‘pope’ is a false shepherd. He doesn’t even bother with the “sheep’s clothing,” because everyone who looks can see he is a wolf; and as the Bible says about those coming into Chris’s congregation, they “will not treat the flock with tenderness.”
He is here to ravage the flock. As Ezekiel makes clear, the “rams” stomp the grass and muddy the waters and push the “sheep” so that they cannot feed or have clean water to drink. Clearly, he is more of an enemy of Christ and His congregation than he is a helper and friend.

Yes.
And the interesting part is that he doesn’t even try to hide it.

He doesn’t believe he has to. He seems to believe that everyone who is Christian will just listen to him lie and he’ll not suffer any consequences.
He gets his food, his bed, his clothes, medical care, and fancy hat and can lie as if he was raised in a mozlum household, studied at a madrassa and leaned on the knee of the mb originator.
He evidently does not really **believe** in the God he pretends to serve or he would have to have a moment here and there to reflect on his behavior.
I watched two movies over the past couple of days. I didn’t choose either one; they were just in the queue after what I had selected finished.
One of them, “Time Changer”…with Gavin Mcleod, and Hal Linden, was about some guys at a Christian university in 1890 time travelling to today. The other, “An Inspector Calls,” was set in 1912, but could have been now also.
I didn’t choose either one, but glad I watched both. The ‘pope’ should watch them. He might learn something….but I really doubt that he would.

Yes, and add to this that a large percent of Catholics do not fully understand the doctrine of “Papal Infallibility”.

People should do more investigations into what they *believe*…or are supposed to believe.
I’m not Catholic, and therefore, have never had any ideas that popes were supposed to be infallible. But since the Bible declares in no uncertain terms that “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” I am aware that no human is right all of the time, and no human is without sin….a.k.a. imperfection.
There is also the Bible Truth which says that each one is responsible before God to “carry his own load.” Each person must answer for themselves, and can’t fall back on saying that another person told them to do such things, or believe such things because God holds us responsible for our actions/inactions.
More Catholics should find out what God says as opposed to what this ‘pope’ says. they would be the better for it.

James Lincoln,
Very true,
He is not even hiding the death wish of a section of people. He would rather replace the barbarians with the indigenous. He must be one of the most shameless man on earth.
BTW, did this man ever have parents on earth or is he the devil’s agent?

Orthodox archbishop tells Pope about Turkish ethnic cleansing of Cyprus, asks for his support
…………..
Good for him! Sadly, I doubt that Francis will pay any attention to this at all.
Rufolino says
The Pope blatantly contemptible, it’s unbelievable.
Westman says
There are rumors that the Vatican Chimney will be smoking in 2022. If true, Francis won’t be saying much about Cyprus and his travels will cease.
Let’s hope the next Pope doesn’t continue the unilateral smooching with Islam.
gravenimage says
This current pontiff still appears to be pretty vigorous–not sure he is going anywhere anytime soon, unless he “retires” like Pope Benedict, and that seems unlikely.
Jim says
All the crimes of Islamists have to be blamed on deviants and not on the scriptures and the leading theologians, but they seem to be derived from these sources of authentic Islam.
tim gallagher says
I’m glad that this no nonsense Orthodox church leader raised this issue with the Pope. I’m sure this Pope, who often seems to be more like an imam rather than a Christian church leader, will ignore it and keep sucking up to islam.
GreekEmpress says
Good for the Archbishop!
The atrocities in Cyprus were just a continuation of the genocide started in Anatolia of the Greek/Armenian/Assyrian populations. And which still go on today in Artsakh.
Boycott Turkey says
Well said Greek Empress the Pope is usless he doesn’t care about Greek Cypriot Refugees driven from there homes in North Cyprus or the Armenian Refugees driven from Artaksh his only reason for that stupid trip to Greece and Cyprus was to highlight the plight of Muslim refugees it’s was quite sickening to watch for me
gravenimage says
Grimly true, GreekEmpress. And at the *very least*, Turkey should have been kicked out of NATO after this vicious act of unprovoked aggression.
Infidel says
Speaking as a non-Christian, what I wonder is – does the pope care about non-Catholic Christians, be it Orthodox or Protestant? Or is he limited only to
CatholicsBIPOCs of intersectional attributes?gravenimage says
Infidel, he does not appear to care about any Christians, Catholic or otherwise.
john smith says
Now we know the pope has most definitely been informed about the barbarity of muslims, and the true nature of islam, will he change his tune, I doubt it.
On his death bed Francis of Assisi made a prophecy about a future pope, not being a true pastor but a destroyer. This present pope ticks all the boxes of that prophecy.
Boycott Turkey says
Very interesting seems Francis of Assisi prophecy has been fulfilled
john smith says
This is part of that prophecy, “At the time of this tribulation a man, not canonically elected, will be raised to the Pontificate, who, by his cunning, will endeavour to draw many into error and death.”
Now, according to wikileaks pope Francis wasn’t canonically elected, he was installed by George Soros, who paid the Vatican hierarchy thousands to force pope Benedict to resign.
Pope Francis with his open borders policies is obeying his master George Soros.

It all sounds truthful…there did seem to be some hanky-panky going on in 2013.
Per M. Webster:
Definition of hanky-panky
1: questionable or underhanded activity
2: sexual dalliance
Synonyms for hanky-panky
Synonyms
artifice, chicane, chicanery, gamesmanship, jiggery-pokery, jugglery, legerdemain, skulduggery (or skullduggery), subterfuge, trickery, wile

john smith says
Yes there was hanky panky (as you put it) going on in 2013.
Incidentally, pope Francis met up with Angela Merkel in Feb 2015, during their meeting they discussed the refugee crisis, and Merkel gave the pope a donation for refugee children in the middle east. Not long after that meeting Merkel opened the floodgates for over a million refugees to enter Germany.
Could this cunning pope of coerced this vulnerable idiot into doing this, I personally believe he did.

Boycott Turkey and John Smith, this “prophecy” from St. Francis did not actually turn up for several centuries, in a book by Bartolomeo da Pisa. Not sure I’d put a whole lot of stock in it.
john smith says
I don’t know about that Gravenimage, and if it’s true it still doesn’t prove that it wasn’t a prophecy by Francis of Assisi.
Anyway true or not true, the prophecy was around at least 700 years before pope Francis, of which this prophecy seems to describe him perfectly.
gravenimage says
OK, John–I’m not going to argue this; always a contentious subject. Just thought I would let you know that there is some question about whether this is firmly attributable to St. Francis or not.
Dapto says
About time this poop fills up 3000 empty beds he has behind those walls, until he does that the church is full of it.
