“Gustakh-e-nabi ki ek hi saza, sar tan se juda sar tan se juda” means “The only punishment for one who insults the prophet, the head separated from the body, the head separated from the body.”

This is not an example of “extremism.” Islam mandates death for blasphemy. Death is prescribed for those who mention “something impermissible about Allah, the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), or Islam” (‘Umdat al-Salik, o11.10), and such laws are based upon passages in the Hadith and Sira in which Muhammad orders the murders of people who have insulted him.
These include Abu Afak, who was over one hundred years old, and the poetess Asma bint Marwan. Abu Afak was killed in his sleep, in response to Muhammad’s question, “Who will avenge me on this scoundrel?” Similarly, Muhammad on another occasion cried out, “Will no one rid me of this daughter of Marwan?” One of his followers, Umayr ibn Adi, went to her house that night, where he found her sleeping next to her children. The youngest, a nursing babe, was in her arms. But that didn’t stop Umayr from murdering her and the baby as well. Muhammad commended him: “You have done a great service to Allah and His Messenger, Umayr!” (Ibn Ishaq, 674-676)
Then there was Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf. Muhammad asked: “Who is willing to kill Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?” One of the Muslims, Muhammad bin Maslama answered, “O Allah’s Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?” When Muhammad said that he would, Muhammad bin Maslama said, “Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab).” Muhammad responded: “You may say it.” Muhammad bin Maslama duly lied to Ka’b, luring him into his trap, and murdered him. (Sahih Bukhari, volume 5, book 59, number 369)

This will probably sound like a stupid question, but what was a Sri Lankan Sinhala (presumably) Buddhist doing in Pakistan? I know that employment opportunities in Sri Lanka may not be all that great, but Pakistan?!? That too in a company that made cricket equipment in Pakistan? Why, he couldn’t have done the same in Sri Lanka?
Anyway, RIP, Mr Priyantha Kumara
Derek says
He was heading a company that makes sports goods and equipment for the Pakistan cricketers.
This is just a prologue of shape of things to come if we do not take a strong stand and action. It’s a murderous, genocidal cult and not a religion.
Infidel says
Right, but my question was why did he have to take such a job, especially if it meant him living in Pakistan? He could have joined any company that makes equipment for other cricket teams
I do agree w/ you that islam is a geopolitical cult and not a religion, and that it needs to be de-recognized as such for First Amendment purposes
Fitna says
For the same reason westerners vacation in Morocco and other Muslim nations. They believe the lie that Muslims are peaceful and only a tiny minority are extremists. Then they end up raped/murdered or held for ransom.
Sometimes they’re poor and desperate and find work in places like Dubai, but then they’re treated as modern-day slaves, are not paid, their passports are taken away, they put 20 men in a room and once the job is done they end up homeless.
Bottom line, if you’re a non-Muslim avoid going to Muslim countries-anything can happen to you in those places. We should also deplete their population in our countries or they will do to us what they did to this poor fellow.
tim gallagher says
Infidel, some poor people do go to Muslim countries to try to earn decent money. I’m sure I have read occasional stories about Filipinas who have gone to Saudi Arabia to work as maids and have been raped and treated appallingly. On wealthier and well qualified people who go to Muslim countries, it is also mainly money. I have a friend here in Australia and he knew a woman who was a landscape designer and she was thinking of taking a job for a year or so in Saudi Arabia. So I said, why is she thinking of taking that job? He said that she was going to earn really big money, I think it was around $150,000 and it was tax free. I think that, in the end, she decided not to go there. But tax free money like that would set a person up for a long time. I guess the big money gets those cricketers, such as Geoff Lawson, to go and take jobs in Pakistan. I wouldn’t go near any of those disgusting Muslim countries for all money in the world. Pakistan sounds like an atrocious, evil country full of absolutely primitive, knuckle draggers, that’s for sure..
Infidel says
Tim
I understand why people go to actually rich countries like the Gulf sheikhdoms, where they do get paid way more than they could ever dream of earning back home. However, Pakistan is no Kuwait or even Yemen, let alone a Qatar or a Bahrein, so it makes far less sense for someone to have moved there. Especially when the job in question is selling cricket equipment, which he could have done in a bunch of other countries – India, Australia and even his own Sri Lanka
Infidel says
Also, Tim, Geoff Lawson hasn’t been the manager for a bit, but Matthew Hayden now has that role. Not just that, he recently was interested in some of the islamic practices of the Pakistani team and got a quran from their wicket keeper. Hoo boy! Is life that dull for Hayden after retirement from the IPL? If he is really interested, he should get RS’ ‘The Critical Quran’, so that he can read the full context and everything
tim gallagher says
Infidel, I suppose, apart from the money, some people are curious about visiting Muslim countries and seeing some totally different and exotic way of life. As someone who hates Islam, I don’t share their interest in it. Pakistan is obviously a terrible country, but, when it comes to cricket, I guess they do pay these cricketers who go there to coach them big money. I can’t really understand why anyone goes to a country like Pakistan. Maybe Hayden is a pretty dumb person. I suppose that interest that you say he has shown in Islam is similar to many western people. I con’t comprehend why they have the friendly or curious attitude towards islam, but I am ferocious Islamophobe, so I do have a very different outlook on islam. If my memory is correct, Hayden did have a really bad accident a few years back and could have become a paraplegic, so I could make a stupid joke and say that maybe he damaged his brain in that accident. I can’t remember what happened (could have even been a surfing accident) but I recall Hayden was pretty smashed up around the face. I recall seeing Hayden with a very messed up face after the accident. I’m sure my memory is correct and his face was looking terrible which is why I remember it. Anyway, after what happened to Bob Woolmer, you would think people would stay away from involvement in Pakistani cricket. I agree that Hayden should read Robert Spencer’s books to find out the truth about Islam.
Infidel says
Tim
Thanks for explaining what happened to Hayden: I had missed that. Still, he was a star player in the IPL, and after retirement, was in the commentary and presentation teams, so I doubt that money would ever have been something he’d be short on. I do get that people at that level like challenges, and resurrecting the Pak cricket team, which had only been playing overseas and had therefore seen a major dip in its level, would have been a major one. However, like you said, he should have seen what happened to Woolmer and stayed away. There are other teams that might be interesting to coach, such as Nepal or Sri Lanka, or one of the associate sides
tim gallagher says
I agree with what you say, Infidel. These former players should go to Sri Lanka or Nepal but not to Muslim countries. On that accident, I’m pretty sure I remember it correctly, the main thing I thought was that Hayden is such a giant of a man, more like a Rugby player than many cricketers are, a very powerfully built man, that he may well have ended up crippled if he was not such a very strongly built man. Anyway, I suppose a lot of people just don’t see Islam as being as vile an ideology as I, and you, do. They are unaware. All I know is that I wouldn’t go near any of these Muslim countries.
peter says
People believe all the trash the media publishes like Islam is a religion of peace . Lot of people in this world lack common sense including US and Western World . They believe the left wing and main stream media crap and politicians who say anything and do anything to win an election . If that poor guy has asked himself the question “why are they looking outside Pakistan for a manager of a factory ” he would have understood the probability of the unworthiness of the job. As they say hind sight is 20/20
tim gallagher says
I agree, peter, that there are many people who do buy all the bullshit we are fed about how Islam is OK and basically peaceful, etc. You are right. When it comes to islam, a lot of people do display a complete lack of common sense. I know a few people like that. They do remain fooled by the media garbage about how islam is basically OK. Lots of very slow learners around, that’s for sure.

Guess what’s going to happen:
Obadiah 1 : 15 – “As you have done, it shall be done to you; Your reprisal shall return upon your own head.”
Habakkuk 2 : 8a – “Because you have plundered many nations, All the remnant of the people shall plunder you,”
James 2 : 13a – “For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy.”
Matthew 7 : 2 – “For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.”
Jeremiah 50 : 29b – “… Repay her according to her work; According to all she has done, do to her;”
2 Chronicles 6 : 23b – “… bringing retribution on the wicked by bringing his way on his own head…”
Judges 1 : 7b – … “as I have done, so God has repaid me.”
Joel 3 : 4 – “Indeed, what have you to do with Me, O Tyre and Sidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? Will you retaliate against Me? But if you retaliate against Me, Swiftly and speedily I will return your retaliation upon your own head;”
Ezekiel 35 : 6 – “therefore, as I live,” says the Lord God, “I will prepare you for blood, and blood shall pursue you; since you have not hated blood, therefore blood shall pursue you.”
.
.
On the other hand, it is tragic:
H e l l expands to make room for the multitude entering it:
Isaiah 5 : 14a (AMP) – “Therefore S h e o l (the realm of the d e a d) has increased its appetite and opened its mouth beyond measure;”
