During the Ground Zero Mosque controversy, when I pointed out that it was common Islamic practice to build mosques on the sites of the houses of worship of conquered peoples, this was dismissed as “Islamophobia,” despite the obvious evidence of the Temple Mount, innumerable Hindu temple sites, and more. Here is more confirmation of what I was claiming.
“Possible church vestiges under the foundations of the al-Nuri Mosque,” AsiaNews, January 19, 2022:
Mosul (AsiaNews) – Important vestiges have emerged recently during reconstruction work at the al-Nouri mosque, which, along with Our Lady of the Hour Church[*], is one of Mosul’s iconic sites.
A few days ago, during excavation, workers uncovered the foundations of a prayer hall dating back to the 12th century under the mosque.
According to some sources, the foundations could belong to an ancient Christian church, built centuries before the mosque. The latter became famous worldwide because it was here that the leader of the Islamic State (IS), Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, proclaimed the caliphate on 29 June 2014.
The mosque was largely destroyed in 2017, during the offensive by the Iraqi army – supported by the United States – against the Islamic State, which marked IS’s military defeat and the liberation of Iraq’s northern metropolis.
“The foundations of the old prayer hall are more extensive than those of the prayer hall built in the 1940s,” said Khaireddine Nasser, director of the Department of Antiquities and Heritage in Nineveh province….
The excavation is being carried out with support from UNESCO and funding from the United Arab Emirates, and it is set to end in 2023.
The discovery has sparked the interest of historians as well as the local Christian community because the foundations might belong to ancient church, built long before the mosque.
This possibility rests on the discovery of a few columns that suggest a Christian place of worship and some coins dating back to the period when the city was governed by atabegs under Seljuk sovereignty….

the foundations of islam built on the ruins of the monuments that the civilisation which they stole the land from, once stood… this discovery depicts islam itself… this is the future of europe in not many years from now… and they tell us its either this or civil war allover and not only for some….

Deliberately building on something deliberately desecrated
Satanic
Hank says
Today, Islam does not need to build or desecrate anything, as non-Muslim host nations are being “deliberately” handed over to Islamization anyway. Think Islamophilic: Merkel, Biden, Trudeau, Ardent, Sweden, Canada, Leftist-Green-Marxists, EU, et al.
Judeo-Christian culture, values and traditions are “deliberately” marginalized, demoted and desecrated. Nope, Islam and its followers don’t need to do anything deliberate. They leave Islamization to the infidels.

HUH, so Islam does this as well!
The Roman Catholic Church in their conquest of the civilised world built a lot of their churches, monasteries and cathedrals on the sacred sites of the indigenous populations of the countries they invaded.
An example of this is St Josephs Catholic at Kangaroo point in Brisbane, Australia.
This is built directly over the site of a Bora ring (sacred site).
Infidel says
This is similar to what happened at Ayodhya, in India after the demolition of the Babri mosque. The Supreme Court there ordered an archeological investigation, and they found enough remnants of a temple, which is what enabled the court to judge in favor of the Hindus. Recently, Hindus have been demanding the restoration of 2 more mosques in Varanasi and Mathura, both cases in which there is enough archeological evidence of those being stolen
Too bad that in this church in Mosul can’t be reclaimed by the Chaldeans or whoever else owned it. And these days, when I watch YouTube videos, the most frequent ads that pops up are a couple calling for contributions to a big mosque to be built on a church property in Tampa, or another one in New York. Pretty nauseating
Hindu American says
Roughly, about 46,000 temples were destroyed during the Islamic rule, especially in the North India, per Dr. Sita Ram Goel’s book “Hindu Temples : what happened to them” Vol one and two
Infidel says
Yeah, I hope that a movement builds up to reclaim and rebuild as many of them as possible – free from government intervention. India needs to have a Hindu support system that rivals the ones that muslims, Christians and Sikhs now have in that country: financially independent temples that support schools and other basic institutions throughout the country

Iraq: Reconstruction work at al-Nouri mosque reveals foundations of ancient church under the mosque
………….
This should surprise no one who knows anything about Islam.
raja says
No surprises here. Besides utterly destroying the infidels and their places of worship, they also ensure that their conquest is apparent to the ummah/ and world. This keeps the ummah and the devil in good humor. the Islamic machinery has been rolling on for 1400 years and yet the world is blind to see this.

Where they can, Muslims destroy *all* signs of non-Muslim history.
raja says
Thanks for the reply Gravenimage,
Utterly destroying the infidel and his belongings is mainstream islam, with the exception of women/ young girls, temple gold and other valuables. This makes islam a super-cult with tinges of god and a super-state of fascists.

Sadly true, Raja.
