New in PJ Media:
It’s one of the most awkward twenty seconds ever captured on video in a disastrous administration that lurches from one awkward moment to another: when asked “Do you think you may have underestimated Putin?,” Old Joe Biden first continued to stare in the general direction of the question, a slight smirk on his face, expression absolutely unchanged from what it had been before the question was asked. A few seconds later he turned his head to face the camera and, after a few more seconds, grinned sardonically. A few seconds later, he began picking his teeth with his thumbnail, and then grins a bit vacantly before the video mercifully runs out. Amid all the wrong choices, erroneous policies, abject failures, and stupid missteps of this disastrous administration, it was a trivial moment, but it was a telling one.
Biden has more than once made it clear that he isn’t the person in charge. On Dec. 21, 2021, he told a press conference: “I’m not supposed to be having this press conference right now.” Why not? Who was telling him not to? No one in the sycophantic Leftist establishment media seemed to think it newsworthy to ask the president of the United States who was telling him what he was supposed to be and not supposed to be doing, and so we can only guess.
Nor was that the first time that Biden had hinted that he was just a puppet in the Oval Office. In June 2021 at the G7 Summit, Biden said: “I’m sorry, I’m going to get in trouble with staff if I don’t do this the right way.” At a press conference in Nov. 2021, the Oval Office puppet gave the impression that he was not supposed to take too many questions: “I can take…I’m going to get in real trouble … this is the last question I’m taking.” On Sept. 8, 2021, Biden announced to a puzzled world, “I‘m supposed to stop and walk out of the room.” On Aug. 30, 2021, he told a reporter, “I’m not supposed to take any questions, but go ahead,” but when the question turned out to involve his catastrophic mishandling of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, he said: “I’m not gonna answer Afghanistan now,” and walked away.
Biden’s press conferences are scripted; on June 19, 2021, he said: “I’ll take your questions, and as usual, folks, they gave me a list of the people I’m going to call on.” Through all this, however, the establishment media steadfastly refuses to ask Biden who is running things and telling him what to do.

It’s a disaster for the US and for world peace.

Even while the invasion goes on, we (let alone Germany) are still importing tons of oil from Russia, which is currently at $95/barrel, and looking at $110-120/barrel. And these morons think that sanctions, including taking Russia off SWIFT, is gonna change things
Anybody who wants to identify responsibility for the carnage in Ukraine need look no farther than the Climate Change Communists in the Democrat Party: all the executive orders that Biden signed on Day 1, let alone the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle, gave Putin the green light to try and reverse the loss of 2014 when Yanukovich was ousted, and at least make Ukraine another Belarus, if not completely annex it back to Russia. Although I think Russia wants to re-annex both Belarus and Ukraine, but may leave the likes of the Caucasus and the -stans alone. I would have preferred that Russia instead repossessed the -stans, and rolled back the resurgence of islam that we’re starting to see in places like Kyrgyzstan
Hank says
Strange that the “historian” Putin would say that Ukraine is a not a country and is entirely created by Russia. With that argument then Russia is not a country, has imaginary borders, a fiction, because it is entirely created from the collapse of the Mongolian Empire. Mongolia must be delighted as Putin will now be happy to give back Moscow and most of Russia back to Mongolia. Mongolia would like to have its former lands back. Maybe China could get a few cities.
Infidel says
Well, if one traces Ukraine back to the Grand Duchy of Kiev, then that’s a part of Russian history as well. Depends on what point one picks to define the legitimacy of any country’s existence. Ukraine didn’t exist before WWI: it was first created out of the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk that the Soviets signed w/ the Germans in order to get off the war. Whenever Ukraine wasn’t a part of Russia, it was a part of the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth or the Crimean Tatar khanate
Moscow was a duchy during the time of Genghiz Khan. What you said about the Mongol empire is true only about Siberia and parts of European Russia east of the Volga. As for China, they already occupy way more than what was historically China, be it Tibet, Xinjiang, Manchuria and Inner Mongolia
Hank says
Thanks for the detailed reply.
“Depends on what point one picks to define the legitimacy of any country’s existence.” True. Unfortunately, redrawing borders and not accepting that an empire is dead leads to many wars and much suffering.
I understand that Crimea was given to Ukraine by the Russians themselves (Khruschev). Then Putin loses his mind, claims it again and starts aggressive behavior out of nowhere.
Let’s hope that it does not escalate and that the Russian Generals keep an eye on Putin and his Oligarch buddies.

One thing I should clarify: I do support Ukraine’s right to be an independent state. That’s however something independent of history. I do think that Russia is gonna face a debacle similar to what they experienced in both Afghanistan (as the Soviets) and Chechnya. Already there have been demonstrations in Moscow not in support of, but rather opposed to this invasion
gravenimage says
I don’t think this is out of nowhere, Hank. Unfortunately, Russia believes they have the right to seize any nation that was once under its heel. This explains Russian aggression towards, Georgia, Ukraine, and Poland.

While the question was being asked, a woman’s voice interrupted saying the thing…not really a press conference…was over.
biden didn’t even have to attempt an answer, but moving his lips made him realize something was between his teeth…and with no “coo” or polite waiting until out of sight, he picked it out and threw it down.
It’s all a farce. The entire putin thing is a distraction because biden and crew are not going to do anything productive….they don’t want to and they don’t know how.
Jesus Christ prophesied about these things when He said, “There will be signs in sun and moon and stars; and on earth, anguish of nations, while men will be faint out of fear… not knowing the way out.”
biden has no clue…even if he was not in the stages of brain cell death he is in, he would not know “the way out” of this mess. And his “handlers” are in denial or in cahoots…
Christopher Watson says
Putin has made the first move. He won’t stop with Ukraine. Poland and Hungary should be very nervous. Putin is trying to re-build the Russian Empire. The western states have been falling over themselves to get Russian oil and Biden has been pushing them to do so. OK Sleepy Joe. Now what?
Infidel says
Hungary has been pretty supportive of Russia: it’s only a paper ally of the West. I know that people here are fans of Orban, but Hungary has been supportive of the major enemies of the West – Turkey, China and now Russia. It makes no sense for Russia to target Hungary when they have much more opposition from Poland and the Baltic nations
john smith says
Christopher, I don’t think Putin is that stupid to invade Poland or Hungry as they are both NATO countries, if he is then it’s going to be world war 111. Who knows for certain what this man has in mind, but one thing I’m certain of is that he didn’t want another country that is about to join NATO sitting on his doorstep, who’s border is only 300 miles from Moscow.
gravenimage says
I think Putin will go as far as he thinks he can get away with.
john smith says
None of us know what’s going on in his head, but I just can’t see him invading a NATO country, unless he’s on a death wish that would be suicidal.
Having said that I wouldn’t put it past him to invade another none-NATO country.
gravenimage says
Well, I did say he’ll go as far as he can get away with. Evn he may balk at invading a NATO nation–probaboy depends what the reaction is as he goes.

This is Joe Biden’s war. His handlers needed cover up for covid madness, inflation, open borders and to take our attention away from what is happening in a Canadian takeover. The Biden Crime Family and their graft in Ukraine and China will be forgotten and moved on beyond our attention as war casualties mount up. What’s a few bodies and blood on the hands of our distinguished leader.
gravenimage says
I despise Biden, but are you saying that he somehow forced Putin to invade his neighbor? How would that work?
Walter Sieruk says
Let’s hope that Joe Biden doesn’t keep on interfering with this awful foreign overseas conflict because Biden only harms anything he become involved with.
If US “President” pretender Joe Biden gets involved in this current terrible Russia /Ukraine problem,
Biden’s interference in this situation will only increase the chaos and mayhem in those lands.
So much so that Biden’s meddling will lead to much human bloodshed and death.
This is so because everything he “touches” is made worse, wrecked or is completely ruined.
Joe Biden is a curse to America as well as upon all the other nations of the world.
gravenimage says
I am *no* fan of Biden, but the US ignoring this Russian aggression will only embolden Putin–and all of the other watching agressors in the world.
Walter Sieruk says
To gravenimage, you do have a very good point . Nevertheless ,with Joe Biden has a history in his first year in Office to always making everything worse.
From creating porous US/Mexican borders and giving Afghanistan away to the Taliban and at the same time abandoning all those Americans in that land and allowing possible secret Afghan jihadists and criminals into the United States, is being a partial list.
Everything Biden comes in contact with or gets involved in he only further harms or destroys. In other words , Biden finds a way to wreak or further wreaks things, if there is a way for him to do so he will.
Biden could even be defined as an literal epitome and and personification of an actual talking walking , sitting sleeping curse.
f
There is a a very old saying Far -East which applies to Biden and the things he does.
The saying is “Nothing is so bad that action will not make things worse.”
gravenimage says
I *certainly* take your point, Walter. But at this point if the US were suddenly to cancel even sanctions, it would be taken as utter capitulation to Putin’s aggressions–and would embolden him and the other aggressors in the world, including Islamic ones.
Walter Sieruk says
About Russia and Ukraine, this current situation is obviously very serious.
Nevertheless, Joe Biden using his de facto Presidential powers over in those foreign nations then he will make this current Ukraine, Russia conflict even worse.
The reason why this is so clearly seen by all the many disasters he has already caused in both the national level, in America, as with crime which terribly increased, added by porous borders and likewise on the international level, as in the Afghanistan disaster and his supporting upholding both the Taliban
and that “mullah regime” of Iran are three example just how harmful and damaging Biden actually is.
The list of his harm can go further, but this should be enough to prove that if Biden ‘s meddling in this Ukraine/Russia problem he will make things in those lands far worse than they would be if he had not interfered in the first place.
Pseudo President Biden occupying the Oval Office of the White House, as stated above, is nothing but a national and international catastrophe.
Walter Sieruk says
If Joe Biden takes further takes action on this terrible situation, he will only make things more awful just as he further harms, damages and wreaks everything else he touches.
Biden is a disaster magnifier and a calamity maker. In this specific case the former of the two applies to him.
