The adhan, prayed in Arabic, repeats “Allahu akbar” six times, “I testify that there is no god but Allah” three times, and “I testify that Muhammad is Allah’s prophet” twice.
Dr. Gavin Ashenden, former chaplain to the British queen, who resigned his position in protest against a Qur’an reading in a Scottish church, observed that “the Muslim call to prayer is a dramatic piece of Islamic triumphalism. It proclaims Islam’s superiority over all other religions, and in so doing casts Jesus in the role of a charlatan and a liar. The Muslim god, Allah, is unknowable and has no son. Jesus was, therefore, a fraud in claiming He and the Father are one.”
Is Minneapolis really wise to broadcast repeatedly a declaration of the superiority of Islam, a faith that directs its adherents to make war against Christians and other non-Muslims and subjugate them as inferiors under the hegemony of believers (cf. Qur’an 9:29)?
Is Minneapolis wise to broadcast the cry “Allahu akbar,” beloved of jihad terrorists the world over? Chief 9/11 hijacker Mohammed Atta wrote this in his letter to himself before carrying out his jihad mission: “When the confrontation begins, strike like champions who do not want to go back to this world. Shout, ‘Allahu Akbar,’ because this strikes fear in the hearts of the non-believers.” This is why the Fort Hood jihad killer, Nidal Malik Hasan, shouted it as he shot thirteen Americans in November 2009, and why so many other jihadis have used it essentially as an announcement that non-Muslims are about to die.
“Minneapolis allows Muslim call to prayer to play from mosque speakers,” Yeni Şafak, March 28, 2022:
The Muslim call to prayer can now be heard several times a day in one of the biggest cities in the US Midwest.
The call to prayer, also known as the adhan or azan, can be played by local mosques in the city of Minneapolis, the largest in the state of Minnesota.
The city council approved a bill, presented by council member Jamal Osman, allowing the prayer to be played publicly by loudspeaker between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m., so long as local noise ordinances are respected.
Calling the measure a step in the right direction for religious equality, Osman said, “We have a lot of work still to do to make sure everyone is enjoying the same rights, every religion is enjoying.”
Under the measure, mosques will be able to make the call the prayer by loudspeaker three times a day, except for morning and night prayers, provided that the volume is below a certain decibel limit.
“The Adhan is one of the most important parts of our faith,” Osman wrote on Twitter, adding that the call can be made at the same hours allowed for Christian church bells.
He called the move “a signal of the equality and community we have built here. This is America and we are allowed to share our faith from the rooftops, just like everyone else.”…

church bells are not announcing that all are going to be bowing down to anyone, nor do they say, “We have taken over and you will be paying us, preying with us, or dying by our own dirty hands.”
they keep getting further and further…and i. elmi has to be gloating at this accomplishment. I can just imagine her evil snake grin. Not just the nose inside the tent, but the whole stinking, biting, kicking, spitting, camel. and camels are killers.
Just ask the petting zoo people in Obion, TN.

Church bells are musical chimes that announce the beginning of prayers, but make no other statement.
The Islamic call, on the other hand, is a supremacist declaration of war punctuated by the Islamic warcry of ‘Allah is GREATER’ (than other gods). The statement of ‘Allah is GREATER’ is the pretext for Islam’s supremacist JIHAD DOCTRINE of warfare against disbelieving KUFAAR.
The Islamic call to prayer is offensive to all non-Muslims, since it is a declaration of war against them.

So true, Mortimer.

I have lived many years in Minneapolis and St Paul MN, and I do not approve of this. We are not a Muslim nation, and the doctrines found in the Muslim scriptures largely contradict our values. They are not American values, and they should not be broadcast in public. If Muslims choose to live in America, they should adopt American practices and not cling to the ones of Islamic societies.
PRCS says
“If Muslims choose to live in America, they should adopt American practices and not cling to the ones of Islamic societies.”
For many, it wasn’t a choice as they were born here.
Failure to prosecute those who practicie aspects of their culture and/or religious beliefs that violate not our culture–but U.S. law–has been and remains an ever-worsening problem.
Two examples:
Whether practiced by Mormons or Muslims, polygamy is both illegal and immoral.
Ditto for cutting a live animal’s throat–whether by Jews or Muslims–to comply with ancient “religious” beliefs.

You need to do the same as the Muslims do and get yourself into politics. You need to get yourself into the city council to counter the Muslims. Notice the following:
“The city council approved a bill, presented by council member Jamal Osman, allowing the prayer to be played publicly by loudspeaker”
Muslims invade democratic non-Islamic nations and try to get into politics whichever way. Then they have more or less only one agenda which is to spread Islam by stealth, deception, pretense and trickery on the non-Islamic society and people.
Notice the pretense and trickery on non-Islamic society that is being parroted
“He called the move “a signal of the equality and community we have built here. This is America and we are allowed to share our faith from the rooftops, just like everyone else.” …”
Exploiting and hiding behind democratic non-Islamic society values to further Islamic doctrine which actively opposes it. America was founded by the Founding Fathers on Biblical values. Unfortunately, Muslims have found a way to undermine it by getting themselves into city councils and play the system in a systematic way. The career of Ilhan Omar is another example of this. Islam is an usurper and supplanter.

mortimer says
KJJ raises a pertinent question and I think the answer is that the loudspeakers will cause the surrounding neighborhood to be EMPTIED of non-Muslims who object to the whining noise. The result will be the eventual creation of a Muslim no-go zone.
To respond to the absolute ‘need’ for amplification, we should remember that Muslims never thought they needed amplification for the human voice until 1936 … not even 100 years ago..
1936 FIRST LOUDSPEAKER IN A MOSQUE
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loudspeakers_in_mosques
Loudspeakers were invented in the early 20th century, and they were introduced in mosques in the 1930s, where they are used by a muezzin for the adhan (“call to prayer”), and sometimes for khutbah (sermons).
Outdoor loudspeakers, usually mounted on tall minarets, are used five times a day for the call to prayer, sometimes starting as early as 4 a.m. Some mosques have loudspeakers that are powerful enough to be heard as far as 5 km (3 mi) away. In areas where more than one mosque is present, the loudspeaker sounds overlap one another, especially in the early morning when sounds are more clearly heard. Loudspeakers are sometimes also used inside mosques to deliver sermons or for prayer.
The first known installation of a microphone–loudspeaker set occurred in 1936 in the Masjid Sultan in Singapore; it was reported that the summons to prayer could ‘carry more than a mile’. Though some mosque attendees were sceptical of this new electric system, most believed it was necessary to empower the muezzin’s voice to transcend a modern city’s noises. Electrically amplified adhans have become commonplace in countries such as Turkey and Morocco, whereas in others such as the Netherlands only 7 to 8% of all mosques employ loudspeakers for the call to prayer.
Reziac says
“The result will be the eventual creation of a Muslim no-go zone.”
That’s the real goal, of course.

Infidel says
They keep electing Ilhan Omar, so obviously they’ll do nothing about it. Incidentally, why only 3 times a day, instead of 5 – why exactly did the mohammedans not demand all 5 times, including at 4am or whatever other nightly hour they do this?
Fitna says
The old camel’s nose in the tent parable or slowly boiling a frog…they’re going to take over stepwise….if they do it all at once, the infidels will suddenly wake up and protest.
But do a little at time and they get used to it. Before you know it, Islam has taken over. They’re patient, cunning and very determined. Never be fooled by stupid polls that foolishly claim Muslims are becoming more ‘liberal’ or integrated.
It’s very easy to shape polls to project the image you want. This is how they’ll take over cities, then states and eventually western countries.
History has shown the only way Islam has been stopped is to be as aggressive and ruthless as the Muslims are and to drive them out.
Talking, negotiating, etc, it’s just shuffling chairs on the deck while the boat sinks. We have nothing to discuss with Muslims except when they’re going to leave and how. We need non-Muslims to unite and demand an end to Islamification and Muslim immigration.
We need Islam to be declared a seditious, enemy ideology that needs to be banned and removed.

Are the citizens of Minneapolis happy with this?
As of 2017:
5% of the Twin Cities’ population was Muslim (182,000). Half were former Somalis or of Somali descent
It wasn’t just Muslims who elected Ilhan Omar to the U.S. Congress
Muslims comprise approximately 1% of Minnesota’s population.
It wasn’t just Muslims who elected Keith Ellison as its Attorney General.
Bear in mind, not every Muslim in Minnesota can legally vote–many because they’re not citizens.
Happy? Don’t know. But certainly idiotic IMO.
Kepha says
Minnesota is one of the most socialist and liberal states in the nation. They probably think they’re being nice to minorities.

Most of the congregation will not even live near a mosque and most will have a smart phone with an app on it to remind them to pray if they so choose.

*Deeply* disturbing. I knew some major city would allow this at some point–and Somali-infested Minneapolis seemed a good bet.
As others have pointed out, the Adhan is all about violent Muslim supremacism.

Yes, PRCS–and this made no sense at all, since large gatherings were discouraged or even criminalized during the lockdown. Many religious buildings–Churches, Synagogues–were closed.

Allowing this is like a turkey praying for Thanksgiving.
Islam is on the ascendancy with the help of Saudi Salafist global oil wealth.
As Christianity receeds Islam sees its opportunity to fill the space but for the atheists it is a warning to take on another war of words and maybe soon of action as these fanatical jihadis exert their crazyness.
Melc says
Islam again practising its insidious actions to take over wherever it goes.
Some guy was playing Muslim prayers loudly from his mobile phone on the bus the other day. I told him to stop it in a public space. I said if he wanted to pray then do it quietly or privately. He stopped and the passengers thanked me.
These religious evangelists are a pain in the arse.
Check Burry says

Sheila says
I can’t wait for the atheists to sue to silence this noise the way they have sued to silence church bells in the past.
somehistory says
the ones who sued to silence the church bells won’t sue to stop this. For at least two or three reasons.
one is fear of what mozlums will do if they sue,
and they don’t want the label that goes with opposing anything islam.
, and the third: because they hate Christians and Christianity so much, they welcome anyone who also opposes. Just as hitler used the mozlums to help him against the Jews, atheists who are the kind that make *demands* will also use mozlums to silence Christians if they see a way.
Major Tom says
The Muslim call to prayer is not about diversity…..it’s about domination!
mortimer says
MT is correct: domination through a call to an indoctrination session in the mosque.
Indoctrination in the mosque mentally and emotionally prepares the Muslim soldiers to conduct jihad war against the dirty kufaar.
The call summonses Muslims to be on the ‘WINNING TEAM’ of Mohammed which DEFEATS all ‘others’.
Hayya ala l-falah = ‘come to success’. The word falah (success), as noted by Mark Durie, is a key word in Islam, and it sets Muslims apart from all other people, who are classified as losers (Q. 16:109).
There are multiple instances in the Qur’an where Muslims are described as the “successful ones” and this summons is a call to be a serious Muslim, with the hope of success that reaches all the way to eternity.
Muslims win the goods of the kufaar and dominate them through jihad. The ADHAN is actually a call to supremacism.
