There is so much misinformation and disinformation circulating about this conflict that it is impossible to know whether or not this is true or accurate. It’s noteworthy in any case that the jihadis are known to be ruthless and brutal enough to have been chosen for this mission. If, that is, there was such a mission at all.

Yes, why just last night I heard the US President say the Russian conflict was devastating to the Iranians.
It seems that both sides of the conflict are good actors and generators of propaganda. Zelensky appears to be the most experienced and believable actor, trailing clouds of glory.
Tonight I saw young people waving American flags on freeway overpasses and I thought Biden SOTU – naahh, Zelensky has reached them much as JFK reached a former generation. They know nothing about his secret personal life, as we didn’t about JFK’s secrets( Hoover did and blackmailed), yet they will follow.
JFK had something to trade in the Cuban Missile Crisis, the real cause – US missiles in Turkey – so a quid pro quo was arranged with a blackout on the real deal, giving JFK hero status for “backing down” the Soviets.
There is no such reciprocal deal available unless the the US and NATO stop knocking on Ukraine’s door. Zelensky has maneuvered the EU into accepting Ukraine as a member, guaranteeing that the EU will demand its hired gun, NATO, actually the US, confront Russia. Originally, the conflict was Putin vs Zelensky, one of them not politically surviving. Now it may become Biden vs Putin.
There is so much rumor and intentional propaganda posing as fact that it seems impossible to know what’s happening in Ukraine. Most so-called “LIVE” video is not, though its showing the current Ukraine time. And the stuff coming out of Asia and India would be hilarious if this was not a real war.
Wouldn’t this be twice that Ukraine has killed those pesky Checkens, once in tanks and now on the ground?

Regarding the Cuban missile crisis, I have always wondered who came out “ahead”. This is how I gamed it out:
Prior to the Cuban missile crisis:
The United States:
1. Still had the option to invade Cuba – and take out Castro.
2. Still had Jupiter medium-range ballistic missiles in Turkey.
The Soviet Union:
1. With Castro, had a Soviet satellite nation 90 miles from the United States.
2. Still had the option to covertly install offensive missiles in Cuba.
After the Cuban missile crisis.
The United States:
1. Lost the option to invade Cuba – and take out Castro – right after the crisis or in the future.
2. Made a deal to tacitly remove their Jupiter missiles from Turkey.
The Soviet Union:
1. Castro stayed in power, and First Secretary Khrushchev maintained a Soviet satellite nation 90 miles from the United States.
2. Lost the option to covertly install offensive missiles in Cuba.
Pres. Kennedy, after the disaster of the Bay of Pigs, was pressured by some influential military leaders / politicians, etc., to be very forceful with Cuba. This included plans for massive bombing followed by an invasion.
To his credit, Pres. Kennedy went with a Naval blockade “quarantine” followed by very delicate and masterful negotiations. And Khrushchev also negotiated – against heavy pressure at home.
In summary, nuclear war did not happen – which was by far the most important outcome,
But, on balance, perhaps the Soviets came out ahead…

What is Zelensky’s “secret personal life”? And even if he is a womanizer as JFK was (or whatever you are claiming here), this doesn’t excuse Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, just as JFK’s personal life didn’t somehow make Fidel Castro and the Soviet Union morally right.

Zelensky is not a credible target because he is not running things in the Ukraine and never has, but is a bought and paid for figurehead of the Ukrainian Oligarchs, who allowed Fascists to proliferate like cockroaches in the Ukraine since 2014. I don’t have much use for either Chechens or Muslims in general, but I cannot think of a better group of people like them to take out the Bandera trash. They are going after them in places like Mariopol, not after the Actor/cross dresser/President Zelensky.

Note that Strannik has previously lauded Putin appeasing Jihadists in Chechyna, claiming it is right because it means he is “trolling” the West by doing so. Indeed, Putin himself has said that he is allying with Islam against freeoms of the “decadent” West. He has also applauded the imposition of Shari’ah there.
Strannik has also whined about Putin not hurting the “sensibilities” of Muslims in Russia–as though we should care if Muslims are bothered by not being able to impose Shari’ah on all of Russia. He has said that appeasing Muslims is “rational” and “in Russia’s interests”:

Now they are 4,000.
b. And all indicates they are still part of the Ukrainian National Guard. It has become a group that OPENLY uses NAZI symbols.
c. An AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL report says the Azov regiment was guilty of atrocities in the Donbass in 2014-215, killing hostages, cutting off the heads of pro-Russia prisoners.
d. And ZELENSKY? Why has he not,in 3 YEARS as president, dissolved the Azov regiment? Either he does Not Care,in spite of being Jewish.
Or he can’t. If he can’t,then he is a PUPPET. He was used by others as a facade,a Jewish man as president, to counter any criticism saying,” Your government maintains a pro-nazi paramilitary group”.

The best that could happen (a clean slate) would be for Russia and Ukraine delegations to agree to hold a national referendum once again with international observers. Whoever wins, wins and is President of an independent Ukraine as it used to be, Crimea and eastern part returned to Ukraine. Forbid the use of divisive words such as pro-this and pro-that except for the word pro-business and trade with Russia and the EU. What wonderful wealth and prosperity they could create for both sides.
Unfortunately, Putin won’t accept that as he has a history of not respecting and honoring the Constitution of Russia or even the Russian Parliament. Tampering with the foundation (Russian Constitution) of a country is dangerous business. He tampers with it to suit his needs – like extending his term, et al.
If what you write about the Azov Regiment is true, then the new government, after elections, would need to look into it.

Putin is not going to return the Crimea to Ukraine, even if Ukraine is successful in repelling the Russian invasion.
And Hank, if Russia had really always just been concerned about trade there never would have been a Soviet Union. Communism is not pro free trade.
