The bottle- and stone-throwing is of a piece with the screams of “Allahu akbar,” because that phrase means “Allah is greater,” i.e., greater than your gods, and the Muslims then demonstrate their disdain for the Hindus and their gods by throwing bottles and stones at them. It’s as if to say, Allah is greater, you and your gods are worthless, and here is a visible sign of our contempt.

…A procession with the murti of Sri Anjaneya (another name of Sri Hanuman) was being taken out on Sunday in Nellore, AP. The procession was going from TTD Kalyana Mandapam to the Stonehouse Pet area and had around 15,000 participants. It was going on peacefully along a major road as per the police-approved road map, and happened to pass by a mosque located close to the Nellore district court.
What transpired next is testament to the ugly reality of what goes on in our country under the guise of secularism. Muslim extremists had gathered in large numbers in the mosque knowing that the Hindu procession would be passing by. They threw empty beer bottles towards the murti of Sri Anjaneya, pelted stones at the devotees and allegedly even abused Hindu deities. They could be seen making aggressive and ugly gestures towards the Hindus along with loud sloganeering of ‘Allah-o-Akbar’ (Allah is the Greatest).
Video footage shows Muslim men showing the middle finger to Hindu devotees, and some tried to charge on to the road with weapons in hand. However, police was present and held them back at the gates of the mosque.
Addressing the media on Monday, MLC Vakati Narayana Reddy said the land where the masjid stood belonged to the public works department and was encroached upon a few years back. He said that the High Court had given an eviction order four years back but the officials had failed to implement the directions yet.
Reddy claimed that the mob had kept stones and sticks ready to attack the Hindus while the procession was crossing the masjid. He appreciated the police for efficiently handling the situation. He added a contempt petition would be filed since the place had allegedly become a hub for antisocial elements. Elsewhere, BJP leader M Ramesh took serious objection to the incident and handed over a representation to the district collector on Monday asking to maintain communal harmony in the city….

Not only would it never happen, but it would never ever be tolerated and the faux temple would be razed to the ground after everyone was arrested for ‘islamophobia’

Actually, in India, there are a lot of makeshift Hindu shrines that pop up anywhere every now and then, and when they do, they are pretty promptly demolished. As they should be: nothing should be done claiming property that ain’t theirs. Until recently, however, there was a lot of reluctance to do anything about illegal muslim shrines – dargahs as they call them
One correction to your scenario: if you’re talking about Pakistan, your hypothetical Hindu stone-pelters wouldn’t be accused of islamophobia: they’d be accused of blasphemy plus rioting. India needs to grow the cajones to give Western polypragnomists like Rashad Hussein for one the ? and crack down even harder on muslims any time they were criticized for ‘islamophobia’

Going by what’s going on in that country, India desperately needs another Hindutva party that confronts the BJP on its appeasement of muslims. They can punt on the 2 states that are the exception – UP and Assam – but run in elections against the BJP in other states, like for instance this year, Gujarat and HP
Right now, the BJP is to India what the GOP is out here: they get to take the votes of conservatives for granted, knowing that there is nowhere else to go, and try to expand their popularity by appeasing either muslims (who are never gonna vote for them) or secular Hindus. It’s only after they know that for every x votes they win, there are (x+y) votes they’ll lose to an active competitor (not NOTA – none of the above) that they’ll stop!
