New in PJ Media:
Leftists didn’t get their way in the Dobbs v. Jackson ruling, and as usual when this happens, they’re losing their ever-loving minds and frothing with irrational rage. Lost amid all their hysteria is the fact that numerous states will keep abortion legal in the wake of the overturning of Roe v. Wade. This is just not good enough, for, like the totalitarians they are at heart, Leftists have to have it all; the prospect of even one baby’s life being saved sends the Left into carpet-chewing fury. And so it was no great surprise Friday when Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Towering Rage) called for open defiance of the Supreme Court’s decision.
“They ain’t seen nothin’ yet,” Waters raged. “Women are going to control their bodies, no matter how they try to stop us. The hell with the Supreme Court. We will defy them. Women will be in control of their bodies, and if they think black women are intimidated or afraid, they got another thought comin’. Black women will be out in droves. We will be out by the thousands. We will be out by the millions. We are going to make sure that we fight for the right to control our own bodies.” Apparently, as far as Waters is concerned, that fight involves illegal defiance of the Dobbs v. Jackson decision. What’s the word for that sort of thing? Oh, yeah: insurrection.
Maxine Waters knows all about insurrections. On June 24, 2021, she applauded the formation of the select committee on the Jan. 6 non-insurrection insurrection, and the Stalinist show trial that the establishment of this committee heralded. Waters declared that the committee would “expose the truth about the January 6 insurrection, including what happened that day, who funded it, and who worked behind the scenes to orchestrate the events leading up to it.” This was necessary, she explained, because “these domestic terrorists” not only stormed the Capitol but even dared to “use the American flag as a weapon against law enforcement.”
Waters, ever the America-loving flag-waver, stated that “the events of January 6 are more than any real patriot can bear.” Consequently, she said, “all people who stand on the side of justice and democracy” should support the formation of the Jan. 6 committee.
So at least as of a year ago, Waters was a staunch patriot, a lover of “democracy,” and a hater of “insurrection.” To go from there to “the hell with the Supreme Court” only took one decision that she disliked. Gee, could it be possible that Maxine Waters was never really all that fond of actual “democracy” — or, at very least, of the system of a constitutional republic — in the first place?
There is more. Read the rest here.

A very erudite gentleman on this (UK) side of the pond has been doing quite a lot of research into variations of intellectual capacity evident in comparisons between various differing human groups in terms of age, gender and ethnicity. Whilst the findings he has discussed have proved to be extremely unpopular with those of a certain ‘progressive’ mindset, the apparent failure of the lady (sic) featured here to recognise the self-evident facts that:-
(a) the question of abortion actually concerns TWO bodies, that of the mother and that of the child;
(b) the child’s body is not in fact the property the mother;
(c) the consequences of the abortion procedure are invariably somewhat more serious for the child than for the mother; and
(d) the level of pigmentation of the mother’s skin is completely and uttelty immaterial to the gravity of the procedure under discussion;
all rather tend to confirm this gentleman’s well-informed conclusions, which I had better not repeat here for fear of being permanently banned from all media platforms.

Spot on, Jayell. And good to see you posting again.

And yet…. the left would never allow anyone to consider this a call to insurrection but rather a righteous call to freedom. As if. And they will still go on, and call Pres. Trump’s call to march peacefully on the Capitol as a call to insurrection. And that too will remain lost in this Leftist Kabuki.

Does this women realize in NYC there are more black babies aborted surgically then black babies born in NYC? NYC has some of the highest black abortion rates per cap. in the country ? This ruling does not change this at all because New York state according to the law now on books makes the rules on abortion. The same goes for all blue run states , ,The democrats are calling on rioting like they did for the summer of 2020 so blue cities where abortion is very legal and will stay legal in the future under the new law. can be burn down large areas again ?
PMK says
New York legalized abortion before Roe v Wade even came before the court. For at least a year there were stories of women coming to NY from all over the country for elective abortions. New Jersey also passed a stronger abortion law last year,, signed by Gov. Murphy. It’s ironic seeing people protest in NYC, seeing how this area has some of the most liberal abortion laws in the country. None of those laws were affected by the Dobbs decision.
gravenimage says
Pretty much, wpm.
wpm says
Yes it is still all Trumps fault ,he appointed two members to the supreme and the ruling was 6 to 3.You have the president and most democrats calling for rioting because now the states not the federal government can make the rules governing abortion. Most democrats want abortion up and past the 7 month. Even in all western Europe it is illegal after the 13 week .
Infidel says
“The Hell with the Supreme Court”? For the Left, the courts have been their main legislatures, since their legislators don’t get elected to Congress or various state houses in sufficient numbers to be able to pass legislation from where it is supposed to be passed. That’s why they depend on governors and presidents to appoint activist judges who’d make up laws as they go along. If Maxine had her way, there would be no legislation passed by the Left outside of big cities like Chicago, San Francisco, Portland, New York and other such places
BexarKat says
What is often lost in this narrative is not directly a matter of aborting fetuses, but rather how the 10th Amendment covets the rights of each state to make determinations that are not otherwise found in the Constitution of the United States. Roe v Wade was a mistake of law and as Justice Sonia Sotomayor noted recently, the U.S. Supreme Court’s “mistakes” in high-profile cases can be corrected over time. This one appears to have been corrected.
David M says
But don’t ever forget, no matter how many people are killed & how many buildings burn, according to the leftists & their MSM allies it is “mainly a peaceful protest.”
gravenimage says
Yep. That’s what they say…

How bitterly ironic it is that abortion impacts black America more than any other group. In 2019 38.4% of all abortions in America were performed on black women even though black females capable of becoming pregnant make up only around 3-4% of the overall population. As some blacks have noted (e.g., Kayne West), abortion in America has functioned as a kind of genocide upon the black race.
As for Maxine Waters, she is a completely irresponsible and unethical human being. Oh yeah, I think I would classify her as an insurrectionist as well.
Ray Jarman says
Wellington,
You make a great point and if Maxine Waters were white, Margaret Sanger would have been so proud of her. I wonder if she would be happy to listen to a white racist like Sanger spew her vile views on the subject?
I remember back in the 1960s and the 1970s pro-life advocates would ask the question, “Aren’t you glad that your mother did not abort you?” The Warren court that invoked Roe was the same court that ruled against Georgia and stating that trees don’t vote.
Wellington says
Thank you, Ray. One small correction. It wasn’t the Warren court but the Burger court that decided the Roe case in 1973 (unless you mean something else by “invoked”). It was a 7-2 decision and the two dissenters were Byron White, a former NFL player with the Steelers, and William Rehnquist, future Chief Justice.
Roe, just from a legal standpoint, was a very sloppy decision. Even ardent pro-choice advocates like Ruth Bader Ginsburg (she called it “shaky”) and Lawrence Tribe, Professor of Law at Harvard (he called it a “smokescreen) knew the legal reasoning in Roe v. Wade, invoking the 14th Amendment Due Process clause, was a stretch and a half.

Wrong on so many counts. She’s way too old to have an issue with an unwanted pregnancy…a.k.a. baby child, little human, tiny person. she’s 83. So, since she can no longer entertain even the idea of having a baby and it amount to more than fantasy, she really should just be quiet. As in, fathers are not allowed to voice an opinion unless it agrees with baby-killers.
then too, Black babies have been on the slaughtering block ever since that genocidal freak, what’s-her-face, said they should eliminate “Negroes”. that was the beginning of planned baby-killing org, which is falsely called “planned parenthood.” m. sanger wanted to get rid of Black people and she went after the babies.
also, the Black caucus in Congress…20 black women of that group…wants bobiden to make an executive order, emergency type, to keep the baby-killers in business.
they are all willing to break all of the laws to get their way. and why not? they have targeted for murder in the most horrible and painful ways, little lives, of unborn babies; so how can breaking any of man’s laws be worse?
How evil all of this is.
CogitoErgoSum says
I think the problem with a lot of women is that they are not able to control their bodies. They have no self-control whatsoever. In most cases you can know just by looking at them that they have no control over their bodies. And some, like Maxine Waters, also have no control over their mouths and they bring their own version of Hell with them wherever they go.
Wellington says
I agree with you, CES, but I would say that about a lot of men too.
somehistory says
yep, a lot of men have no self-control, Wellington.
You know, there is a lot of self-respect in self-control; without the one, it’s difficult to have the other.
somehistory says
I have noticed that many in the mobs yelling and screaming about their *rights* to kill the unborn, are massively overweight and dressed very sloppily. I’ve often thought that they shouldn’t worry too much about getting pregnant. It is also true that many lesbians are in those mobs and if they stay ‘true’ to their chosen ‘lifestyle,’ they don’t have a worry either. Unless they hookup with a pretend woman, such as the guy in health and human services or thomas.
Wellington says
Interesting observations, somehistory.
You know, there is a another major irony lurking out there and that is that the very people most against the Dobbs decision of yesterday, if a pregnant female, are the most likely of all pregnant females to have an abortion and thus, arguably, by doing so will have the very likely result in producing a fewer number of Leftists out there in the long run, contra pro-life women.
Of course, just seen from an ethical and logical point of view (religious convictions can only add to this), every fetus is innocent, even those conceived out of rape and incest (which are very few in number as I know you know). A foul or stupid deed does not make any fetus less worthy.
somehistory says
Thank you, Wellington.
Yes, the percentages show most are done out of a desire to continue the way they are living…they don’t give a ‘reason’…rather than it being due to rape.
and, I have to agree…the baby is innocent and should not be the one being punished…in the cruelest of ways…for the wrongs of others.
When women seek and can’t find unless it’s through an “exception,” they’ll lie and say it is for that reason.
I’m just sick of the whole thing. Babies are precious and so much fun. those who don’t appreciate the value a baby adds to life, don’t deserve to have one. But, they should put up for adoption rather than murder the little girl or boy.

Not just women, CES.

Sometimes dems decry insurrection (worst thing in the world for their mobocracy) and then the next thing you know dems are crying for insurrection. How can we know when insurrection is good or bad? I don’t know, I guess it depends on what day it is.
tgusa says
Dicks sporting goods, yes, Dicks (you cant make this stuff up) announced it will provide abortion related travel expenses for employees affected by the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v Wade.
Infidel says
Some 20+ companies have done that. As Tucker Carlson pointed out, companies stand to lose a lot if employees take maternity/paternity leave, have kids, add more names to the insurance policy that the company has to pay for. That’s why it’s a lot cheaper for them to pay for travel plus abortions than various leaves plus insurance. Already being Leftist in this aspect is better for their numbers, and on top of that, they get to flex their ‘ESG’ muscle and show off
somehistory says
“Well, of course, employees without families are much cheaper for the company,” Carlson said.”
I hope to not do any business with those companies. One is yelp. Can’t recall more, right now, but they will be making sure everyone knows how very eager they are to pay for flights, room and hit-man charges for all of their employees who seek to kill a baby.
tgusa says
How much cheaper would it be if they got rid of Carlson? Seems like Dicks has a lot of dead weight up there in corporate.
somehistory says
they would sure lose a lot more viewers if they get rid of him.
tgusa says
Oh I thought you were referring to some corporate drone at Dicks. My bad.
tgusa says
ESG is supposed to maximize profits on behalf of the corporation’s shareholders. Not sure how giving away free travel expenses to get an abortion maximizes profits for shareholders. Plus, eliminating future investors doesn’t seem like a good long term strategy but what do I know I’m not a corporate kook.
Infidel says
No, ESG is supposed to divert the focus of a company away from profits and towards other things. In other words, stakeholders are the people who would dictate a company’s direction, not shareholders. It would be one thing if stakeholders were limited to the company’s shareholders, employees and customers: the 3 entities on which the company makes its money, but it’s been expanded to mean all of society
I finished reading Vivek Ramaswamy’s book “Woke, Inc.” a few months ago and he pointed out the pitfalls of such an approach. Namely, when a company CEO or Board President is responsible to everyone, they end up being responsible to no one. This is b’cos they get to decide which of the 100 priorities of the community they get to pay attention to. Traditionally, the Right has always been in their pocket, so they need to win over the Left, and so that is their priority. Which is one more reason why the MAGA part of the Right needs to trounce the Chamber-of-Commerce backed establishment Right – be it the AEI’s, the Heritage Foundations et al
While some portions of the Left, such as the AOC crowd, can’t be won over (remember her hue & cry about Amazon having its headquarters in her district?), they can win over many mainstream Liberals into dropping their hatred for big corporations and getting them to support them on their economic policies while supporting them back on their social policies, be it abortion, LGBTQIA+ grooming, hatred of the West and so on. That is what ESG has ended up enabling, and I doubt that there are many board members who would object, since the bulk of the stock in most companies are held by woke funds, such as Blackrock
tgusa says
What is the carbon footprint of ending a preventable unwanted pregnancy? Don’t these ESG warriors care about the environment?
Infidel says
Oh, the abortion is far cheaper for the environment, since that aborted human doesn’t over an average of 80 years consume Gaya’s precious resources, be it water, air (releasing CO2, if not methane), food et al
The irony is that these ESG warriors love open borders, since illegals in their communities means more customers buying the products that they sell, which for some reason, they can’t in their original home countries. In other words, ESG companies love more people being in their communities that they don’t have to pay for, but who’ll buy their stuff. Somehow, I miss how making $2 an hour cleaning homes will enable Juanita to afford that Clinique foundation that the company is selling, and I’m pretty sure nobody at the company even dares to think about that

And the small creature to the North has weighed in:
“Trudeau: US abortion ruling could mean loss of other rights”
so American women can still go there; but he’s not someone who really respects a person’s “rights.”

Maxine Waters Calls for Insurrection: ‘The Hell with the Supreme Court’
………………………………
So much for opposition to insurrection–actual insurrection, in this case. Not surprised by this hypocrisy, of course.
Andrew Blackadder says
So a member of Congress SCREAMING ”To Hell with the Supreme Court” is not insurrection?.
Am I missing something here?.
Does this sad ass old bitch in a $5 wig not know who founded the Abortion Clinics or wonder why her own Mother didnt abort her.
As George Carlin once said… All those women in favor of abortion are he same women most men dont want to shag.
Wee Dykes screaming their wee heads off and one big black guy with an eye patch… Whats he doing in there?.
Alfredo says
Maxine Waters represents the worst of the Democrats. A classic race hustler calling for an insurrection.
These people are the real insurrectionists, because they’re the ones calling for violence. But Merrick Garland would never dream of unleashing the FBI on her.
These are the race hucksters who buy expensive properties in posh areas that are out of reach with only the income they get as politicians.
