Biden repeatedly claims credit for the COVID-19 vaccines developed under Trump as part of Operation Warp Speed, so why not also take credit for defeating ISIS?
In an op-ed for the Washington Post titled, “Why I’m going to Saudi Arabia”, a collection of random talking points that seem to have been a collaboration between the confused VP and hack screenwriters, Biden falsely claims that, “The Middle East I’ll be visiting is more stable and secure than the one my administration inherited 18 months ago.”
This is based on absolutely nothing.
The only positive developments in the region have come from the Abraham Accords. Biden’s only contribution has been to encourage Iran’s nuclear program, thereby destabilizing the region further.
Probably the most bizarre part of the op-ed is this claim, “In Iraq, we ended the U.S. combat mission and transitioned our military presence to focus on training Iraqis, while sustaining the global coalition against the Islamic State we forged when I was vice president, now dedicated to preventing ISIS from resurging.”
The end of the combat mission, the rise of Iran and the Arab Spring, aggressively promoted by the administration in which Biden was vice-president led to the rise of ISIS.
The “global coalition” is nonsense.
The Iraqi coalition with the Sunnis, the one forged under Bush and to some degree addressed by Trump, proved more useful, it was also ignored by the Obama administration, which helped ISIS gain influence.
But, most decisively, Trump unleashed U.S. airpower against ISIS.
Widely acknowledged as one of the Obama-Biden failures, Biden is somehow trying to claim credit for the defeat of ISIS. He’d be more right when claiming credit for its rise.

The $32-million Beijing Bribed Man is taking credit for victories in which he personally played no part. He is like the MOST ODIOUS soldier impersonators who dress themselves as soldiers and wear various medals for valor and outstanding military conduct.
STOLEN VALOR is what this IMPOSTURE is called by the senile Old Fool in the Oval Office. He boasts of glory stolen from those who earned it.
This is his life-long pattern and the reason the Dems rejected his candidacy the first time he ran for president.
THE DEMS REALLY SCRAPED THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL TO GET THE PREVARICATING & CORRUPT BRIBED-MAN ELECTED in 2020 through massive election fraud, drop-box stuffing, and computer hacking of voting machines..
mortimer says
ISIS was in fact defeated by thoughtful and tactically brilliant American generals who knew the plays that would win the game. To his credit, President Trump is a man who can spot talent and he gave these brilliant military leaders authority to carry out their strategies. As a result of identifying and promoting WINNERS, American troops in Iraq and Syria led a winning campaign and caught up with the CALIPH OF ALL ISLAM who ended his own life (much like Hitler) to avoid the SHAME of defeat.
Senile, rambling Joe had NOTHING to do with this victory.
Rod says
I’m a bit puzzled to read about the orange bumpkin’s record in identifying and promoting winners. As an outsider watching from afar, it appeared that he fired almost all the people he appointed, either for incompetence or for competence, and that a remarkable number of them seem to have had difficulties with the law – though some have wriggled free after being “pardoned” by – guess who! – (a very curious custom to find in a so-called democracy).
And many of them seem now likely to face criminal charges, including the performing buffoon himself.
Biden’s arrival has done wonders in reviving the international reputation of his country, though the antics of the political arm of the Supreme Court are sadly now having the opposite effect.
Andrew Blackadder says
Rod, baby, you are mercifully free from the ravages of intelligence and obviously a big fan of Soros, Nasty P, the Clinton Cartel and Obama as old Joe has made America a laughing stock around the world and only morons like you can think otherwise, you are being played by people that think of you as cannon fodder.
Wellington says
Seconded.
Rod says
Andrew, you’ve addressed exactly, well, exactly none of my comments. Now, that wasn’t hard was it? This is jihadwatch, after all. Just look at Wellington’s contribution below.

It is obvious that President Trump put an end to the Islamic State as a territorial entity–ISIS is still active, but they have *not* been able to reconstitute the “Caliphate”.
For most people, this is a good thing. The Islamic State launched a genocide against the Yezidis, killed Shi’ites, used Yezidi and Christian girls as sex slaves, ran a totalitarian Shari’ah state, forced children to cut the throats of those who were seen as opponents of ISIS, and crucified underaged kids for snacking during Ramadan. They also kept bins of beheaded victims’ heads.
In other words, they were the perfect Islamic state.
So *of course* “Rod” hates the man most responsible for ending this horror. This should not surprise.
john smith says
Hi Rod
Rod says
mortimer, we’re learning more about your hero every day.
What a man is our Donald the Dauntless – not only can he “spot talent”, he can spot suckers.
Trump raised $250 million from small donors, supposedly for his legal fight to stay in power. These donors were misled. Investigators have proof that Trump has already funnelled some of this money into his own pocket. “Not only was there the big lie, there was the big rip-off.”
gravenimage says
Let’s keep moving those goal posts. Note the “Rod” *still* won’t say why defeating the Islamic State was a bad thing. Even he realizes that he cannot spin this here.
Rod says
Why would anybody say that defeating Islamic State would be a bad thing? Did somebody say that? Perhaps a Pinocchio on steroids? Or somebody struggling with an unfamiliar language?
When will this defeat take place? In the next Trump era?
And I learn just today that that demi-god Donald is in yet more trouble for defrauding innocents long before he allegedly became the greatest President of all time. Where will it end? San Quentin perhaps?
gravenimage says
The Islamic State no longer exists as a territorial entity–“Rod” pretending that it does is absurd. And yes–President Trump and the hated Americans were the greatest force behind this dismantling.
ISIS still exists as a Jihad terror organization, but they no longer have a “Caliphate”.
As for President Trump, Leftists have been trying to get him imprisoned for six years now, and it hasn’t happened yet. Then, even if he was found guilty of fraud, it is unlikely he would be sent to San Quentin, which mostly houses violent felons.
I hate to tell him that San Quentin isn’t using “Old Sparky”, either, so he’ll have to curb his fantasies.
Eva says
When you’re as useless as old joe, the only thing you can steal is credit.

You have to admit, Eva, that it was clever to steal an election in such a way that nobody can prove that he did it.

somehistory says
And when something still exists and even grows, it is not “defeated.” It just moved some activities to other places. This is another big reason his claim is false. biden is a braggart and his claims to greatness fall flat.
Wellington says
Biden is such a monumental liar that he may actually believe his lies. Reminds me of the great 1961 film, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, where Martin Balsam asks George Peppard if Audrey Hepburn (Holly Golightly) is a phony or a real phony, the difference being that a phony knows they’re a liar while a real phony has convinced themselves that the lies they spew are actually truthful.
Same with Biden. Take your pick. I lean to Biden being a real phony but either way he’s a travesty.
tim gallagher says
Wellington, I think that I’ve heard about Biden taking credit for all sorts of things. His demented mind must be a very happy place where he is just about the greatest person who has ever lived and his accomplishments are enormous. Truly a legend in his own mind. In the real world, hopelessly out of his depth and completely clueless.
somehistory says
he says his son, the hunter creep, is the greatest he knows, tim. that puts him in second place in his demented thoughts. pretty great, to be only second.
tim gallagher says
Yeah, I heard Biden’s comment about his son, Hunter, mentioned by one of the commentators on Sky News in Australia. I think they said that Biden had said that hunter was the smartest guy he knew. I as amazed. Joe Biden does seem to get around with a wonderful opinion of himself and really does seem to believe that he has done all sorts of wonderful things. He probably thinks, in his own little universe inside this mind, that he is doing a great job as President. If I ever get dementia, I hope that, like Biden, I think that I’m going just great and achieving great things.
somehistory says
I hope you never get dementia, Tim, but you probably are achieving great things, even if you don’t think it now. Just staying alert and honest is an achievement in these days of truth-shredders running foot loose.
gravenimage says
+1
tim gallagher says
Thanks, somehistory and gravenimage. I think my bullshit detector is still working quite well. A while ago, on Sky News, they showed Biden at some meeting with some kind of cards which instructed him on pretty much everything, word by word, for him to say. It was so weird. I mean it was really as if his handlers knew that he could not manage anything on his own, so they had to give him complete instructions on what to say. He does seem to give the impression that he thinks he is going quite well although I guess he has to try to present a confident image.
somehistory says
you’re welcome, Tim. Yes, he reads what they want him to say, but he even reads his instructions. such as , You: Say “blah, blah, blah, it’s not my fault; it’s putin and the oil companies.” so he says that.
You; repeat the line. and he then says, “repeat the line.”
It would be funny if it wasn’t so serious.
tim gallagher says
Yeah, that’s right, somehistory. It would be funny if it wasn’t so alarming. I think that the video clip I saw did have Biden holding a bit of paper on which he was meant to read his riding instructions and it did say “You:” and then it seemed to tell him word for word what he was meant to say to Joe Blow next to him and so on. it seemed to show that they can’t trust him to say anything spontaneously, no doubt because he might stuff things up. It’s a very weird situation, that’s for sure.
Wellington says
Yeah, tim, Biden is a doofus who couldn’t even run a Dairy Queen. He’s a professional politician of half a century and has accomplished nothing good and yet in his own mind he’s a terrific human being. In reality, he’s a waste product, a sociopath, and he’s presently helping to destroy America. He has no virtues.
tim gallagher says
I’m sure that’s true, Wellington. It is amazing that someone as mediocre as he seems to be has risen so high. As someone far away from it all, the USA does seem to be being weakened considerably by Biden and his mob. It is a damned shame and it endangers the entire world of free and civilised countries, but I’m sure that there will be better times there once this Biden mob are thrown out. Give them enough time in office and they could go a long way towards destroying the USA.
somehistory says
biden, you are being called out by the citizens you swore to protect…that’s more important that going here and there and telling lies to make yourself appear bigger and more important.

Biden Takes Credit for Defeating ISIS

What claptrap. The Islamic State was defeated under President Trump, not Biden–and of course ISIS still exists to this day.

Yep:

https://nypost.com/2021/10/07/biden-says-he-started-the-vaccination-program-despite-trump-rollout/
As soon as he reached the White House, Biden in fact ditched Operation Warp Speed. He claimed he was going to rename it, but that was over a year and a half ago, and it hasn’t happened yet…
Rod says
Wouldn’t it be reasonable to add just a little balance to this discussion by recognising the contribution George W Bush and his puppet masters made to the destabilisation of the entire Middle East region (with the incalculable misery and countless deaths that resulted, and which continue to this day)?
This crime was committed in defiance of the UN and the vast majority of the world’s responsible governments by the insane and vicious attack by the USA on Iraq in 2003, ostensibly to destroy terrifying weapons of mass destruction which simply didn’t exist, and which thinking people the world over knew didn’t exist.
The result, apart from widespread destruction, death and suffering, was the emergence of Al Qaeda, Islamic State, Daesh and Isis, the rise of terrorism the world over, and continuing warfare, with no end in sight.
And blissfully or wilfully ignorant of these crimes of the past, you’re ridiculing Biden for something he said? Could there be a better example of the huge chasm between jihadwatch, its uncritical devotees and the real world?
Andrew Blackadder says
Rod, personally i was 100% against the invasion of Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya, do you know who else was against those invasions…. Donald J.Trump… the man you love to hate so I guess you are against the man that said.. ” We cannot be the Policeman of the Wold anymore and we must get out of these endless wars”.. maybe Im an old fashion Boomer but Im still against wars and invasions and I back the President that agrees with me, whereas Im thinking you want even more wars..
The Bush Family gang, the Clinton Cartel, Biden and his deals are ALL in the same Camp.
Trump was never in that Camp, never in the Bilderberg Group, Carlyle Group, Bohemian Grove and Davos Gang and yet Trump is a Billionaire but not in any of those groups, so why is he such a bad guy to you… Try thinking for yourself and lay off the CNN viewing.
Rod says
Balance, Andrew.
Why is Trump a bad guy? Ask Pence, ask Liz Cheney, ask van Tatenhove, ask the millions around the world, like me, disgusted by the events of January 6.
Or ask the taxpayers who’ve been swindled by the Trump Empire’s dishonest business practices.
Ask other world leaders who had to reluctantly interact with him, and who are now repairing his damage.
Better still, wait for the verdicts of coming criminal hearings.
Trump being against the Iraq invasion merely indicates that he might be slightly more sensible than Bush and millions of other Americans. Isn’t everybody?
Rod says
PS Andrew, what is CNN?

………………………………………
Actually, many people around the world believed that Saddam Hussein has WMD. Firstly, Saddam Hussein *himself* bragged about having WMD–this was not ginned up by mean old Americans. He believed that this made him look strong to Iran.
Then, Saddam Hussein actually *used* WMD, most notably chemical weapons against Iranian and Kurdish Civilians in the Iran/Iraq War. And he did this not once, but in at least 16 different attacks.
He was also developing a nuclear program–this is why Israel bombed the Osirak Reactor.
After the First Gulf War, the United Nations located and destroyed large quantities of Iraqi chemical weapons and related equipment and materials; Iraq then claimed it had ceased its chemical, biological and nuclear programs.
The only question was whether Saddam Hussein had restarted these programs, and what sort of hidden stockpiles, if any, he may have retained. Given his frequent resistance to UN inspections and his own claims, this was hardly implausible.
It was not just the American President–UK PM Tony Blair also believed that Saddam Hussein had resumed production of WMD.
Note that “Rod” does not say how he magically knew that Saddam Hussein had indeed ended his production of WMD–this should not surprise.
Now, I have always been ambivalent at best on the US taking on Iraq–the US president had thought that taking down an oppressive dictator would be popular in Iraq, and I always had doubts about that, since much of the Muslim world embraces its dictators. As it turned out, even though most Iraqis–majority Shia and he a Sunni strongman–did indeed want him gone, this did *not* translate into Iraq becoming a civilized democracy.
I have mentioned this here many times, as “Rod” well knows.
Then, the idea that no one in the US knew who Donald Trump was is absurd. It is just a question of whether the American public considered him a potential (or later, actual) good leader. There are marked differences of opinion here. This is hardly a secret.
Ad of course “Rod” does not say what Trump supposedly is–he much prefers innuendo to citing anything concrete.
Many of us, including myself, considered him flawed but considered his efforts to protect America to be a good thing. Of course “Rod” doesn’t want to see this.

The claim that agreeing with Spencer that Jihad terror is a bad thing makes him our “idol” is grotesque–but of course “Rod” is upset that anyone dares take a stand against this bloody horror.
His entire purpose here is to try and discredit anyone who does not support these atrocities. He will throw anything at the proverbial wall hoping it will stick–including implying that criticism from sponsor of terrorism Qatar’s state organ Al Jazeera would be damning in an of itself.
I suppose I should be “grateful” that he didn’t accuse me of “racism” again for considering the defeat of ISIS a good thing–not explaining how concern over Middle Eastern Yezidis, Christians, and Shia is racist.
He has also claimed that concern for murdered and oppressed Nigerians and Egyptians is also racist. Bizarre and ugly stuff.

So the WMDs did exist all along. Saddam himself said so.
Words fail me. And you doubt that other people are better informed than you are.
gravenimage says
Saddam Hussein used WMD. Then he averred that he still had them. This is not so difficult for “rod” to understand.
Then, “Rod” still won’t say what nation magically knew that he Saddam Hussein was exaggerating or bluffing outright. It certainly wasn’t not just the US, but the UK and Australia as well, which also took part initially in the Second Gulf War.
john smith says
Just because they didn’t find any WMD doesn’t mean he didn’t have them. Many believe they were secretly transported across the border to Syria during the early days of the Iraq war. In all probability that’s what did happen to them.
somehistory says
John,
One news item along those lines was video of a convoy of large trucks leaving Iraq and going into Syria. I saw it and it could very well have been his wmd being moved so as to escape being confiscated and destroyed. there were days between when the attack on Iraq was announced and when the military actually arrived.
and beyond that, in previous years, he had used chemical weapons on people in Iraq…the Kurds…and aren’t those weapons considered “wmd”?
Rod says
Actually john, the WMDs, with vast amounts of yellow cake, are in a secret cave under a hill outside Baghdad. To open the cave you have to speak the magic words “Sim Salah Bim” three times, while looking at a portrait of Colin Powell.
The CIA have known this all along, and are waiting only for Trump’s re-election, when he and Rudolf will “discover” them, in the stunned glare of the world’s media, thus increasing even further his reputation as a man of miracles.
john smith says
Somehistory,
The WMD’s went to Syria I’m pretty sure of that, and now you’ve mentioned about a convoy of large trucks crossing the border into Syria, I also seem to recall that also.
Rod
You can be quite humorous for a muslim, because that’s what I believe you are. So surely you must Know that fun and humor are forbidden in islam. You see allah (who’s really satan) doesn’t want anyone to have fun. So come on Rod be more serious, no more joking, no laughing, no singing, no listening to music, no enjoyment whatsoever, this is what is necessary in order to be a good muslim. Oh Yes, it would also help if you became a suicide bomber, and blew up as many innocent children as you could. That would make you an extremely good muslim, allah would be really pleased with you for that.
P.S. If your not a muslim Rod, by supporting them your as bad as them.

Thank you, John–and this seems quite likely.
Rod says
UN weapons inspectors worked in Iraq from November 27, 2002 until March 18, 2003. During that time, inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the United Nations Monitoring, Verification, and Inspections Commission (UNMOVIC) conducted more than 900 inspections at more than 500 sites.
The Iraq Invasion began on March 19, 2003.
Weapons inspectors found no WMDs. They saw no WMDs being carried away, or evidence that any had been carried away.
So what Pinocchio saw “in the days before the military arrived” must have been just another Pinocchio moment.
Far from boasting about his WMDs (which he did long before the invasion), Saddam provided the US with 800 pages of documents in a vain attempt to convince those so desperately eager to attack that all WMDs had been destroyed. There is no evidence that US officials bothered to look at them.
Read “Disarming Iraq: The Search for Weapons of Mass Destruction.” by Hans Blix, who was in charge of the Weapons Inspection program.
To repeat, folks outside the USA are better informed than Americans can ever hope to be. How else can we account for things like Trump? Or indeed the Iraq fiasco?
Rod says
Forgive me john, but what you’re trying to say is –
“P.S. If you’re not a Muslim Rod, by supporting them you’re as bad as they are.”
PPS, In fact, I would be quite proud to be as good as some of the Muslims I’ve known personally, or as good as those I see in my own community today.

I agree Rod, many muslims are really nice people that wouldn’t hurt a fly, they can be kind and do anything to help anyone out, including us infidels. But Rod they aren’t good muslims, they are just good people. A good muslim will slit the throat of a non-muslim for no reason at all, because this is what islamic texts COMMAND them to do.
As much as you try disguise this fact its the truth, there are over 100 verses in the quran commanding muslims to fight us and kill us whenever they meet us.So Rod please stop defending this death cult, because I believe your better than that.

Sorry john, but the people I describe are good Muslims. How on earth would you know, since you don’t even know such people exist? You’re revealing yourself to be a hypocrite. Ignorance and arrogance combined. A truly repulsive combination.

john smith says
Rod in order to be a good muslim you have to be thoroughly evil, this is what islamic texts commands them to be. I’m not making this stuff up, read it for yourself it’s all there in their scriptures.
Isis are a fine example how muslims should behave, raping, murdering, and en-slaving, this is pure islam. All jihadi’s are good muslims, who blow themselves up and kill as many innocent people as they possibly can, they are merely obeying the orders of muhammad.
Rod please do some research into this, some of the most outspoken critics of islam are actually ex- muslims. There are many ex-muslims on youtube, but a good starting place would be Walid Shoebat and Apostate Prophet.
islam is from satan Rod, make no mistake about that.
Thank you for your reply.
gravenimage says
All grimly true, John–being a good Muslim means following the vicious diktats of Islam. I imagine “Rod” knows this–he just desperately hopes that we don’t.
gravenimage says
Actually, Jihad Watch has been critical about the invasion of Iraq (and Afghanistan), because it was not worth American blood and treasure to try and civilize these stretches of Dar-al-Islam–an impossible task. Ignoring the criticism of the Iraq war at Jihad Watch is ludicrous–but not surprising given the source.
Iraqis did have an opportunity to become a civilized democracy, but of course most Muslims rejected it.
And yes–as horrifying as Saddam Hussein was, things are now even worse there for religious minorities like Christians.
But the idea that the invasion of Iraq led to the emergence of Al Qaeda is just ludicrous. “Rod” *does* know that it was Al Qaeda that was responsible for 9/11? Of course he does–he just desperately hopes that *we* don’t.
Following this “logic” that it was the actions of the US post-9/11 that led to the rise of Jihad terror, 9/11 wasn’t terrorism at all.
Then, if Al Qaeda was as “Rod” claims created to oppose American presence in Iraq, why are they still wrecking havoc now that the US has been gone from Iraq for over a decade? It is a Jihad outfit bent on spreading Islam, not some kind of local ‘freedom fighters’. Try again.
And this is more of the same–the idea that it is Infidels who cause Jihad terror.

More intriguing is that nobody but Maxwell saw it or talked about it .
Even more intriguing – this vitally important bit of film was kept secret while the US and British armies were searching Iraq pointlessly for concealed WMDs which Maxwell knew were actually in Syria.
And twenty years later, you and john seem to be the only people who know that this film exists.
Jihadwatchers do seem to have very special talents, don’t they?
Rod says
