There is nothing at all surprising about Palestinian Authority officials celebrating Arab leaders reaffirming their support for the Palestinians and a bogus two-state solution, an idea that the Palestinians have repeatedly rejected. Nor is there anything surprising about Joe Biden being part of the Jeddah Summit, amid Palestinian celebration. Even Democrat congresswoman Rashida Tlaib reportedly backs a one-state solution, that is, the complete obliteration of Israel.
Given the documented goal of the Palestinians’ goal of obliterating the Jewish State “from the River to the Sea,” it should be obvious by now that the Palestinians do not in fact seek a two-state solution, and a Palestinian state would never live in peace with Israel. But none of this is obvious to the hapless Joe Biden. Nonetheless, Haaretz reported: “In Jerusalem, Biden signs the Palestinians’ death certificate:”
At Augusta Victoria Hospital in East Jerusalem, of all places, U.S. President Joe Biden signed a death certificate. The two-state solution died a long time ago, and now so has the Palestinians’ strategic choice of relying on the West in their struggle for their national rights.
Back in April, I wrote on Jihad Watch:
Much good immediately resulted from the UAE normalizing relations with Israel, including economic partnership and development, and cooperation against the mutual enemy of Iran. However, when it comes to Islam, the Muslim ummah tends to stand together. Last May, during Operation Guardian of the Walls, it was reforming Saudi Arabia that summoned the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to an emergency summit in support of the Palestinians. In the meeting, the OIC went to the United Nations to seek General Assembly support “to protect the Palestinian people.” There was no accountability however, expected from the Palestinians.
The Jeddah summit “has put the Palestinian cause back at the top of the Arab world’s list of priorities,” according to a Palestinian official.
Everywhere Biden goes to negotiate, expect America and Israel to be worse off.
“Jeddah summit proves Arabs haven’t dumped the Palestinians – Palestinian Authority official,” by Khaled Abu Toameh, Jerusalem Post, July 17, 2022:
The Palestinian Authority leadership has expressed satisfaction with Saturday’s Jeddah summit, which was attended by leaders of all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, as well as Egypt, Jordan and Iraq and US President Joe Biden.
PA officials said that they were especially delighted to see the Arab leaders reaffirm their support for the Palestinian people and the two-state solution, thus refuting speculation that the Arab countries have turned their backs on the Palestinians.
Reports that Saudi Arabia was not considering (at least at this stage) establishing diplomatic ties with Israel were also received with a sigh of relief in Ramallah.
Israel, Morocco sign MoU to further tighten their business relationship
A communique released after the summit, which was hosted by Saudi Arabia, said that the [Gulf] leaders stressed the need to reach a just solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on the basis of the two-state solution….Another Palestinian official praised Jordan’s King Abdullah, who called in his speech for including the PA in “regional partnerships.”
Abdullah went on to reaffirm the importance of reaching a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on the basis of the two-state solution, warning that there can be neither security, stability, nor prosperity in the region without a solution guaranteeing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 lines.
“The Arab leaders have again emphasized the significance of the Palestinian cause,” the official told the Post.
“The Jeddah summit has put the Palestinian cause back at the top of the Arab world’s list of priorities….

The Dems can believe in a two-state solution all they want, but the Pallies will NEVER believe in it. They believe in a ONE-STATE solution involving the unification of all Israeli territory into the Kingdom of Jordan and the removal of Jews from the region.
Any proposed solution that ignores the Pally intransigence is based on the fantasy of changing the minds of the Pally leaders. They have been consistent on what they what: an Islamic-supremacist state similar or identical to that of Jordan.

Jordan’s King Abdullah has dismissed the idea that Jordan considers the territory west of the Jordan as a future part of the Kingdom of Jordan, but his father certainly did and had postage stamps made showing the entire territory of Israel as part of his kingdom.

Uh, his father signed the 1993 peace treaty w/ Israel, becoming the second Arab leader after Anwar Sadat to do so. What you’re describing probably predated that event
