New in PJ Media:
In our enlightened age we have a marked decline in the number of Americans who consider themselves Christian, drag shows in primary schools, and the celebration of the LGBTQ and trans agenda at the highest levels of the U.S. government. But Leftists thrive on considering themselves edgy, courageous outsiders, despite the fact that they’re the entrenched establishment everywhere you turn: government, media, education, entertainment — even the mainstream churches are dominated by Leftist leaders. So just as they pretend that men can be women and women men, and that Joe Biden is a capable and accomplished president, Leftists also like to pretend that it’s still 1954, Eisenhower stalks the earth, and willfully blind Christian conservatives are making the whole world grey instead of allowing them to paint it in glorious rainbow colors. In line with this fantasy, Tennessee Tech University’s theatre team hosted a drag show Wednesday that fearlessly mocked that most favorite of all Leftist targets, Christianity. It was edgy, stunning, and brave … no, actually, it was another shallow and self-indulgent exercise in Leftist propaganda and conformism.
The UK’s Daily Mail reported that the theater team, Backdoor Playhouse, “hosted a Christianity-themed drag show with the star performing dressed as a Catholic monk before stripping down to a corset and stockings.” Freedom Forever’s Landon Starbuck tweeted a video of this pseudo-courageous performance, along with the comment: “Tennessee Tech University hosted a drag show that had little kids handing cash to the drag queen who was performing a dance clearly meant to mock Christians. Every parent who pays to send their kids to @tennesseetech deserves to know that this is what they’re allowing on campus.”
The Daily Mail added that as the drag queen begins the act, “within seconds kids are seen heading to the stage to hand over cash as the performer drops the money and does the sign of the cross…. As soon as his monk rob came off, the audience cheered and more younger children rushed to the front of the stage. Audience members continued to cheer through multiple songs of the drag queen dancing while taking off more clothing.”
There was one way in which this clumsy and embarrassing performance was legitimately edgy: it went on without the knowledge or consent of Tennessee Tech President Phil Oldham, who was appalled when he found out. Oldham stated, “I am disturbed and dismayed about the activities in a video circulating on social media from a recent event on Tennessee Tech’s campus. I do not feel the activities in the video represent Tech’s values, and I do not condone explicit activity where minors are present. I also am offended by disparaging mockery toward any religious group. To be clear, this was not a university sponsored event. No university funds were used. Two registered student groups facilitated the scheduling and promotion of the event. Although registered student organizations have the ability to reserve space on campus, the programming should not include obscene, lewd or explicit activities.”

America is founded on Judeo-Christian moral values. The problem with the LGBTQ+ group (and much of today’s society) is the expanding confusion in understanding the concept of Freedom and Liberty. Yes, you have Freedom and Liberty, but you don’t have Unrestrained Freedom and Liberty. Herein lies the confusion.

they use the Freedom that Christians who founded the country slaved and fought to ensure, to mock and demean the very reasons the men fought so hard for the freedom they knew comes from our Creator.
If Christians had not been courageous and determined to honor our Creator, these slimy creatures would still be living under a tyranny. which they are working to bring back to everyone.
And the involvement of little kids who have no idea what is happening, is demonic in the extreme.

Even apart from the mocking of Christianity it pains me to see people throwing money at a fake “entertainer” in repugnant physical shape doing such a poor job of dancing while lip-synching a song. There is no talent on display at all. A pig squealing at the joy of taking a mud bath would be more entertaining to watch.

Yes–this is not exactly someone practicing the art of burlesque. But in this case the fact that the “entertainer” is morbidly obese and can’t sing or dance is probably considered a ‘plus’.

It’s all so fake. Is this even proper drag? I thought a drag queen was a man who dressed as a woman. Monks are men. But I suppose the message is that monks like to wear women’s undergarments beneath their robes. It’s ugly stuff and, yeah, maybe the point is to be as ugly as possible.

they want non-Christians to feel a sense of disrespect for Christians, seeing us as unworthy of any normal human respect, and deserving ridicule; and they want Christians to feel ashamed…ashamed to say we are Christian, ashamed to quote the Bible or let anyone know what we believe. They want us on the defensive…they know already that many stay quiet when it comes to admitting they have faith as it has become a subject for mocking, unlike what once was the societal attitude in this country. they want those of us who have not been afraid to speak about Jesus and God to feel too much embarrassment to continue to do so.
That way, they silence us, and turn those who have no prior feelings against us.
CogitoErgoSum says
Well, it seems as if most of the preaching is coming from the Left these days so they want to silence anyone who might keep them from spreading their own message. Christianity has withstood the attempts to silence it by even the greatest of empires in the world. It will withstand the current attempts too but not without great suffering. That is for certain.

You are so right, CES. “No weapon formed against (Christianity) will succeed.”

Edgy! Tennessee Tech Hosts Campus Drag Show That Mocks Christianity
……………………………..
Yeah–because poking fun at monks–or nuns? Who knows?–is *so* edgy these days. No one dares make fun of Christians at college! Uh…right?
And there is no actual criticism of Christianity here–this is just fun poking of the most brainless kind.
Not just disgusting, but also so tired. If these idiots *really* wanted to be edgy they’d poke fun at Imams and Ayatollahs. But of course no one is going to put out a Fatwa on them for making fun of Christian clerics.

Waiting on their follow up where they mock Islam! somehow, don’t think it will happen. It should though. Plenty of material: Scientific/Historical inaccuracies, verses say one thing & then verses say the complete opposite. & that’s just the Quran! What about their “Great Leader & Founder”? The perfect human being! An ugly, psycho dwarf who was a mass murderer, rapist, slaver, paedophile, necrophile, robber, liar., hypocrite, plagiarist, arithmetically challenged (first to divided a deceased’s Estate, start with 27/24ths!). Loads & loads of material.
It would set Box Office records! Come on guys.

You are correct, it will not happen.
When it comes right down to it, Leftists are afraid of islam – and the violence that muslims are capable of, but they will never say so publicly…
