There is immense disenchantment with Islam in Iran. Mahsa Amini’s father succinctly encapsulates why.
“‘You killed her for two strands of hair’: Mahsa Amini’s father stops mullah from performing her last rites,” Firstpost, September 21, 2022:
Tehran: Amid ongoing protests in Iran, Mahsa Amini’s father has refused to allow Islamic prayers over his daughter’s body.
“Your Islam denounced her, now you’ve come to pray over her? Aren’t you ashamed of yourself? You killed her for two strands of hair! … Take your Islam and go,” said Mahsa Amini’s father in a viral video.
Who is Mahsa Amini?
Over the past few days, protests have erupted across Iran after a 22-year-old woman died while being held by the morality police for violating the country’s strictly enforced Islamic dress code. Anger has seen women remove their mandatory headscarves, or hijabs, from covering their hair after the death of Mahsa Amini, who was picked up by morality police over her allegedly loose headscarf.
Several videos have emerged online showing women twirling them overhead, chanting. Others have burned them or cut off locks of their own hair in rage.
Amini’s death has angered many Iranians, particularly the young, who have come to see it as part of the Islamic Republic’s heavy-handed policing of dissent and the morality police’s increasingly violent treatment of young women.
Protests turn violent
According to reports, the protesters clashed with police at some of the places. Not just that, thick clouds of tear gas were seen in the capital of Tehran. Meanwhile, motorcycle-riding volunteers known as “Basij” in Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard have chased and beaten demonstrators — as they have in other protests in recent years over water rights, the country’s cratering economy and other reasons that have been violently suppressed.
Yet some demonstrators still chant “death to the dictator”, targeting both Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s rule and Iran’s theocracy, despite the threat of arrest, imprisonment and even the possibility of a death sentence….

Good for him! More people should say that. “take your islam and go”….straight to h e double hockey sticks and don’t bother passing go.
Infidel says
Yeah, I laud him for recognizing that it was islam that was ultimately responsible for her death, and refusing to let her body be desecrated by anything islamic. If Zoroastrians are allowed their towers of silence body disposals, where a body is left to be consumed by the elements, he should pick that for her instead of a burial. Else just cremate her
somehistory says
It took courage for him to reject islam so strongly in a country run by its rabid fanatics who kill all who disagree…either locking them away forever, or hanging them. Or in this poor woman’s case…she was very pretty, probably rejected the *morality police*…beating her to death.

Infidel and Somehistory,
I agree with both of you. The father’s words are worthy to be praised as it should be catalyst for all freedom lovers across the globe, especially from islam. He has blamed “your islam” which is how the Iranians are perceiving islam (islam of mullah only). He is very courageous too as he has put his life on the sword of islam, not just the authorities.
Where is the West amid as this courageous and outstanding statement? They made Malala an example for opposing and risking her life against the terrorists. Doesn’t this bold man deserve something better for opposing the mullah and the state and the evil islam?

That heinously cruel and murderous Islamic tyranny of Iran is very brutal and vicious to the Iranian people. Especially regarding females. Both girls and women.
The murder of Mahso Amini is very sad and tragic and that horrendous evil of her being murdered is because of the oppressive vicious brutal cruel and deadly misogynistic Islamic regime of Iran.
That action of male Muslim who are officials murdering defenseless, helpless women in cold blood is a heinous and hideous has occurred before and if that murderous Islamic regime isn’t overthrown such wicked killing will continue.
Another example of such callous despicable heartless anti-female evil is when a teenage girl in Iran was talking to her boyfriend on the phone and then the Islamic state “police” walked over to her and shot her dead. They did that wicked and malicious thing to her because she was talking to her boyfriend, and they also didn’t like her clothing. [1]
That was a clear-cut case of murder and vicious Islamic madness by Iran’s Islamic state “police”, who call themselves the “Revolutionary Guards”, they got away with their hideous and malice –filled evil because the mullahs as well as other villains in power in that tyrannical Islamic regime.

The vicious murder of Mahso Amini ,of which the misogyny filled Islamic tyranny of Iran is completely responsible for and totally guilty of is a strong reflection of the tyrannical controlling deadly and anti-female religion of Islam.
As revealed by a scholar of Islam who revealed in her book “Control of behavior and disregard for human life are key elements in Islam ideology.” Furthermore, the author also exposed that `” Women is Islam are considered unclean, deemed inferior even to dirt.” [1]

Well said by the father. What he says is what every person should say to primitive old islam for all the damage it does to the human mind in so many people throughout the world. Take your islam and shove it up your arse is what all people should say about islam. i hope that there is no revenge against the father for speaking up.

Its just so wonderful to see the feminists in the entire Western World demonstrating outside the Embassies of Iran calling for justice for the women of Iran and their sense of choice and freedom… Oops… sorry… wait a minute… WHAT?…
Wear a Hijab Day coming to your USA University this weekend in the symbolic nature of empowering women… Yeah right… Pull the other leg…
Walter Sieruk says
The father of that poor young woman Mahsa Amini ,who was tortured and then brutally murdered by that cruel Islamic regime’s so called “morality police” is a man who ,sadly and tragically , had a very harsh reality check about the vicious oppressive and murderous misogyny of Islam.
No sane, decent and good person would condemn of criticize that Muslim father when he said “Take your and go” to the imams who had the gall want to come to her funeral and recite Islamic prayers .
With this, it’s also very appropriate to reiterate the truth expounded a scholar of Islam who revealed in her book “Control of behavior and disregard for human life are key elements in Islam ideology.” Furthermore, the author also exposed that `” Women is Islam are considered unclean, deemed inferior even to dirt.” [1]

Such a fragile theocracy to be so threatened by a young defenseless woman. Islam poses the greatest existential threat to Muslim women.

Prior to the jihad led by dissident Khomeini living in Paris, I am told that modern day Persia used to be known as the “Switzerland of the Middle East”. Persians need to get out from under the Arab thumb via Islam by doing just that “Take your Islam and go”.
Alas, Zoroastrians should have said the same in the 7th century to the Arab Muslim invaders – “Take your Islam and go”. It may not be to late yet for today’s non-Muslim host nations.
