Hardcore ISIS bride Shamima Begum may now exploit laws against sex trafficking in order to escape justice after the revelation of Canada’s shocking involvement in smuggling three teens (including Begum) into ISIS territory in Syria. See the story HERE. Yet there is no clear indication that the infamous Islamic State bride is not as dangerous as her male jihadist counterparts and poses no threat to Britain.
Begum lost her appeal to return home to Britain after the fall of the Islamic State. She reportedly “told her friends that she will never name other Brits who joined ISIS – despite claiming she wanted to help fight terrorism.” Before she left Britain, she wore an ISIS badge on her school blazer as she tried to recruit classmates for jihad. Yet after ISIS’s fall, she suddenly wanted Brits to believe that she was just “a dumb kid who made one mistake.” She was eventually stripped of her British citizenship.
British counterterrorism legal expert Jonathan Hall QC has now “warned that the UK’s anti-slavery laws could pose a threat to national security.” Thanks to Canada.
Begum and her lawyer will present her yet again as an innocent victim who was trafficked by Canadian spy Mohammed Al Rashed, who was working with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS). Although she was smuggled into Islamic State territory, she was a willing participant, as she was clearly already committed to the Islamic State’s ideology. She remained in dedicated service to the Islamic State during her time in Syria. Nevertheless, she and her lawyer will continue to exhaust every last option and play their last possible cards to get Begum off the hook and bring her back to Britain.
Hall advised that “the manner in which she ended up in Syria” should be taken into account, but more important was and is “the risk she posed to UK security,” rather “than the question of whether or not she had been a victim, which he called a ‘distraction.’”
“Extremists could exploit slavery laws to escape justice: UK terror expert,” Arab News, September 2, 2022:
LONDON: A British counterterrorism legal expert has warned that the UK’s anti-slavery laws could pose a threat to national security.
Jonathan Hall QC, the UK’s independent reviewer of terrorism legislation, said that what the law considered to be a victim of trafficking or slavery was now so broad that it could lead to terror suspects, especially those radicalized as minors, escaping justice, as they could argue they were victims.
He feared authorities in the UK could prioritize the idea of treating suspects as victims over the threat they posed to the UK, on the grounds that they made decisions because they were underage or were coerced.
Hall told The Times: “The definition and the way in which the law is applied is over-broad. It is at odds with the fact that children are not generally seen as victims when they commit other crimes, just because someone suggests they should do so.”
His comments come in the wake of claims made in a new book that former Daesh member Shamima Begum, who left the UK aged 15 for Syria in 2015, was smuggled into the country by a people trafficker who also worked for Canadian intelligence.
“The Secret History of the Five Eyes,” written by former Sunday Times reporter Richard Kerbaj, alleged that Ottawa asked London to help cover up the trafficker’s role in Begum, along with two other girls from London, joining the group….
A spokesman for Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, said: “Whilst the full facts are not clear, what is clear is that Shamima Begum was a child when she traveled to Syria, and she may well have been trafficked there.
“If these reports are true, then the Home Office should answer for why this was not taken into account when the revocation of Shamima’s citizenship was decided.”…
Begum’s case, Hall added, should take into account the manner in which she ended up in Syria, but needed to rely more on the risk she posed to UK security than the question of whether or not she had been a victim, which he called a “distraction.”…

This poor girl has been through so much, after all she was only a child when she joined isis and had no idea what she was getting involved with. She has changed so much over the years and has grown up to be a lovely young lady. She has thrown away her burqa, and now dresses in the most stylish and fashionable of western clothes, proving that she is a totally reformed person. The heartless British government should show some compassion and allow Shamima Begum to return home to the UK were she rightfully belongs, as she poses no threat whatsoever to the British people.
The real threat to Britain and the British people are those two islamaphobes, Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller. Now they are a danger to UK, a real danger to say the least, they should never be allowed here.
Thank God they’ve been banned.

UK: Shamima Begum may now exploit slavery laws to escape justice after being smuggled into Syria by Canadian spy
……………………………………..
*Good grief*. She *wanted* to join ISIS. She was not being enslaved–she wanted to go join those who enslave others. What a cynical b*tch. The foolish West may allow her to get away with this, though.

One thing I wonder: where does she get all the money to afford a lawyer for now what – 10 years? Most people in her sandals would happily accept the jail time they got, being grateful that they managed to get out of Raqqa

The lawyer is not paid by her. She cannot afford that, being a prisoner. The lawyer is possibly paid by muslims or, more likely in my opinion, he works “pro Deo”. I did put that in quatation marks because the demon god of islam is not my God 🙂
Shamima Begum is a pawn we should capture. Bring her back to the Uk. Give her a fair trial and lock her up when the judges find her guilty. That is what we do in a civilased land.
You can read my ideas on my website. Type: “redbee”, then a dot (.) and than “website”.
