What could possibly go wrong? Celebrate diversity! Sure, these women can be just as much convinced and committed jihadis as their husbands were, and they could raise their children to be jihadis, but come on, man! Don’t be “Islamophobic”!
“Islamic State women and children to be returned to Australia from Syrian camps,” by Daniella White and Matthew Knott, Sydney Morning Herald, October 2, 2022:
Australia is preparing to overturn its policy of more than three years and launch a mission to repatriate dozens of women and children, the family members of former Islamic State fighters who have been languishing for years in squalid detention camps in Syria.
News of the impending operation, which was confirmed by security sources in Australia, has given hope to dozens of families that they will be reunited with their loved ones, some of whom who have been stuck in limbo for more than three years.
About 20 Australian women and more than 40 of their children have been living at the al-Hawl and al-Roj camps in Syria’s north-east since the fall of the Islamic State “caliphate” in early 2019.
Kamalle Dabboussy, whose daughter Mariam and three children are in the al-Roj camp, said news of a rescue effort was consistent with recent discussions between advocates and authorities….
The return of some of the Australians may be controversial in Australia. It will likely pose a challenge to the country’s security organisations, according to sources speaking on condition of anonymity because they are not authorised to comment publicly….
Wellington says
Why?
somehistory says
Because.
When my oldest brother had a little girl, she liked to ask him “why” he was doing something; and one day, she asked him and he didn’t want to answer and just said, “Because” and she said, “But, Daddy, you gotta’ have a reason.”
these fools don’t need a reason.
Wellington says
Agreed. After all, reasons are not necessary to advance evil. This is precisely what is going on in the West today. Wasn’t even some 60 years or so ago but certainly happening now. This is what can be expected when a civilization goes stupid like and starts apologizing for itself even though, in this instance, the civilization in question is the greatest in history.
tim gallagher says
THis was very big news in Australia yesterday. Wellington and somhehistory, bringing these creatures back to Australia, because they are Australian citizens is the reason always cited, has been talked about for a few years. I think, and most commentators seem to agree, that the majority of Australians would not want them back. The reason that this is now probably going to happen is because a few months ago a left wing Labor government was voted into power, so I guess that, in any democracy, you get the government you deserve, and we have a dopey leftist government for the next 3 years. Many people say, well, you do have to bring the children back. Yesterday, I heard Barnaby Joyce, who is in opposition these days, but was once Deputy Prime Minister, say that it is going to cost a fortune to try to deradicalise and keep these creatures under surveillance, which is obviously true. I would leave them where they are forever and a huge number of people would agree. The issue always seems to be that they are Australian citizens and therefore we are stuck with them.
Keith O says
Tim, the other little item that seems to go unnoticed is that these barbarians chose to go over to Syria, chose to revoke their Aussie citizenship then chose to spread their legs for those murdering thugs.
They weren’t kidnapped or enslaved it was their choice so they can rot in the hell they helped create.
tim gallagher says
I agree, Keith O, that they made a choice and they knew about the evil that ISIS was doing and they obviously wanted to join in. I wouldn’t let any of them back into Australia. And it is going to cost a fortune in taxpayers’ money to carry out surveilance on them and prevent them doing harm to all of us in Australia once they are back here. I agree that they can rot away in the hell they now live in. Unfortunately, there was always going to come a time when they would end up back in Australia. I always felt sure that that would happen. Our authorities are too weak and so they were always going to take them back some day.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
It’s unbelievable what has happened to Australia so many years after John Howard. I could believe New Zealand or Canada doing that, but for Australia, it defies belief
tim gallagher says
It is not unbelievable at all, Infidel, and I say that as someone who lives in Australia. I feel that Australia resembles all the other western countries that have shifted to the left and embraced all the woke causes and bullshit these days. It is discussed a lot by the more conservative commentators. It seems that the march of the left through schools, universities, media, etc, has now probably brainwashed plenty of young people who vote left wingers into power. Here is a clear example. At present, Australia has only one conservative state government left. Labor are in power in the Federal Government and in all the states in Australia except New South Wales, and it is almost certain to win the next election there which I think is next March. Australia is basically a pretty left wing country and full of the same woke fools as other western countries. I never doubted for a second that these ISIS scum would be let back into Australia again.
Raja says
Infidel,
Who is in power there? Labour or conservative? Nevertheless, either are capable of doing stupid things with all the PCMC culture and propping up the peaceful people of the evil religion. Never mind if they start butchering in random after a while with the ummah remaining silent and most often celebrating as it happened in France, where the peaceful people started honking the cars in unison upon the news of an infidel being butchered for not being Muslim.
gravenimage says
Tim, I hope patriotic Australians speak out against this madness.
tim gallagher says
People will speak out against it, gravenimage, but, as i have said here, I always felt sure that these ISIS scum would be let back into Australia again. The main issue seems to be that they are Australian citizens and so we can’t get rid of them. Peta Credlin, who is a commentator i like, said last night that she is against letting the women back, but she said, look, I suppose we do have to take the children back who were taken to be part of ISIS by their parents. Because Labor are now in power, they’ll bring them back. Probably the Muslim lobby would have plenty of sway with Labor and they are probably lobbying to have these creatures bought back. I’m sure some people will campaign against this move, but I doubt whether it will matter. This Labor Government is bound to do endless stupid things that will damage Australia. But there are plenty of left wingers who voted them in, so the country gets what it deserves as in any democracy.
gravenimage says
Unfortunately, many Western nations are in these same straights.
tim gallagher says
Yes, gravenimage, there’s a similar pattern in so many western countries. It was good to see Italy voting in a conservative recently, going against the trend of putting left wingers into power. The UK also has that conservative government. Australia is definitely a fairly left wing country as we have Labor governments in power in the Federal sphere and in all states except New South Wales and labor are expected to win power in the next election in that state. Maybe the universities, school teachers and media, mostly left wingers, have turned a large number of people into left wing woke types over the years. As i have often mentioned, I am the only non left wing person in my family.
Wellington says
Though an American, tg, I am far more loyal to Australia and the idea of Australia than these technically “Australian citizens” are. Not even a close call. The madness continues.
tim gallagher says
No doubt about that, Wellington. The trouble seems to be that, if these scum have taken out Australian citizenship, and don’t have dual citizenship, in which case we could try to get the other country to take them, then we probably have to take them back. But, of course, their loyalty, as with all Muslims, is to islam and the goal of imposing islam’s garbage of all of us. They are never going to be for supporting our western way of life. That way of life is far too decent and civilised for the followers of islam to support. There are the supporters of our western values and then there are supporters of islam or Marxism as in China, etc. plus all those left wing Marxists in western countries also trying to destroy our way of life.
gravenimage says
Same here, Wellington and Tim.
PRCS says
Around the world–especially in the West where most remain ignorant about Islam–the Muslim lobby” has effectively convinced politicians, so-called reporters, and the general public that Muslims who attempt/try to fully comply with Qur’an, hadith and other Islamic texts have been radicalized, and can be “deradicalized”.
As Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has not been radicalized, he cannot be deradicalized.
tim gallagher says
That’s it, PRCS. The cluelessness about the nature of islam, the refusal to face up to the truth about islam, leaves our authorities pretty much useless when it comes to dealing effectively with this enemy ideology. You always hear about the radicalised Muslims, but their evil garbage is really basic islam with its intrinsic hatred of non-Muslims. Islam has never been any different and it never will be.
PRCS says
Exactly!
NoBurkas says
Because the Labor Party was voted in.

Yes–pious Muslims want to Islamicize the whole world.
Scotsman48 says
If they decide to bring these women and their children to Australia make it clear that the rules of such an agreement are, 1) You will go to prison for at least 5 years for the act of treason against your country, 2) Your children will held in Social Programs or adopted by non muslims, 3) You cannot wear that black garbage bag over your entire body while in Australia as it is against Australian values just as taking it off would be against ISIS values, so if you want to accept the values of the country YOU have decided to live then this is the values of Australia.
Thats the deal, plus any money you have in any Bank Account anywhere in the entire World will be used to pay for your upkeep in Prison… If its proven you have engaged in violence and caused the death of others then at least 20 years in Prison.. NO parole.
Take it or leave it… I would prefer you not take the deal and so you can just live your life where YOU wanted to …You made the bed, now you can lay in it..

Scotsman48,
Lots of good ideas.

“This Labor Government is bound to do endless stupid things that will damage Australia. But there are plenty of left wingers who voted them in, so the country gets what it deserves as in any democracy.”
Well said.
The situation is a warning to non-Muslim countries hosting rather than repatriating illegal Muslim migrants. Giving Muslims citizenship will sooner or later come back to bite you.
tim gallagher says
Thanks, Hank. Yes, from my point of view, the Labor government will come up with endless garbage, but, of course, a huge number of Australians will think it is wonderful stuff. Their climate change crap will help destroy the economy, I am totally opposed to the Voice nonsense, dividing up Australians on racial grounds, and so on. But, as I always say, in a democracy the voters do get the type of government that they deserve and have voted into power. I would not let Muslims into the country because they always seem to be more trouble than they are worth and barbaric islam is always opposed to our western. civilised values. Total incompatibility is all that I can see.
