The principle is always and everywhere the same: in Muslim countries, one must conform one’s behavior to Muslim sensibilities. In non-Muslim countries, one must conform one’s behavior to Muslim sensibilities.
“Muslim Body Condemns Govt’s Decision To Allow Sale Of Beer At Departmental Stores In J&K,” Outlook, October 12, 2022 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulema (MMU) — an amalgam of various religious, social and educational organisations in the Valley — on Thursday condemned the Jammu and Kashmir administration’s approval to the sale of beer and other ready to drink beverages in departmental stores, saying it deeply hurts the sentiments of Muslims.
It said as Kashmir is a Muslim-majority place, such directives show “utter disregard for the tenants [sic] of Islam”.
“Open sale of alcohol in departmental stores will further promote addiction which is a major issue in Kashmir especially among our youth, something that the authorities also claim to be concerned about. It will also encourage immoral behaviour,” the MMU said in a statement.
While the consumption of alcohol is banned in many states of India, why is it being “encouraged” in J-K, it asked….

Perhaps too many Muslims were buying the stuff under cover of darkness?

About five years ago, when I first started reading Jihad Watch, Robert Spencer would often say:
“The principle is always and everywhere the same: in Muslim countries, one must conform one’s behavior to Muslim sensibilities. In non-Muslim countries, one must conform one’s behavior to Muslim sensibilities.”
For a time, I thought that he was exaggerating – just a little.
He was not.

they will never stop pushing and demanding that it’s their way or the highway and everyone else has to move over and allow them to have anything and everything they want…or else.
Some people are rude. Some people are arrogant. mozlums who want everything their way, are both. with the added touch of violence in all of its forms added in.

It “hurts the sentiments of mozlums” they say as the reason for not allowing it. But, then they try adding on the “addiction” problems as a way to weasel it in; with the main reason being, they don’t like it.

India: Muslim org condemns government for allowing sale of alcohol at stores in Jammu and Kashmir
…………………………………..
Screw them–selling alcohol is *not* illegal in any part of India. I don’t drink much alcohol myself–so I just don’t much patronize these stores. I don’t demand that they be shut down. But then, I’m not a supremacist Muslim…

Gravenimage,
Here again the attitude of the Muslims/ Muslim org is – how dare you sell alcohol in our pure land (of sharia)? The world should remember that countries like Iran also used to ban alcohol but once in a while the empty bottles would be crushed by some heavy machines/rollers in full public view. Where did the millions of empty alcohol bottles come from? islam, besides being murderous is also extremely hypocritical.
