The London Metropolitan Police didn’t hesitate to enforce Sharia blasphemy provisions by arresting Hatun Tash. The arrest was consistent with its overall policy of appeasement of London’s growing and restive Muslim population. But the Sharia enforcement was too glaring and obvious to stand this time, and so the cops have backed off. But they’ll do this again nevertheless.
“Police apologise and award Christian evangelist £10,000 for Speakers’ Corner arrests,” Christian Concern, October 21, 2022:
The Metropolitan Police has apologised and admitted it ‘fell below standards’ following two wrongful arrests of a female Christian evangelist at Speakers’ Corner, London.
Supported by the Christian Legal Centre, Hatun Tash, a well-known Christian evangelist who regularly critiques and debates the Qur’an and Islam at Speakers’ Corner, has also received £10,000 in compensation and costs after challenging the arrests.
On 23 May 2021, Miss Tash, who is the director of the ministry Defend Christ Critique Islam (DCCI) and has 700,000 YouTube followers, was assaulted, abused and harassed by a group of Islamic men for wearing a t-shirt with a picture of Muhammad on it while taking part in weekly debates at Speakers’ Corner, known as the home of free speech.
In video footage, when police officers ordered the Islamic group to leave Hyde Park, members of the group told police to ‘go away’ and carried on intimidating Miss Tash.
When the same officers told Miss Tash to leave the park, they told her she would be arrested if she argued with them.
Instead of dealing with the threats and intimidation, the police chose to arrest Miss Tash for ‘breaching the peace’ and then she was further arrested under section.4 A Public Order Act 1986.
She was then taken into police custody and later interviewed under caution and held in custody. For 24 hours she was held before being released with the police taking no further action….
Two months later in July 2021, Miss Tash was stabbed in front of police at the same location by a man in a black Islamic robe in broad day light. No arrest has ever been made.
The police have now also apologised to Miss Tash for wrongfully arresting her on December 2020, again at Speakers’ Corner. In this instance, police officers used the excuse of coronavirus regulations to detain her after she encouraged officers not to hinder another preacher’s right to free speech….
Following the apology, Miss Tash, who has donated the pay-out to the Christian Legal Centre, has said that this must be ‘just the beginning of the police doing more to protect Christian freedoms and free speech at Speakers’ Corner.
“l am very concerned by the approach the police has been taking at Speakers’ Corner. The police have repeatedly taken away my rights and told me that they cannot protect me because they do not want to offend a certain group of people, which has been very disturbing.
“I believe Jesus Christ is the good news for Muslims, the police and the world. Police need to protect my rights as l tell others this good news. My hope is that many Muslims will come to faith in Jesus.
“More must be done to properly deal with Islamic violence and intimidation at Speakers’ Corner. We don’t live in Pakistan; we don’t live in Saudi Arabia. I am Christian and by default I believe that Muhammad is a false prophet. I should be allowed to say that in the UK without being stabbed or repeatedly arrested.
“Police inaction and fear has led to mobs being encouraged to silence, threaten and to even try to kill me. It is heart-breaking that we live in a society where police do not want to arrest a Muslim for fear of being called Islamophobic.
“The police have seen it as easier to remove me than deal with people intimidating and threatening me. By doing this, Sharia Law is ruling Speakers’ Corner rather than the law of the UK.”…

When faced with evil growing in your country and instead of stopping the evil, you back down and attack those opposed to it, then ofc evil will only get stronger.
I’m glad this took place, because for decades the UK police have been appeasing Muslims, even as they become more aggressive and violent towards their opponents.
I’ve never seen any group as shameful, traitorous and feckless as the UK police. They take the easy, coward’s way out, sacrificing the future to have an easy/cozy present. I recall one officer saying he’s retiring in a decade or so and it will no longer be his problem.
Hatun is an amazing, brave woman who has often been surrounded by very aggressive Muslim mobs at Speakers Corner, so it’s no surprise one of those rotten bastards attacked her.
What’s discouraging is that the police did little to find/arrest the perpetrator…he was going for her neck but she defended herself just in time. I hope he’s eventually caught and made to pay. Not to mention the media completely ignored this terrorist attack against her life.
But he’s not unique, he only did what 1,000 other Muslims wanted to do as commanded by their psychotic religion. Should the UK authorities/politicians continue to behave weakly towards the growing and violent Muslim population, then such incidents will become commonplace and the only solution or outcome then will be civil war.

Fitna,
The apology and award are all fine. How will they ensure that this kind poor judgements and actions are not repeated, that too in Speakers’ corner? The cops/officers who carried out the injustice should be charged or at least fired. What is the govt doing about that? Will the UK govt investigate how far the Left or Islamic fascists have infiltrated the police force as Hatun incidence has signaled? Is the govt formulating new guidelines for dealing with Islamic terrorists in view of Hatun/ speakers’ corner tragedy. The UK citizens or citizens of the free world should be asking these questions not me.
Fitna says
All great questions Raja…was this some hush-money to keep the infidels quiet, because this story became popular and will they go back to business as usual?
Yes unfortunately it’s probably not a major change in the way the UK cops deal with the public and Muslims especially. Change normally comes from the top down. If their bosses tell them to get tough with Muslims then maybe we’ll see them put in their place, but I don’t see that happening sadly.
The trouble is that the elites in Britain are also showing a weak, pacifist attitude towards Islam and until that changes, it’ll continue to be dangerous for infidels to speak out. I think Hatun should go there with security and maybe wear a knife proof vest and gloves if she wants to keep preaching there.
Tim,
I fully agree, it’s insane that they took the guns away from the cops. It’s potentially very dangerous work. Maybe there might’ve been a time where it was “so peaceful” guns were not needed, but it’s absolutely necessary today, with the flood of criminal gangs/migrants from other countries, with crazy Muslims, guns are essential.
They continue to operate under the illusion that everything is fine, while their streets are fully of acid-attackers, stabbers, gunmen, rapists and terrorists. Reality on the ground has changed but they have not. Hopefully they’ll wake up soon. Ofc as we all know if they deported the Muslim population, the crime rate would drop by half if not more, since that’s the most crime prone religion in any country.

Mr T Robinson has, according to his recent book “Silenced”, been extremely badly treated not just by cops, but some in the courts, Judges, Yet we still hear UK Law is the best in the world. No more if Tommys book is accurate.

I was thinking, Fitna, when I read about how the Muslim scum told the police to “go away” that, maybe, it is because, unbelievably to me, the English police, in a very outdated way, don’t even carry guns. This woman sounds like an extraordinarily brave person and the police sound pathetic. It does sound as if the police just want to cave in and have a peaceful life, but why the English police are not armed is a mystery to me. They all carry handguns in Australia, which they seldom have to use, but a police force where members are unarmed seems like a bad joke to me in our violent modern times. Having the mob of Muslim scum tell the police to “go away” and the police back off is absolutely pathetic.

They didnt take guns away from UK cops, the force were never “All armed”. Some sections, some armed units are available, but there can be delays in getting to the ” action”
tim gallagher says
Yes, Fitna, the way that the average police officer in the UK is unarmed has seemed to me to be a very out of date way of operating. It seems like some kind of quaint idea from a far more peaceful time. I do realise that sometimes the police do have to back off when confronted by a big mob of people, but this incident where the Muslim scum at Speakers’ Corner told the police to “go away” and they did is annoying. As I said, in Australia, a reasonably peaceful country, the police carry handguns but they don’t have to use them very often. The UK, in having unarmed police, seems to me to have refused to accept that their society has changed. Actually, you mention how much more violent UK society has become, so it is a wonder that the police there don’t demand that be armed.
Check Burry says
They call it Policing by consent. Consent of the citizens. That idea was probably a fine thing till the type of public changed so much, so badly. If cops are in a gun, sword, machete situation is there time to wait for an armed unit to arrive, when we have idiots glued to the roads.
tim gallagher says
What you say, Check Burry, about how there can be a delay whole the unarmed police wait for armed police to arrive, has struck me as a major problem. Having police unarmed just seems like a weird idea from a more peaceful past.

It is so sad to witness the progressive moral decay taking place in too many of once proud and brave United Kingdom’s Bobbies.
The once sacred ground for free speech Speaker’s Corner was, has now been usurped by hateful and thuggish Muslim fanatics.
Hatun Tash is a fearless lioness of a woman. Despite the constant threats and now assaults by criminals, she continues to come to challenge the deceitful Dawandists.
Kudos to Hatun Tash and may the Lord of Hosts watch over her and protect her in her brave endevour.

How the hell did that happen?
Someone winning against the UKs sharia police? I never thought I’d see it happen.

They, too, subsequently sued the police and won their case.

UK: Police apologize and award Christian speaker Hatun Tash $11,300 for arresting her at Speakers’ Corner

Good to hear!
But mostly, I hope police stop enabling Muslim thugs violently quashing freedom of speech in Britain.

The Metropolitan Police has had rather a lot of ‘admitting’ and ‘apologising’ to do in recent times, to the extent that it is now under special measures for proven corruption – which is obviously a step in the right direction. But I’m afraid that it now has a reputation that stinks not only in London but around the world, and this is no doubt something to do with the current regime purporting to run a ‘Capital City’ that is now frankly a third-world, crime infested cesspit.
By the way, Speaker’s Corner’ should now be considered a charming relic from the United Kingdom’s civilised past; it simply cannot be sustained in the current mess except in the mind of deluded cock-eyed optimist

It has now come to pass that the London Police Force arrest a Christian woman for preaching at Speakers Corner while doing nothing against those of the islamic faith who scream allo snackbar and even stabbed a Christian woman in front of them.
I lived in London way back in the late 1960s when it was great City and often went to Speakers Corner and debated various people, some who were really crazy but fun to speak with… ZERO violence against a person I disagreed with as opinions are like arseholes… everybody has one…
The muslims destroyed Speakers Corner because those low IQ backward bottom feeders cant take a bloody joke.

The British police are a disgrace. They openly say they don’t have time to prosecute real crimes like burglary, probably because they spend their time arresting people for mean tweets & hurting the feelings of minorities. They are nothing but a tool for political correctness & wokeness.

Too true–just appalling.
I have mentioned her before that my maternal grandfather was a police superintendent in England in saner times. He must be rolling over in his grave now.
