You know Turkish elections are around the corner when maps like this show up on tv.
They claim that by 2050 the whole region and beyond will be under Turkish control.
The best part of all this delirium is that a large number of Turks actually believe it, @RTErdogan relies on this pic.twitter.com/musnhCN1jj— Harry Theocharous (@TheocharousH) November 5, 2022
Erdogan’s dream of a revived Ottoman Empire, made plain on a map.

Curious that they *don’t* show Israel absorbed by their fantasy Turkish Empire. And their map shows Israel incorporating Judea, Samaria and the Golan. Very curious.

That’s because Erdogan is insane, not stupid.
Any attempt by that twerp to absorb Israel into his fantasy would result in an expansion of Israel’s borders just a wee bit more than they are now.
Keith O says
Delusional little prick.
The scary part is the Turk on the street believes this crap.

Nothing like this goes on air in Turkey without permission of Erdogan.
Make no mistake about it Erdogan intends to make his move sooner or later.

I’ve been saying the same thing for a long time—-

It’s going to happen GreekEmpress Erdogan is a thoroughly evil man, and if he is not the Biblical anti-christ he certainly is paving the way for him.
The anti- christ will come from Turkey.

Everything you said about Turkey wanting Greece and Armenia is proven by this map

This is not nearly as far-fetched as you might think. Turkey has a large, technologically advanced, highly capable military. If some other powerful nation does not intervene, Turkey would have no real difficulty making this happen, although it would take a while, and it might be a bit of a challenge to get it done by 2050.
Ironically, I think Turkey’s biggest obstacle would be Russia – I’m not sure how much Russia would care about the Middle East, but they would definitely take a dim view of Turkey (or anyone other than the Russians themselves) seizing control of the Caucacus.
Unfortunately, I don’t think the US, NATO, or the EU would be willing to help Greece if (when) Turkey decides to go full Suleiman mode. If history is any guide, the US may well be willing to help the Saudis and the other GCC nations, but with the rapidly declining state of the US military, there’s no guarantee the US would have the ability to do anything by the time this actually starts happening.

One thing that struck me about the above map was not so much Turkish claims on much of the Arab world (wonder why they chose not to claim Sudan, Algeria as well?) or on Greece and Armenia, but their claim on quite a bit of Russia as well. Is President Putin okay w/ this?
If Turkey ever got its way and got this, Russia would become a virtually landlocked country, since during the winter, St Petersburg, all its Arctic ports and some of the Pacific ones as well would be ice-blocked, and Russian goods would no longer have access to the Black Sea w/o Erdogan’s approval. That is quite a claim
Only thing in that map that was justified was the claim to Turkmenistan, since that’s where the Oghuz Turks – the tribe that the Seljuqs and Ottomans came from – originated
