Qatar used every dirty trick to secure the World Cup. All everyone had to do was overlook that…
1. Qatar is an Islamist tyranny, tied in with the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, the Taliban and Iran.
2. It widely uses slave labor, killing thousands of workers to construct its postmodern pyramids.
3. It runs under Islamic law. While the Saudis have moderated somewhat (only to be blasted by media campaigns led by Qatar and operatives like Jamal Khashoggi) Qatar pretends to be moderate. The pretense collapsed when the myth hit the reality in a glass of beer.
Qatar has banned beer at World Cup football stadiums, just two days before the opening match, the New York Times reported Friday.
The decision comes after several changes to the rules on the consumption of alcohol caused tensions between FIFA, world football’s governing body, and the Muslim host country, where drinking in public is prohibited.
However, beer will still be available in luxury suites reserved for FIFA officials and other wealthy guests, the New York Times reported citing an official who asked not to be named.
Everyone else can go to hell.
Islamic law on the subject is pretty clear. Qatar not only operates under Sharia law, but uses its influence operations through platforms like its Al Jazeera propaganda network, not to mention the Muslim Brotherhood, to inflict them far beyond its borders.
Western infidels allowed themselves to be lied to, likely bribed and beguiled into believing that Islamists don’t take their own religion seriously. They do. They’re willing to lie, cheat and kill on the way to getting there, but they will still get there. And you will not get any beer, infidel.
Qatari officials has changed their minds on the subject of alcohol, forcing Budweiser — which has the exclusivity to sell beer at World Cup matches — to relocate stalls selling beer outside the stadiums because the Qatari rulers wanted alcohol to be less prominent. Now it has been banned altogether. FIFA said in a statement.
That’s a problem because FIFA has a €72 million contract with Budweiser. The brewing giant tweeted “Well, this is awkward…” after the news broke.
Hopefully, Budweiser sues everyone involved, including FIFA officials and Qatar.
That said, how could anyone believe that Osama bin Laden’s favorite platform would be okay with booze? Did anyone really expect Budweiser at the state sponsor of the Muslim Brotherhood?
But at least in Europe, there can be criticism of Qatar. In the United States, Qatar has a death grip on our elected officials, on the media and on D.C. It outright controls Brookings and the media keeps repeating its Khashoggi propaganda.
In Europe, they talk back. Here they just bow to Qatar.
The Qatari minister claimed that there are inaccurate numbers being reported on the deaths of migrant workers and that “some media, unfortunately, said that Qatari nationals are a bunch of terrorists.” He said such reports were “smear campaigns” against Qatar.
Another German MEP, Dietmar Köster of the Socialists & Democrats, said he would not be watching the World Cup, while Miguel Urbán Crespo from the Left group called it “a World Cup of shame” and backed a boycott of the event.
Dutch MEP Peter van Dalen from the center-right European People’s Party said “World Cup 2022 should never have ended up in Qatar.”
Finally, some good bipartisanship.

This World Cup soccer tournament could well wake quite a lot of the slow learners from the non-Muslim wolrd to what a load of shit islam is. I hope it does so. It was pretty amazing that just a day or so before the tournament began they announced that there would be no beer at the games. Seems like the usual crap where intolerant islam expects everyone to fit in with their garbage. It makes islamic countries unfit to hold such international tournaments. It will be interesting to see whether this World Cup is considered a success or a failure. I guess the press will try to talk it up anyway and say that it was all just great. I think it was a huge, and corrupt (big bribes from Qatar involved I suspect) mistake to have the World Cup in such a hideous, islamic country.

Let’s indeed hope that at least some of the still willfully ignorant about Islam here in the West finally wake up to what Islam intends for all of humanity, though committed Leftists won’t because, like Islam, Leftism places ideology and fervent conviction in paramount position above such minor matters as truth and facts.

As you say, the no beer at football matches and all the other repressive islamic crap is showing what islam intends, in the long run, for all of humanity. No fun in islam, the repressive load of crap that it is. I was surprised that the Qatar regime told the people at the last minute about the no beer at matches rule. Maybe they realised that plenty of people who think that drinking a few beers at a football match is an essential part of the experience would have cancelled their tickets and boycotted the tournament if the announcement had come sooner. If a few more slow learners wake up to islam’s revolting nature because of this tournament then that would be a good result.

I like soccer very much (excuse my using the American word for this great sport to distinguish it from American football) and actually played goalie on my college team back in 1969-1970. It’s a great sport, one of the best in the world, but I am quite reluctant to watch a single match in this World Cup play precisely because it is being played in Qatar.
FIFA should have its collective ass kicked for being so suckered by Qatar. But again, perhaps this is a blessing in disguise if more and more people who are not Muslim realize that what Qatar is doing is very much in keeping with what Islam wants to be “doing” all over planet Earth.

For Wellington, just for information, the term “soccer” began in England, where it is very much still in use, to distinguish the game, Association Football, from other football games, like Rugby football and so on. It comes from the word Association, abbreviated to Assoc, and refers to the Association’s rules for its game.

Wellington, here in Australia we have always called it soccer. In recent times, the soccer crowd have begun to whinge a bit and tell us that we should call it football. In Australia, probably Australian Rules football, which resembles gaelic football, is the most popular football code. I only follow one brand of football and that is Rugby League. It is big in New South Wales and Queensland. It is what I played as a kid and always followed. Though I’m a fan of sports, I don’t bother with soccer or Aussie Rules football at all. I can see that soccer is the biggest sport of all world wide, but i settle for watching the good goals scored that they show on TV news and that’s all. Yes, giving this World Cup to Qatar stinks to high heaven. Disgusting, barbaric countries don’t deserve to get tournaments like this. Thanks for the information, Michael, about the term “soccer”. I had no idea about where the term came from.

Thanks to both Michael Copeland and tim gallagher for correcting my ignorance about the use of the word “soccer.” I mistakenly thought it is used in America to distinguish itself from American football (my favorite team sport btw and which is even more American than baseball or basketball PRECISELY because almost no one else except the semi-case of Canadians appreciates it) and that the term “football” is used for what Americans like myself call “soccer.”

FIFA should have split the world cup b/w Qatar and other Gulf countries, like Saudi Arabia, Emirates, Bahrein, Kuwait and Oman. That would have allowed for 6 major stadiums in each country and then some, instead of some 9 stadiums around Doha
