When did Biden own slaves? How can he apologize for something he had nothing to do with? Biden and other American Leftists act as if the United States invented slavery or were somehow uniquely implicated in it. I’m sure that during his meeting with African leaders he didn’t mention that the slaves were sold to the slave traders by their fellow Africans, many of whom were Muslims selling non-Muslim captives.
“‘My nation’s original sin’: Biden apologizes to delegation of African leaders for the ‘unimaginable cruelty’ of slavery and offers them $55billion – as Rwandan president mocks US in front of laughing crowd,” DailyMail.com, December 15, 2022:
Joe Biden on Wednesday apologized for the ‘unimaginable cruelty’ of slavery, which he referred to as America’s ‘original sin’, and pledged $55 billion in investment to the continent.
Speaking during a gathering of almost all African leaders in Washington DC – the first since Barack Obama convened a summit in 2014 – Biden expressed regret for the past, but insisted: ‘The United States is all in on Africa’s future.’
During a White House dinner honoring African leaders and their spouses, Biden addressed what he called America’s ‘original sin’ – the enslavement of millions of people – and honored their descendants and the broader African diaspora community in the United States.
‘Our people lie at the heart of the deep and profound connection that forever binds Africa and the United States together,’ he said.
‘We remember the stolen men and women and children were brought to our shores in chains, subjected to unimaginable cruelty.’
Singer Gladys Knight later serenaded Biden and the visiting leaders with a performance in the White House State Dining Room.
The White House announced that $55 billion was being directed to Africa in the areas of health, climate change, trade and women’s initiatives – but the money was met with scorn by some.
Paul Kagame, the president of Rwanda, was asked earlier on Wednesday whether the 2014 summit yielded concrete results.
‘Well, at least we had a good meeting,’ he replied, to laughter from those assembled.
Biden’s outreach attempt was seen by many as a way of limiting the power of China, which has invested more in Africa than any other nation.
Beijing has held its own high-level meetings with African leaders every three years for over two decades.
Chinese trade with Africa is about four times that of the United States, and Beijing has become an important creditor by offering cheaper loans – often with opaque terms and collateral requirements – than Western lenders….

Stop giving money to countries who give nothing back.

We all here at this level of correspondence KNOW exactly where our money goes. WE have to deal with our mindless lunatic politicians mostly on the make anyway.
I was watching a serious TV programme about the property market in/around central London.
Apparently, a huge percentage is left empty simply confirming what we already knew.
If I had ANY control of this crazy situation I would tax these people out of existence via their bank accounts. Yes I know about the Cayman Islands etc. etc. but there surely is a way with political determination right now, which is utterly lacking in UK and other places.

That will simply disappear into various African Leaders’ Bank Accounts. The Peoples will see the square root of zero of that money.

Essentially, Biden is doing internationally what some Dems, like Gavin Newsome, are trying to do domestically: pay Blacks unconditionally money for things that were done specifically to African people decades ago. Despite the fact that slavery has been illegal for at least a century, at least in this country. Oh, and don’t expect Biden to say anything about modern slavery in places like Mauritania or Sudan

And the slave sellers of Africa indeed fought the brits if I remember, in three separate battles which amounted to the Ghanians fighting as a guerilla type fight into the jungles where the brits gave up and returned to their ships. The slavers of Africa indeed, did not want to nor gave up slavery of other Africans, and it is THEY who might be asked for some form of reparation. Though that of course, will never come about.

There is still slavery going on but not in America , It’s in some Islamic nations, Including the Islamic countries of Africa. One reason why slavery is going in the House of Islam is because slavery is permitted in that religion After all,Muhammad , the prophet of Islam had many slaves and he is viewed by Muslims as ‘the perfect man ‘ and therefore accepted by them and the best man to emulate.
Walter Sieruk says
Let’s face the facts about the history of slavery in America. which is that as, indeed ,terrible.
Nevertheless, the reality all those who had been slaves in America in the South are all long dead and buried. likewise all those slaver owners in the old South are also dead and buried .
As for the civil war the rich men who had slaves didn’t go out in battle as soldiers in battle for the Confederacy. Many of Confederate soldiers came from poor families . History records that a captured Confederate solider was asked by a Federal solider .”Since you come from a very poor family that has no slaves why is it that you’re fighting for the South ?” then the Confederate solider replied “Because your down here.”
Likewise in the Union States in was legal for a man who was wealthy if he was drafted into the Union army he could pay for a poor man to go out to war in place of him.
Later as that civil war dragged on the soldiers of both the North and the South became bitter and they started to that “That this is a rich man’s war but a poor man’s fight.”
It is important to mention that ,in time the United States did “repent” of her sin of slavery.
This is not so was the House of Islam. It never repented and continues with slavery into this century.
Feeble minded old Joe must have forgotten that. Maybe he’s too senile to remember this.

Just like his former boss, Obama–Biden blames America first; and apologizes for America.

Since the last Africa country was to be free of their Colonial Masters I can see Africa is in a much worse position today than it was at the end of the 1970s when all the European Colonialists had left.
However the Billions of US$ and Euro that have been sent to that Continent has done nothing, nada, to help the people help themselves and if you look at the same situation and the same time line of various South East Asians Nations then its clear one is doing great and the other getting worse…
Any idea of why that is….
Somebody needs to stop Old Joe before he totally destroys the USA as he is doing a really good job in doing that.
Perhaps a short History Lesson about Slavery would be good reading for Old Joe.
Im surprised at Gladys Knight as I thought she was a smart lady… I guess not…
Go figure…

Is there no way to use these columns for something (anything) relevant? Old sick/senile Biden and his crew are history.

According to Donald Harris, the father of JoJo’s ho’ Heels Up (Kamala) Harris, she was a slave owner with over 200 slaves across 5 plantations. How much is she going to pony up?

What next? Apologizing to Japan and paying it reparations for interring Japanese-Americans in WWll?
Any apologies should go to the surviving slaves (there are none) and to the surviving Japanese-Americans who were interred or to their descendants.
What busines is it of those African countries?
࿗Infidel࿘ says
IIRC, President George HW Bush (#41) did apologize to Japanese survivors of those internment camps, and to their descendants, for what President FDR ordered during WWII. I don’t know whether any ‘reparations’ were paid, though
Also, I don’t have problems w/ descendants of slaves being compensated by the government, if they are identified, although there is a good question about whether they deserve that regardless of how intermediate generations have done, or how they themselves are doing. The decrepit state of the Black community today has more to do w/ the absence of fathers than anything else: they actually were doing fine in the interim period before LBJ’s Great Society but after the end of slavery, when they had wholesome, intact families. So the underlying question would be: does any generation get to cash in on the sufferings of their ancestors?
And this doesn’t even get to the question of whether Blacks who are descendants of more recent immigrants to the US, like Obama or Que Mala, should be entitled to those reparations
Violet says
Why isn’t the Middle East paying? Has WEF not persuaded the Middle East to destroy their own lands?
Biden hands America’s money to African leaders…the place that captured slaves….marched them to the shores to sell into the Atlantic and the Saharan slave trade.
Violet says
President Lyndon B. Johnson once said, “If you can convince the lowest white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you.”
Isn’t this exactly what the Democrats and the left in all the western democratic countries are doing today? They tell their followers that they’re morally superior, kinder, more charitable than their political opponents…it works……their voting block follows them and their taking our countries right over the cliff.
