Iran’s Islamic supremacist bravado is common, and efforts to humiliate the infidel enemy aren’t new. Iran is now boasting of superior weapons which it claims are unknown to America and the EU (presumably Israel, too, despite Israel’s sophisticated military intelligence).
Recall Saddam Hussein’s famous words during During Operation Desert Shield, boasting about the “mother of all battles” in reference to his supposedly coming grand victory against the infidel enemy America. Hussein also invoked “Islamic fervor” in his efforts to win the war. His display of bravado ended tragically for him. In like manner, Iran is attempting to project an impression of greatness to its Shia followers while also trying to intimidate its opponents.
“IRGC Navy Commander Admiral Alireza Tangsiri: America Can’t Even Imagine The Missiles We Have, Our Missiles Can Reach The Stars; The Missiles We Display In Drills Are Not The Ones We Will Use In War,” MEMRI, December 26, 2022:
Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, the commander of the IRGC Navy, said in a December 13, 2022 public address that was broadcast by SNN Internet TV (Iran) that America “cannot even imagine” the missiles Iran has, and that Iran even has missiles that can reach the Pleiades star cluster. Tangsiri also said that the missiles displayed in drills are not the ones Iran would use in war, and he mocked American soldiers.

“What we demonstrate during drills is not what we will bring to war.

“Thank God, when you think about our missiles, consider [a range] that begins at 10 km, and ends in the Pleiades [star cluster].

“No country has succeeded in installing missiles on six- or eight-meter-long boats, but we succeeded in doing so. Inshallah, you will see this next time these vessels are commissioned to service. We also launched [missiles] successfully.

“The first slap God gave the Americans was when four Americans and two Kuwaitis tried to cross towards the Arvand River. Our guys approached them. One of the Americans asked one of the Kuwaitis: ‘Who are these?’ The Kuwaiti said that they were IRGC. [The Americans were alarmed] ‘IRGC?!’ And, unfortunately, one of them wet himself. They really do need Easy Life [adult diapers]. I saw the guy who wet himself, he was two-meters tall.

“When we wanted to release them… Unfortunately, they would not let this be made public. You never saw these four [Americans on TV]. This was 2003. Mr. Khatami and his people would not let this be made public, unfortunately. For us, it was a sign of our strength, but they would not let this [be published]. So, in short, we released them……

Except that your major arms supplier Russia, now needs their weapons back for their war effort in Ukraine. Even your drones are getting bought and used by them. So where will you get the weapons for war? It won’t be anything like the war against Iraq in the 80s, if it comes to that

WOW, Define “delusional”.
I have to wonder if this interview was being pitched at preteen kids? Surely the Iranian government didn’t think that adults would believe this crap.
