“As a Muslim we should not celebrate or even congratulate other religions in their celebrates that’s all.”
The popular Muslim preacher Zakir Naik explains this line of thought here.
How likely is it that the Muslims who bombarded Mo Salah with hate messages will become loyal members of British society?
A few years back, some fake ex-Muslims harshly criticized me for criticizing Maajid Nawaz. The British supermarket chain Tesco had run an ad featuring hijabbed Muslims celebrating Christmas, and Nawaz had said that anyone who looked askance at this was “Islamophobic.” I pointed out that the number of observant, Sharia-adherent Muslims who celebrated Christmas was vanishingly small, if there were any at all, and was called “bigoted” for this. So what do those alleged ex-Muslims think of the anger at Mo Salah? No Muslims should be angry with him at all, no?
“Liverpool Star Mo Salah Criticised By Muslim Fans For Christmas Tree Post,” Sahara Reporters, December 25, 2022:
The Egyptian captain has made it a tradition to send Christmas greetings on social media for a number of years.
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been criticised on social media by Muslim fans after he posted a picture of his family next to a Christmas tree.
The Egyptian captain has made it a tradition to send Christmas greetings on social media for a number of years….
Salah, who is a Muslim, captioned the photo with ‘#MerryChristmas’ on his Twitter and Instagram accounts.
The 30-year-old and his family – wife Magi and daughters Makka and Kayan – posed in matching pyjamas for his traditional Christmas post.
Salah’s tweet has been slammed by Muslim supporters, with one claiming: ‘I shall be unfollowing you and stop supporting Liverpool because you are celebrating Christmas with the Christians.’
Another said: ‘I’ve been a Liverpool fan since I was born but I will stop supporting the club because you are celebrating Christmas with the Christians. You’ve just lost me as a fan Mo Salah. Goodbye!’…
Others claim Salah’s annual Christmas post is a curse on Liverpool. After he put a similar picture on social media in 2020, the Reds failed to win a game at Anfield for eight matches in a row.

Muslims worship Muhammad. They say they don’t, but they do.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Yeah, Muhammad is the real deity in islam: allah is just his sock puppet
NoLibsWelcomeHere says
Didn’t mohammed the pig-faced dog actually invent allah the moon-god? He also wrote the contents of the terror guide the koran in diarrhea on the Arabian sands following a meal of an uncooked pig, or “dad” as he called it?
࿗Infidel࿘ says
That assumes that Muhammad even existed in the first place. I’m tending towards RS’ conjecture in his book ‘Did Muhammad exist?’ that in fact, he didn’t, and was in fact a creation of Abbasid writers
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Is Mohamed Salah still a part of the Egyptian team? Does he live in England or in Egypt? If the answers are no and England, he should silence his critics by converting to Christianity and just telling his ex-fans, “There, happy now? I’m no longer a muslim, so I’m no longer violating your stupid expectations”
This rule actually should be expanded to cover all muslims who do things that are normally graceful in normal human interactions, but considered shirk in islam. In this case, it’s Salah and Christmas, but there have been cases in India, where muslim celebrities get slammed on social media by average muslims when they display their celebration of Hindu festivals. In all these cases, the muslims in question should openly renounce islam for these alternate faiths or even become agnostics. There’s one Indian muslim celebrity Urfi Javed who did precisely that: declared herself a non-muslim and that she’d never marry a muslim. More should follow her example

It can be dangerous to apostasize from Islam, especially if one is prominent. The penalty for apostasy under Sharia is death, and many fanatics are eager to impose it. Better have good security if you convert out.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
But he’s being accused of shirk anyway, just like he would be had he openly apostatized. So what’s the difference?
cardbank16 says
Christians and Christmas are pretty much in lockstep.
So, those Muslims critical of Mo Salah should seek out an all-Muslim premier league team to support.

Muslims harshly criticize soccer star Mohamed Salah for wishing Christians ‘Merry Christmas’
……………………………..
But for many of these critics *murdering* Christians is just fine.
Sylvi Clark says
Egypt used to be a beautiful Christian Country until it was overrun by Moslems, and has now very sadly fallen to Islam.
If any Moslem living in the U.K. is unhappy with an Islamic footballer wishing his loyal Army of Christian supporters Happy or Merry Christmas they have the right to make a swift exit out of the U.K., and head off to an Islamic Country if their choice. In other words “sod off”, this is a Christian Nation, it’s OUR Country, and if you don’t agree with our Christian religion, culture, traditions and Laws then frankly you are NOT WELCOME. If you are a Moslem born to Islamic parents who claimed sanctuary in the U.K., before you were born here the same right still applies. There is nothing stopping you from leaving this CHRISTIAN COUNTRY, we will not stop you from exiting the U.K. In other words good riddance. But what we as British Christian people will not tolerate is Moslems living in our country who are 100% intolerant of all others. It’s NOT YOUR COUNTRY, and never will be if you cannot, or refuse to adjust your behaviour accordingly.
The U.K. is NOT AN ISLAMIC COUNTRY – We are a CHRISTIAN NATION
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Sylvi, I agree w/ you, but it would come as news to not just your Labour Party, but also many in your so-called ‘Conservative’ Party as well – that you are a Christian nation

Well said! Time for Britain to remember what our ancestors fought and died for.

islam appears to be the ONLY religion in the World that seems to discard everybody else and their faith and yet scream what a religion of peace they are following.
They truly are mercifully free from the ravages of intelligence.
By their attitude non muslims, like the pricks at the BBC, should not celebrate ramadamadingdong when it comes around.
If I go to an islamc Nation, Ive been in 6, lived in one, then I must accept the religion and traditions of that country even though I am not, thankfully, a muslim, however muslims come to the UK and demand we treat them with respect while they piss on our Shoes and tell us its raining.
We are being played by crazy people that dislike free thought.
Valhella says
So true Scotsman! I hope to be a part of the fight to regain our sovereignty – Death to all islamists!
