The leader of NATO member Turkey has called LGBTQ a “global dictatorship tool” that is a “threat against Islamic values.” Recep Tayyip Erdogan was addressing the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. It is one thing to disagree with the LGBTQ lifestyle and another to abuse the rights of homosexuals, which is routinely done in Islamic countries, where homosexuality is outlawed and the penalty is often death.
Increasingly “Turkey’s LGBT people are living in fear.” Erdogan provided an insight into the direction of Turkey when he declared regarding the Taliban that “Turkey has nothing that contradicts their beliefs.”
“Erdoğan says ‘LGBT imposition a global dictatorship tool’ against Islam,” Bianet English, November 28, 2022:
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan targeted LGBTI+s and western countries in a speech today (November 28) at a gathering of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in İstanbul.
Erdoğan described the “imposition of LGBT” as a “global dictatorship tool” that threatens Islamic values.
“Today, anti-Islamism is one of Western politicians’ most frequently used tools to gather votes or cover up their failures,” he remarked at the opening of the 38th Meeting of the Standing Committee for the OIC’s Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC).
“Those who talk big about democracy and freedoms do not hesitate to implement the most fascist practices regarding the rights of Muslims, especially Muslim women.”
The president lashed out at European countries’ headscarf regulations, which he called a “new form of racism.”
“The unlawful restrictions on headscarves in school, work life, and public spaces in some European countries are the most striking examples of this.
“The imposition of LGBT, which has become a global dictatorship tool, is another threat that aims to weaken both the institution of the family and Islamic values.
“No matter how you put it, interfering with belief through violence, to dictate one’s own way of life, is a form of resurrecting the spirit of the medieval inquisition.
“Without a doubt, this fascist wave affects Muslims and other non-Muslims of different languages and cultures.
“It is essential to strengthen solidarity within our organization to fight against this new form of racism.”…..

I’m actually not too sure about this any more. I used to be in support of gay civil unions, not persecuting them and so on, but today, once gay marriage was approved by SCOTUS, we have the trans movement. I’d love to see evidence that if we don’t persecute gays, trans will not start grooming, but I don’t
So on this islam vs LGBTQIA, I’ll sit this one out – just pop the popcorn, but not support either side!

Erdogan: “No matter how you put it, interfering with belief through violence, to dictate one’s own way of life, is a form of resurrecting the spirit of the medieval inquisition.”
Emigrating to a foreign country to splice into its wealth while rejecting its culture and forming one’s own shadow nation is a form of resurrecting the spirit of medieval jihad conquest and booty.
When Erdogan visits EU nations, campaigning for his election, could there be a more obvious sign that his Turks have an agenda that does not include integration? There is no such thing as dual loyalty.
Erdogan: “The imposition of LGBT, which has become a global dictatorship tool, is another threat that aims to weaken both the institution of the family and Islamic values.”
What kind of “family” assigns inferior, fearful, status to women and trades them like cattle for marriage?
Now the “Woke” are realizing they have been duped about Islamic laws concerning sexual deviations and those fellow Muslim travelers might have plans to act on them as they gain more power. Maybe that bulge under Abdullah’s shirt is a knife?
With Erdogan at the helm, Turkey does not belong in NATO. Erdogan has destroyed many of Mustafa Ataturk’s reforms and taken Turkey back to the “spirit of the medieval”.

Here we go again, Erdogan spouting his mouth off how the evil western nations are targeting muslims. Doesn’t matter what excuse he can use, whether it’s LGBT movement or headscarf regulations, it all boils down to one thing in his eyes.
“We poor muslims are being oppressed and persecuted by the evil west, and I Mr Erdogan intend to do something about it.” This is what he is really saying not just to the islamic world but to all of us.

Agree 100 % with Westman & John..Smith’s comments.

One of my major reasons as a UK citizen for voting to Brexit was that accession to the EU by Turkey had been mooted. The UK would have been Muslim by 2030 if that had happened, and if we had still been EU members. I’m a bit surprised though that Mr Erdogan does not realise how beneficial the LGBT community is to hardline Islam. More and more people are choosing a lifestyle which makes it impossible for them to reproduce naturally, plus abortion up to birth for any reason is being championed, thus enabling the takeover of European nations from within, simply by outbreeding. After which the LGBT community will have done the job its political masters assigned it, whether or not it thought it was doing its own thing and being authentic, and its adherents can be dropped from tall buildings as per the Koran.

You’re right, Alkflaeda, Erdogan should be cheering the LBGTs on in the EU. Islam plans to eliminate them eventually, so why give the game away while they are still useful?
