Apparently the jihadis wish to target Muslims who refused to join the jihad, and are planning on hiding out in churches. Welcome to the new, diverse Austria!
“Terrorist alert: risk of attack on churches in Vienna,” translated from “Terroralarm: Anschlagsgefahr auf Kirchen in Wien,” Kronen Zeitung, March 15, 2023 (thanks to L.):
Increased police presence in the federal capital: the state police reported on Wednesday morning via Twitter that there was an increased number, some in special equipment. The reason: the threat of attacks on Viennese churches.
Specifically, there is a security alarm from the Directorate for State Security and Intelligence (DSN). According to “Krone” research, the police intelligence service received information about a planned attack by a Syrian Islamist terrorist cell.
The threat is apparently aimed at the compatriots who fled to Austria to escape the war and dictator Bashar al-Assad. According to this, they were to be murdered during a visit to Mass because they did not go into battle as holy warriors for jihad.
In order to ensure security, there are therefore more police officers – district forces, WEGA and Cobra – on duty, the police said. “The monitoring is a precautionary measure,” it was emphasized – a common process in such scenarios.
However, the risk is not so great that temporary closures or cancellations of services are currently necessary, the Archdiocese of Vienna said. The Catholic Church is in close contact with the police. “We know that there will be more controls,” said Michael Prüller, spokesman for the Archdiocese of Vienna. Vienna’s cathedral priest Toni Faber expressed his gratitude to the police and security authorities “that they have the situation under control and have taken appropriate security measures.”
The founder of the Syrian Orthodox Church in Austria, Emanuel Aydin, says he has not yet had direct contact with the police. Officials were in the vicinity of his church in Favoriten and spoke to members of the community. The church is still open.
The army was not initially brought in to assist, said Defense Ministry spokesman Colonel Michael Bauer. “Our forces, who routinely guard the embassies, are sensitized.” A local inspection in the city center only revealed a slightly increased police presence.
It is unclear how long the churches will be guarded due to the “increased risk of Islamist-motivated attacks.”
The head of the State Security and Intelligence Directorate, Omar Haijawi-Pirchner, emphasized in a press conference at the Ministry of the Interior on Tuesday that there is still a threat from radical Islamist forces even after the Islamic State (IS) terrorist militia was largely defeated. From the observation of relevant networks one sees “Islamists who could commit attacks in Europe,” said Haijawi-Pirchner. There are also “high-risk individuals” in Austria.
Haijawi-Pirchner distinguished three groups of people in Austria who pose a threat: Individuals, often radicalized on the Internet, who were born between 1995 and 2010 and act on social media channels such as TikTok and Instagram. There is also a second group that also uses social media, but also visits relevant mosques and bars. The last group consists of adult men, often born in Austria, who are very closely networked with each other and act conspiratorially.

Of course, kill many “birds” and destroy the church too. Whatever the *excuse,* take down innocent people and their property.

Ah, the delights of having Muslims living in a western country. Threats to churches, the rape gangs, the inevitable terrorist attacks, increased crime in other areas of life. All foreseeable if people and politicians had bothered to learn about the evil and hate filled nature of islam, but, alas, most people and politicians have been far too slack to do so. islam brings nothing but trouble wherever it is allowed to go in the world.
