The video appears to have been scrubbed everywhere. That’s a shame, as it might have answered some questions, or at least suggested some answers. The first question is: did the student who tore the Qur’an offer any explanation for his or her actions? A Muslim student says: “I felt heartbroken because the the reason we had” the Qur’ans “on display was for people to gain knowledge about Islam.” Yet those who desecrate the Qur’an generally do so because they know what’s in it, including its calls for violence against unbelievers, its misogyny, its hatred, and all the rest, not because they don’t know what’s in it. I don’t like the idea of destroying the Qur’an; I would prefer that people read it and know what it says. But acts of this kind are always assumed to be motivated by ignorance and prejudice, and yet no one has ever even attempted to prove that assumption, maybe because they don’t want to have a public discussion of what the Qur’an really says.
Also, it would be interesting to know whether or not the person who tore the Qur’an was a Muslim. This is not a preposterous suggestion; scroll through this link and you’ll see that a great many anti-Muslim hate crimes, including some that were widely touted in the establishment media, turned out to have been faked. Victimhood is currency in our Age of Absurdity. It brings media attention and governmental preferences. It can become quite lucrative. So if Canadian authorities were really interested in getting to the bottom of this, they would try to determine whether or not the perpetrator was Muslim. But they won’t, because even to suggest that, despite the large number of faked hate crimes, would be “Islamophobic.”
Another possibility is that the perpetrator is a non-Muslim from the Middle East or Nigeria or some other place where he or she has experienced Muslim persecution firsthand. But if that is the case, it will be ignored in Canada, and this incident used instead to buttress the government’s “Islamophobia” narrative.
“Student seen ripping pages from Qur’an ‘a concerning incident of Islamophobia,’ says Ontario school board,” CBC News, March 10, 2023:
Students at a high school east of Oshawa, Ont., are taking their concerns to the school board after a video appearing to show a student tearing up pages from a Qur’an and crumpling them up began to circulate last week.
School board officials say they became aware of a “concerning incident of Islamophobia” on March 3 at Courtice Secondary School after a student damaged a Qur’an earlier that day.
“While we cannot comment on individual disciplinary actions, the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board takes all allegations of discrimination seriously and is taking immediate steps to address this very serious incident,” said board chairperson Steve Russell and superintendent of education Jamila Maliha in a statement Thursday.
“The [board] will not tolerate acts of hate towards persons or symbols of faith and are resolute in our commitment to the values of equity, diversity, inclusivity and the dignity and humanity of every individual,” it added.
“We are committed to repairing the harm that has been caused to the Muslim community as a result of this incident.”…
In the video, a boy appeared to open the Qur’an, tearing out pages and crumpling them, then pointing both middle fingers at it.
Munawara Mazlomyar, a Grade 12 student at the school, said the incident left her “stunned.”
She said the school’s Muslim Student Association (MSA) held an event that day called “Ask a Muslim a question,” to engage with non-Muslim students about the religion and try and tackle Islamophobia.
“We had Qur’ans in English translation displayed because we wanted anyone who was interested in learning about our religion to be able to take it and read about it,” Mazlomyar said.
Mazlomyar said a student grabbed one of the Qur’ans on display and that video later emerged of the same student ripping and crumpling pages from it. She said the student also encouraged others to put the book down their pants.
“I was extremely upset. I felt heartbroken because the the reason we had them on display was for people to gain knowledge about Islam.”
Mazlomyar said as a visibly Muslim woman, the incident made her feel unsafe at the school.
Mazlomyar said students should have been made aware of the incident by school administration before finding out about what happened on social media or by word of mouth. She is now calling on the school and board to launch an educational campaign to counter Islamophobia and allow for classroom discussions on the issue.
Ontario’s Education Minister Stephen Lecce condemned the actions on Friday….
Lecce added that he is pleased that the government continues to fund the Muslim Association of Canada to help train staff and for students to counter Islamophobia.
The school board meanwhile says it will continue to consult community groups for feedback and support the students and staff affected.
“As part of our next steps in response to this issue, we have reached out to several community groups to work collaboratively, answer questions and concerns, and hear their suggestions about how to repair the harm that this incident has caused,” the statement reads.

Where’s the point in the students reading it? I’d put money on the ones that were on display in English had been sanitised to the nth degree in order to keep the evil truth of islam concealed from the ignorant.

Well, here’s a question that–I suspect–doesn’t get asked at those q&a events.
*What is the hijab’s PRIMARY purpose?
Per Qur’an 33:59, it’s a non-verbal expression of a Muslim woman’s “moral superiority” over so-called unbelieving women (which would include most of the world’s women).
O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused.
Make ’em tapdance.

How about this possibility…they were exercising their freedom of expression.
But that won’t cut it in Trudeau’s Canada.
I always laugh at how Canadians and Europeans think they have similar rights as Americans based on the Charter of Human Rights…but they don’t.
The difference between the First Amendment and any supposed protections conferred by the Charter is that Americans’ Constitutional rights are not given to them by the government, and hence cannot really be taken away by the government.
The Charter of Human Rights on the other hand is a set of so-called “rights” that are granted to citizens by the government. This means that they can just as easily be taken away by the government whenever they feel it necessary or when “the message” demands it.
To defeat the leftist/globalist/islamist cabal we must insist on American style rights that cannot be voided by tyrants when things aren’t going according to their plans. Your rights are inherent and not available to be canceled and you should insist on this fact before they are taken away completely.
How’s that Charter working out when it comes to “hate speech” or your right to self defense? I realize that America has had issues recently regarding this issue, from “vaccine” mandates to online censorship, but we still have the foundation of inalienable human rights to fall back on, while you don’t.
We need this to change if we truly want to defeat the enemies currently destroying our societies.

libertyORdeath,
In the United States, freedom of speech is hanging by a thread.
And we HAVE the First Amendment.

The Canadian children have also torn the Moslem “how to” manual of terrorism (quran 8:12 etc), misogyny, domestic violence, slavery etc, so much evil there, all thanks to “The Best Deceiver” (quran 3:54)
Well, such an abomination should not be in English or in Canadian schools, there are much better things to teach the children than being anti-Western, anti-Semitic and being well versed when terrorism should be practiced or misogyny, domestic violence, slavery and so on.
Anyway, this incident boils down to whom that terrible book belonged, if the owner tore it, or burnt it or whatever, THAT was his right! It is called the right of property over which “The Best Deceiver” should have no say at all. That right is compounded even further by the freedom of speech!
If anybody doesn’t agree, to the right to property or free speech, then they should be repatriated back to their totalitarian, misogynist, terrorist society.
To save us all this trouble, perhaps Moslem immigrants shouldn’t be allowed in to our free societies where women and men have equality and so many other things like free speech and right to property etc. which The Best Deceiver doesn’t agree with, so, in order for them to come in, respecting our values they should get first proper treatment for to scrub off the evil indoctrination including all the terrible things which are in the abominable quran which are against our law which should have unquestionable supremacy over “The Great Deceiver” (quran 3:54).
