“This is a global problem, it shows there are no adequate or safe ways for people fleeing a conflict or persecution to come to Mexico and the United States, they have to depend on organized crime.”
Well, gee, that’s a shame, but exactly what conflict or persecution are they feeling in Mauritania?
“These groups of migrants are considered vulnerable because of the language barrier and other factors including religious persecution.”
What religious persecution do they face?
Above all, why did these men travel to the border? What did they intend to do?
“13 Mauritanian migrants mistakenly arrested in Tijuana,” by Salvador Rivera, Border Report, March 2, 2023:
TIJUANA (Border Report) — Tijuana police detained 13 migrants from the small Muslim nation of Mauritania when officers raided a hotel earlier this week.
Migrants from this Northwest African country, officially known as the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, have rarely, if ever, been encountered in Tijuana, according to migrant advocates.
Initially, police said officers became suspicious when they saw a few men scatter and run into the property of the Hotel Jacuzzys.
The men were taken into custody, and their booking photos were released to the media.
After translators were called in, it was determined that the men were migrants who were being forced to stay at the hotel by a smuggling organization.
“It was a case of a rescue,” said Soraya Vazquez, a human rights activist in Tijuana.
Vazquez says the police department did not handle the situation properly….
“This is a global problem, it shows there are no adequate or safe ways for people fleeing a conflict or persecution to come to Mexico and the United States, they have to depend on organized crime.”
The 13 Mauritanian nationals have been turned over to the National Institute of Migration in Tijuana and are being detained because they have yet to prove they entered Mexico legally.
“These groups of migrants are considered vulnerable because of the language barrier and other factors including religious persecution,” Vazquez said….

Mexico: 13 migrants from Islamic Republic of Mauritania detained in border town
……………………………………………..
That Mauritanians are illegally entering the US from Mexico is chilling. This is not how actual refugees would behave.
Keith O says
Hey GI, just as a side note/verification of your assessment of the situation being “Chilling”.
When I was in the army we would do interrogation resistance training.
The photos of the guys when they were processed hard the same “hard bastard” body language about them.
I don’t even have to see the eyes to tell you these “refugees” have military training.

Why does the report say arresting them was a “mistake”?
And, they “were being forced to stay at the hotel”….by the smugglers?.
Enlarge and examine the photo….these mozlums don’t look like the type of people to be “forced” to stay some place against their will.
And in a “hotel” yet. How many “migrants” have been found suffocated, or dead from heat, or extreme cold, in the trailer of a semi truck? Now, how many have been found in danger in a hotel?
The entire thing stinks. And the vasquez person said it was a “rescue”…but if that’s the case, why did they “scatter and run”? Police, even in Mexico, wear police uniforms. If they needed to be rescued, why would they run?
And this “no adequate or safe ways.” This is always a complaint and an excuse given in order make it okay that they have come to break the laws.
The American Red Cross is handing out maps and instructions about how to safely cross the border, things to watch out for, contraceptives, where the U.S. cities are, and how to successfully break the Laws.
A Fed court has ruled that biden’s orders on helping the hordes come in, is unconstitutional. But, will that stop him and the other corrupt lawbreakers in the government from inviting and allowing the illegal crossings?
These 13 look very much like they could create terror given the opportunity. If they had crossed over the border before being arrested, they may have just approached a Border Patrol officer because that’s the way new illegals are doing, because they know they are likely to just be released into the country, as opposed to being caught and sent back.
How many from that mozlum infested island have already made it into AZ or NM or Texas? How many are part of the millions of illegals who have crossed since Jan. 2021?

“A Fed court has ruled that biden’s orders on helping the hordes come in, is unconstitutional.”
Yes.
But Biden doesn’t feel that he has to follow any “stinkin’ Constitution”.
somehistory says
That’s certainly true, James.
biden, bo, clinton, schumer, pelosi, jackson, etc., all ignore the laws they don’t wish to obey, a.k.a. break those laws, and then whine when others just complain about their refusal to follow the law.
Texas is passing a law saying they can turn “migrants” back at the border. If biden and crew don’t have to abide by the Constitution and the ruling of courts favoring that document, then why should the States?
When biden and his cohorts in crime refuse to protect the “people,” then it should be hunky-dory for the States to protect their citizens.
If Washington, Jefferson and the other guys in the babyhood of this nation had foreseen what the fake federal government would do regarding this issue, likely they would have put something in about this being ‘states rights’ to protect their citizens.

Let’s hope Mexico doesn’t release them, or they will end up in America. And I agree with Keith they look like trained military personnel not refugees.
