New in PJ Media:
Mitch McConnell has fallen at a hotel in Washington and is currently in the hospital. Two questions immediately spring to mind, neither of which have answers at this point: is this the end of the dreary McConnell era of establishment Republican Me-Tooism? And is there some karmic relationship between Mitch’s fall and his throwing Tucker Carlson under the bus and affirming the Left’s bogus Jan. 6 “insurrection” narrative?
We know little at this point about what is going on with Mitch. John Bresnahan of Punchbowl News tweeted late Wednesday night:
@LeaderMcConnell has been hospitalized following a fall at a DC hotel. Per a McConnell spokesman: “This evening, Leader McConnell tripped at a local hotel during a private dinner. He has been admitted to the hospital where he is receiving treatment.” The 81-year old McConnell was at an event at the Waldorf Astoria DC when he fell, according to our sources. We have no further information on the extent of McConnell’s injuries or his prognosis.
David Popp, Mitch’s obfuscation manager, uh, that is, communications director, stated: “This evening, Leader McConnell tripped at a local hotel during a private dinner. He has been admitted to the hospital where he is receiving treatment.”
That’s all. Nothing to see here.
Whether or not Mitch recovers fully and resumes his role as the leader of the Democrats’ controlled opposition, there ought to be a lesson in this for him: when people get very old and frail, they begin to be susceptible to falling, and those falls can be deadly. Maybe it’s time for Mitch to retire to his Old Kentucky Home.
This is, after all, not the first time this has happened. Newsweek reported Thursday morning that “in 2019, the 81-year-old suffered a shoulder fracture after falling outside on a patio at his home in Kentucky.” There are going to be more falls. Is this octogenarian really up to carrying out his serious and solemn duties as the water carrier for Chuck Schumer? What if he trips again while carrying one of the Democrats’ corrupt, pork-laden 1200-page programs for shafting the taxpayer yet again? That thing could fall on Mitch and cause serious damage.
Mitch McConnell is exactly nine months older than Old Joe Biden. He has been a member of the United States Senate since the waning days of Ronald Reagan’s first term, when Madonna’s “Like A Virgin” was at the top of the pop charts. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was leading the Los Angeles Lakers to the NBA championship. People were streaming into theaters to see Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop. McConnell is a key member of the Washington gerontocracy whose senior member, 89-year-old Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-California SSR), was hospitalized last week. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) is also 89. Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who still wields considerable influence, is 82. McConnell’s boss Chuck Schumer is 72.
There is more. Read the rest here.

If men can become women and women can become men and if Madonna can buy herself a new face then old Mitch can probably buy himself some new legs and keep his job indefinitely. Even the dead and those with brain damage can be elected to public office in the USA. Plus, the more Mitch can make himself out to be a victim the better his chances are of keeping his job. If he lives long enough and completely loses his mind maybe he can even become President some day.

Apparently he suffered a concussion the implications of which can be very debilitating especially for some one of advanced years.
Electing people of advanced age to demanding positions should be done with caution. It’s hard to imagine Biden in a second term for that reason and perhaps Trump as well.
Anyone who says he’s doing as much at 80 as he was at 40 wasn’t doing much at 40.

You mean like Biden?

Sure. It’s hard to see him handling a second term.
But he is not alone.

Imo, he’s too corrupt to admit he’s part of the over-the-hill gang, and needs to just go quietly into the night, along with the chinese who pay him big bucks.
It takes honesty and humility to admit when one is no longer able to do physical things, and maintain a mental acuity. mitch moccunel is neither honest nor humble.
Did I misspell his name? I don’t care if I did. I have no respect for this creature. I’d like to take back whatever my part has been in paying him to “govern” the rest of us.

There was a time he was a hero – the 90s. That’s when he opposed McCain-Feingold, which was really problematic in terms of its assaults on the First Amendment. But since then, he’s morphed into something really ugly. Only achievement he did in the last few years was in the courts, but for that, he may just as well have been the head of the Judiciary committee, rather than the Senate Majority leader
However, the real problem in the senate is not him. It’s all those RINOs – not just Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski, but a whole bunch of senators – around 15 – who voted w/ McConnell for the budget bill before the Speaker’s election in the new House. There’s a whole lot of GOP senators that need to be purged

Mitch hurt himself at what is a former Trump Hotel. Karma? Perhaps. I am usually a sympathetic guy but as hard as I try I cant muster any sympathy for Mitch. If Mitch puts Americans first he may be able to garner some sympathy from me. Nah, what am I thinking, Mitch would never do that.

There was a time he actually did — like when he opposed McCain-Feingold! How I miss that Mitch!

Time for him to exit stage LEFT. A “concussion” doesn’t usually require more than an overnight stay. What did his CT show? Why are they keeping him? Was there any bleeding or injury to the skull/brain? We have the same ‘black out’ of crucial medical info about Joe Biden, i.e., no disclosure of brain pathology. Both will undoubtedly have cortical atrophy.
