That Pakistan has never treated its non-Muslim population justly, and often not even as human, let alone as full citizens of the country, is a truth that is globally known, but not officially acknowledged. Hindu girls and women receive treatment worse than cattle in that country; they can be abducted, raped, converted, and forcibly married, and the courts remain dedicated to protecting these abductors and providing them with legal impunity and encouragement. In February, 14-year-old Meena Bhatt, a minor Hindu girl, was abducted by Syed Salim Shah, Mukhtiyar Shah, Aziz Rehman, and others. The girl’s father lodged a First Information Report (FIR) with police for kidnapping. As the Sindh Child Marriages Restraint Act bars the marriage of individuals below 18, the court ordered an age determination test for the victim. The girl’s family produced evidence that the girl was born in 2009, but couldn’t convince the court. The medical board assigned by the court observed the case and “determined” the girl’s age to be between 17 and 18. Based on this “scientific evidence,” the court ruled that Meena be handed over to her “husband.” We have reported on such crimes multiple times in the past, and as the trend suggests, such reports will only become more frequent in the coming days.
However, in one of its new and unique ways of tormenting the Hindus, Pakistan has now denied the religious minority water and shelter. Members of the Hindu Meghwar community in Chapar Khoso village in Sindh’s Tharparkar district were first denied access to water, and then driven out of their village by crowds of local Muslims led by Raju Khoso and Sikandar Khoso.
Following the forced eviction, Hindus, including women and children, were compelled to seek refuge in the scorching open area outside the local police station. Members of the community also tried to reach out to the authorities to register a FIR, but to no one’s surprise, they were offered no cooperation and were left in absolute despair. While it is not rare or unheard of for such discriminatory acts to be directed towards religious minorities in Pakistan, denying access to necessities such as shelter and water infringes upon basic human rights. There is no excuse that could possibly defend or justify such inhumanity.
This incident highlights the necessity of raising awareness and greater sensitivity towards religious and ethnic minorities in this Islamic country. For decades, the apathy and lack of concern displayed by various Pakistani regimes have led to increased violence against religious minorities. The Pakistani authorities have been indifferent to the security and protection of vulnerable groups, and the dysfunctional justice system, with misplaced priorities, has repeatedly refused to hold perpetrators accountable for their acts of violence. As the administration and authorities paid no heed to the plight of these homeless victims, some local activists and reporters contacted Hindu women who narrated how they were evicted from their homes by enraged Muslims.
The Tharparkar district lies adjacent to the borders of India; it is known to be drought-prone. It is also home to the largest section of the Hindu population in Pakistan. Of all districts in the Sindh province, Tharparkat records the lowest human development index, which speaks volumes about the neglect of the Hindu population by Pakistan’s government over the years. Hindus in this region belong to marginalized communities including Meghwar, Bheel, Jogi, and Kolhi. Not only does the lack of good governance in this desert area make their lives miserable, but the continuous violation of their human rights, as well as bonded labor, land grabbing, abduction and the forcible conversion of young girls, as well as the suicide of Hindu youth driven by unemployment are also common there.
Pakistan’s representatives continue to make false claims at the United Nations of Muslims being targeted in Kashmir, and remain blind to the barbarity that is being played out in their backyards. Propagandists work overtime to establish a fake narrative of Muslim victimization worldwide and cover up the violence that some Muslims perpetrate in every country with a Muslim majority. While they say Pakistan was created and founded on the principles of Islam, it would not be incorrect to rephrase the sentiment as “Pakistan was created and founded on the fundamentals of hate and bigotry towards everyone who doesn’t follow Islam.”

So many cases of this kind. Now it is time for the PM of India, to intervene and do the needful at the earliest.

No, the BJP has forgotten what brought it to power. Somebody – I beleive it was Savarkar – who said that a time will come when the Congress will become the Muslim League and the RSS will become the Congress. That’s precisely what has now happened
India desperately needs a new Hindu party that will roll back everything that the Congress, and frankly the Brits before them, installed to prevent the deislamization of India. Since it takes a while to build a new party, the only short term way to do it is to split the BJP into a secular vs a Hindutva party

islam obviously (straight from that book of hate for non-Muslims, the Koran) has a disgusting, totally intolerant attitude towards non-Muslims although Pakistan does seem to be a particularly loathsome country, full of hardline Muslim scum. What annoys me is the way that, in our western countries, Muslims are treated so well and tolerated so completely when, in any country where Muslims have power, there is so little tolerance shown by Muslims towards non-Muslims. Pakistan definitely seems to be a country that would be a nightmare for any non-Muslims.
