That’s one way to win a debate.
“Pastor Attacked after Invitation to Christian-Muslim Debate,” Morning Star News, February 28, 2023:
NAIROBI, Kenya (Morning Star News) – A pastor invited to participate in a religion debate by mosque leaders in Uganda was attacked after his arguments ostensibly led to 37 Muslims accepting Christ, sources said.
Muslims who apparently converted to Christianity were among those who assaulted Pastor Arthur Asadi Babi, 42, on Feb. 10, he said. He was hospitalized for eight days in Mbale city’s Nakaloke ward with injuries to soft tissue in his neck, a broken leg, a bone fracture in his hand and swelling of his private parts, said Bishop Michael Okia of the area’s Living Stream Church of Christ.
“We received an invitation letter from the sheikh of Nakaloke mosque, who organized the debate in Nakaloke ward in Mbale city,” Okia told Morning Star News. “I decided to send Pastor Babi to debate with the Muslims because of his scholarship skills in the Koran and the Bible.”
Pastor Babi and a team of Christians began participating in the second week of the two-week debate, on Feb. 9, and on the second day he presented a defense of Christianity using the Koran with responses from the Bible on the uniqueness of Christ as the Son of God and the only way to God the Father, the bishop said.
“On Feb. 10, at the end of his defense, the pastor made an appeal for a response from the audience to believe in Christ,” Okia said. “Surprisingly, 29 adults and 8 children gave their lives to Christ Jesus, all Muslims.”
Pastor Babi said he was attacked immediately after apparently leading the Muslims to Christ.
“From nowhere, Muslims started throwing stones, and then with sticks and clubs attacked me by beating me, including the new Muslim converts who had embraced the Christian faith,” Pastor Babi told Morning Star News. “I was hit on my right hand and left leg while some tried to strangle me. One Muslim kicked me and injured my private parts, which is still in pain to date.”
A church member, Ben Yasiini, was able to rescue him and also suffered minor injuries, a tearful Pastor Babi said, adding that he was able to identify two of the assailants.
The pastor received treatment at Grace Medical Center in Mbale and was discharged on Feb.18.
Converting from Islam seven years ago, Pastor Babi is a married father of six children, ages 3 to 17.
As his church is only four kilometers from the mosque, Okia said leaders are still assessing whether to file a police report….

I wish all Muslims would accept Jesus of Nazareth as devout Christians see Jesus. Were this to occur, mankind as a whole would be far better off, almost infinitely better off immediately.
Between Jesus and Mohammed, there is a stark difference to the detriment of Mohammed. Theology aside (huge aside I know), just on historical, common sense and basic ethical grounds, the choice here should be obvious to all. That it still is not, and precisely to the extent that it is not, mankind suffers.
Yes, this is the “Islamic legacy” and I for one will not make any defense for it. Indeed, I hold it in contempt as should all those who embrace liberty, equality under the law, women’s rights, the capacity to apologize for wrongdoings and many other good things. Just look at the parasitic and forever retrograde state of the Islamic sphere of mankind in our time for confirmation of this conviction of mine. It’s a conviction easily confirmed for all those not woke, afraid or evil.
Meanwhile, in Uganda and so many other places, Islam continues to show its true colors. And all of its colors are ugly through and through when Islam in its “full glory” reveals itself. Minus violence enshrined and codified in Islam, examples being 4.52.220 and 9.84.57 in the Bukhari Hadith, Islam in a truly free society would make many converts—to other faiths like Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism. This is Islam’s true legacy if truth be told, which so often in the human condition here on Earth it is not.
Yes, Islam and terrorism are tied at the hip. Started with Mo. Still going on most everywhere. For instance, in Uganda. And so I say shame on all willing adult Muslims. You have so much to answer for. So much.

100% and thank you, Wellington.
The Apostle Peter said Christians should always be ready and willing to make a defense for our Faith.
You make an excellent defense for a faith you see from the outside.

Coming from you, somehistory, it is a very high compliment you have paid me and I thank you for it.

and, Wellington, you have returned the compliment. If more people could see things as you dol it would be a better world.

Joe Biden speaking on St. Patrick’s Day on March 17, 2023 was trying to be funny when he said “I might be Irish but I’m not drunk or in jail. “
The St. Patrick ’s Day year before he public said “I might be Irish but I’m not stupid.”
First, many people would strongly disagree that Biden isn’t stupid.
Second, some people might even take offence to such attempted “jokes” by Biden saying that such statements aren’t humorous but in poor taste and inappropriate.
In all fairness, to dummy Joe considering his feeble mentally level and the low intelligence of that demented old man. Such “jokes” are rather witty for that dim witted clown.
For as it has been said, “When a donkey flies you don’t blame him for not staying in the air very long.”

At ;east some of the new “converts” didn’t really. They may have liked what they heard, but they had no “root” in them, so when the “heat of persecution” came to them, their new faith withered.
Matthew 13
“20 Some seed fell on the stony ground. That is like a person who hears the message and right away he is glad to hear it.
21 But it does not go down deep in his heart. He believes it for a short time. When trouble or a hard time comes because of the message, he stops believing.”
I’m truly glad that the pastor, so young in Bible Truth and knowledge, has survived. He has been tested as if by fire and this should make him stronger as literal fire makes metal stronger.

It would be interesting to know how many of the “converts” were women.
Islam offers a man control and superiority over his wife(s), daughters, etc.
Christianity offers a woman equality and a loving husband if he follows, “God is love”.
I would posit that the defense of Islam, in a man’s mind, has little to do with Allah and far more to do with keeping his superior status over females. This violence experienced within the church in the article was a direct consequence of Muslim men losing control.

Pastor Babi should come to the USA and preach here in our colleges, universities, the halls of government, and to the main stream media. We could sure use him.

Let him recover from his injuries, before he is beaten again.
