“Prevaling acts of Islamophobia, such as the burning of the Holy Quran, are not the result of post-9/11 concerns that stemmed from stereotypes of Muslims as terrorists. Instead, the majority of Muslims in the countries where they reside as minorities experience intense prejudice and hostility, which is the root cause of these attacks on Muslims worldwide.”
What is the basis for this claim, which amounts to saying that people aren’t concerned about Islam because of 40,000 jihad attacks since 9/11 and all the other crimes done in its name and in accord with its teachings? What is the proof of this? Rasmus Paludan has made it clear that he has been burning the Qur’an in protest against the violence that the book advocates. But those who speak out against “Islamophobia” never acknowledge that, as it would interfere with their narrative about how Muslims are the victims of irrational prejudice.
“UN marks first ever International Day to Combat Islamophobia,” Global Village Space, March 11, 2023:
Speaking at a special event sponsored by the UN in the General Assembly Hall to honor the first-ever International Day to Combat Islamophobia, speakers emphasized the need for effective action in the face of escalating anti-Muslim prejudice, violence, and intolerance.
The UN General Assembly unanimously approved a resolution in March 2022 designating March 15 as the International Day to Combat Islamophobia. Pakistan presented this resolution on behalf of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The initiative that resulted in the declaration was launched in 2020 by former Prime Minister Imran Khan. About two billion Muslims worldwide, who originate from every continent, “reflect humanity in all its magnificent diversity,” according to the UN Secretary-General. Nonetheless, they frequently encounter discrimination and prejudice just because of their religion. In addition, Muslim women may experience “triple discrimination” on account of their religion, race, and gender.
Speaking at a special high-level event at the UN headquarters in New York to highlight the International Day to Combat Islamophobia, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said that the global community should not underestimate the resentment and sense of injustice that the Muslims felt when faced with deliberate acts of Islamophobia, like the burning of holy books….
Prevaling acts of Islamophobia, such as the burning of the Holy Quran, are not the result of post-9/11 concerns that stemmed from stereotypes of Muslims as terrorists. Instead, the majority of Muslims in the countries where they reside as minorities experience intense prejudice and hostility, which is the root cause of these attacks on Muslims worldwide.

Or…. the Suspicion of Islam could come from the Christians MURDERED in the name of The Quran, EVERY SINGLE DAY…
Plus – some of us (ahem) are Greek, Armenian or Assyrian Christian descendants of those MILLIONS of Christians MURDERED by the Islamics for being CHRISTIANS in what is now Turkey.
But yes, let’s worry about people being “islamophobic”… What do you call it when it’s a RATIONAL FEAR based on REALITY?

Totally agree Chris!

Chris,
Just an FYI:
Islam teaches hatred of, and superiority over, the followers of ALL other religions and those who adhere to them, and–as we know–even the “wrong” Muslims.

‘But yes, let’s worry about people being “islamophobic”… What do you call it when it’s a RATIONAL FEAR based on REALITY?’
Exactly. These ignorant cretins are simply bundling all opposition to their excuse for a ‘creed’ together because (a) they probably don’t know what the term ‘islamophobia’ really means and (b) such is their arrogant self-absorption and disrespect for anyone but themselves that they probably couldn’t care less why others reject their ‘faith’. By the way, I disagree with the use of the word ‘fear’ when challenging the use of the term ‘islamphobia’. I view islam as a detestable, criminal primeval fraud worthy of total contempt only. And I view the people who follow it in the same way since I fail to see how consciously subscribing to such an ideological abortion could render them otherwise. .

Absolutely.
The number of Christians and other non Mulsims murdered and otherwise abused by Muslims around the world but notably in Africa, vastly outways any suffering caused to Muslims, which is so rare they often have to make it up, as recounted by R Spencer
DavidW says
Perhaps the “islamophobia” results from non-muslims understanding what the Quran actually says concerning the unbelievers (otherwise known as infidels/kaffirs).

Islamophobia isn’t even a word. We tend to forget that this political ideology took more Europeans took Black Africans into slavery than the Atlantic Slave Trade. It also took around 100Million Black Africans into slavery. Then there are the Hindus as well. Major Muslim countries only gave up slavery in, 1963! Mauritania, not until the 1980’s. However, the good news is several years ago they re-introduced their Sex Slave Markets. Libya has rejoined this vile trade.
On youtube, please watch: Apostate Prophet’s post of just a few months ago – “In 50-60 years we will conquer & enslave you.”
It is the senior Islamic Scholar, in the USA, clearly stating that the females will be taken as Sex slaves & the bulk of the males will be killed. Their ONLY Salvation either, convert to Islam, or pay the Jizyah Tax. [that ranges from 30-90% + of one’s wealth. also, one had better feel subdued as you hand it over. Otherwise it’s throat cutting time!
Why do we bother giving credence to this pathetic bullshit?
PRCS says
It is, indeed, a nonsensical term.
A phobia is an irrational fear of many things (flying or ladybugs for example).
Islam, a totalitarian theocracy, is just an ideology, albeit an evil one, which cannot physically harm others.
The Yezedis, and so many others who’ve been intimidated, harmed, injured, or killed by Muslims, in compliance with that ideology, have a rational fear of them.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
It also punctures the argument of those who claim that they are anti-islam but not anti-muslim. Which a lot of people in the earlier days of the FaithFreedom movement of Ali Sina and others used to do, although that’s declined a lot over the last decade
If islam merely had ~100 followers like Branch Davidian, nobody would bother about it. Reason we do is that there are 1.8 billion of them worldwide. Note that I’m tossing nominal muslims into that number: those who are closet apostates need to stand up and openly apostatize to be counted as a part of the Kafir population
PRCS says
Due to social pressure, and the possibility of violence from other Muslims, even in the West, it’s difficult for Muslims to apostatize, although that is slowly changing.
I like Ex-Muslims of North America (https://exmuslims.org/) and its WikiIslam page.

I would call that “Islamorealism”

A long time ago, I would see mozlums shrouded in the long cloaks, everything covered but the men’s faces, In movies and history news reels.
The only thoughts I recall were questions about why they dressed as they did, scurried down dark alleyways and didn’t smile. I knew nothing about islam and didn’t give any brain time to thinking these people were a danger to me.
Before 9/11, back in the ’89’s, I met some mozlums and saw that they were arrogant and rude. In August, 2001, I came to understand that at least some of them could be a danger to me and mine.
I don’t have any *fear*….real or irrational…of islam. I know what my God says about the devil’s evil and Trust Him to keep His promises through Christ.
But, I don’t want anything to do with the devoted mozlum or his evil…and quite stupid…beliefs. Many, numbered at least in the thousands, pose a danger to each other and to the rest of humanity. These devout lust to rape and murder.
I don’t “suspect” this; I know it.
And this dislike of their belief system stems from **knowledge** of what they learn, what they are taught and has nothing to do with what people think when the word “prejudice” is used.
Prejudice? Only because they wish me and mine the worst harm they could inflict. Through the use of terror

I am Islamophobic and proud of it.
I hate the doctrines of Islam.
But I do not hate any Muslims or any person.

I do. I hate them with perfect hatred. (Psalm 139:22)
gregbeetham says
Rest assured they hate you if you aren’t a Muslim, being a kaffir you are less than a maggot to them and are just waiting for the day when they can treat you accordingly. For the present they suffer your presence with difficulty, Muslims haven’t changed in this regard for more than a thousand years and we in the West ignore the historical record of genocidal Islamic conquest across vast areas of the world and it still going on today and our response is still the same, be nice to Muslims, that will work.
Islam by itself doesn’t murder people; Muslims do, because they obey the doctrine, Islamobhobia, what a load of horseshit, they play the victim card and conduct deception to further the cause of Islam as they are required to do, as they have always done.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
No, that is a fatuous argument. The only reason that islam exists – in any real sense – is b’cos muslims exist – all 1.8 billion of them. I don’t hate them, but I don’t trust them either. I do what I can in life to avoid them in every turn in my life, even if people close to me don’t
The “I-hate-islam-but-I-love-muslims” is the stupidest line ever pushed by the anti-islam movement. As I said above, had there only been a 100 of them, we wouldn’t have paid any more attention to them than we did in 1993 to the Branch Davidians of David Koresh
PRCS says
“The only reason that islam exists – in any real sense – is b’cos muslims exist – all 1.8 billion of them.”
Correctomundo.
Without Muslims: no Islam.
Jim says
The problem is that when Islam moves in, it tries to propagate sharia and make it the dominant law for society. Muslims may think of this as virtuous, but it is not so innocent if Christians, Jews and Hindus do not want the ideology of Islam forced on them. That is the problem. Resistance to shariais not phobic or prejudicial or racist, it is the natural response to a real threat. Some Muslims do not try to push their religion on others, but enough of them do. And the ones who do not directly do so may contribute funding or moral support to the pushers.

This is the same type of thinking that if you Google “Jihad Watch” it describes this site as a “conspiracy site.” A site that reposts actual happenings & real press releases as a conspiracy site? That’s because anything that doesn’t fit the left wing narrative now is not acceptable to them & therefore must be just conspiracies. They close their eyes & ears to anything they don’t like, even if it’s true,

LAW
cause harm to (a state of affairs)
Everyone here knows islam teaches its followers to harm us and everyone we care about.
PRCS says
As it’s impossible to determine who–in a group of Muslims–will actually carry out Islam’s hateful edicts, best to just ignore them as much as possible.
kq6kq6kq6 says
We need to guard against Islamophobia because we don’t want what happened to the Muslims at the World Trade Center and at the Pentagon by the Christians on 9/11/01 to happen again.
Wait a minute. This is all wrong.
Deodata says
This just reinforces mine and Trump’s thinking, the UN is not impartial, Muslims sit on human rights committee, every decision is made in favour of Islam. This just prove how far and wide the ultimate goal of Islam’s world domination. How long will it be until the west wake-up? Hopefully not too late for the sake of the human race.
OLD GUY says
Islamophobia the promotion of false propaganda to offset Islam’s violence and murder of Christians and Jews world wide. The UN has this totally wrong, we should be talking about the evils of Islam and stopping the daily killings by muslims/islamic followers.
