Good episode
I wonder where the Guardian gets the idea that they are more of experts on islam than the Taliban, which lives and breathes islam. Usual Western know-it-alls who know more about any subject than the subject matter experts on those subjects. It’s revealing that neither sunnis nor shi’a are any more tolerant than each other on women’s education
It’s good that you brought up surah 18 and that character ‘Khidir’, who wantonly murdered a boy b’cos his parents were pious muslims. This needs to be hammered out whenever these ‘honor killings’ are discussed, as well as the laws in several muslim countries that have reduced penalties for such crimes. On the question of honor killings done by non-muslims, the only ones I’m aware of are cultures adjacent to muslims, such as Sikhs and other communities in the neighborhood of Pakistan
It”s grimly funny how all these prosecutors throughout Europe can’t find motives when muslim thugs in various places scream ‘Allahu Akbar’. Maybe they should turn it over to AI systems that are not pre-programed to rule out jihadist or islamic motivations for crimes. And stop flooding mental-health facilities w/ muslims who claim that they’re acting based on islamic dictats. As David pointed out towards the end of the program, their statements tell nothing about whether they were really jihadists or mentally ill
On Bangladesh, I know you don’t get to every story, but the one where the muslim who planted a quran in a Hindu pandal and started riots against Hindus getting sentenced for time already served was a major one. Certainly deserved a mention more than the anti-Ahmadiya action. Both you & David are right about the Ahmadiyas, which is why I never sympathize w/ that group. The Pakistani Sufi who described Sikhs as dirty – not only are Sikhs not people of the book, but they’re not even as numerous as Hindus that they need to be given people of the book status
I doubt that any non-muslim African would have vandalized a church in France, given that there is no non-muslim community that would stand up for them. It’s notable that the name of the vandal wasn’t released. Had it been a non-muslim, or even someone whose name didn’t suggest that he was muslim, one can bet that it would have been mentioned in the news to eliminate any suspicion of muslims
I do think that where Britain, France, Canada et al are now are potential pitfalls for the US, if Dems remain in power. I do think, though, that the Second Amendment will protect a lot of Americans, whereas there is nothing like it in Europe or even Canada. Despite CNN or NYT telling people that allahu-akbar is perfectly innocuous at a crowded place. It really should happen in one of their offices 😈
On the CAIR petition, I do hope that Christian groups also opposed to LGBTQIA+ absolutely avoid touching CAIR w/ a bargepole, and fight separate battles against LGBTQIA+. That’s an alliance that any non-muslim groups – Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus…. can do w/o. There is no reason why any of the latter groups should endorse either qur’an or sunnah. None of the non-muslim groups prescribe execution of LGBTQIA+ people the way muslims do. David is absolutely right about this one
On Shamima Begum, I found David’s theory interesting that she murdered her 3 kids, and keeps killing them. I used to think that they were killed when ISIS was bombed by either the US or the Russians. But it’s pretty likely that if she didn’t like the guys she was previously assigned to, she took it out on her babies, and then claimed victimhood after ISIS was defeated at Raqqa. On top of that, islamically, she’s allowed to kill her kids, so ISIS could have done nothing against her
P.S. On the pronunciation of Begum, it’s pronounced ‘Beg-gum’: ‘beg’ as in beggar, and ‘gum’ as in chewing-gum.

In this video Robert Spencer to talk about that teenage girl who who put different colors in her hair and didn’t wear the hijab. which of course is a symbol the oppressive misogyny.of Islam.
For that harmless action those vicious Muslim tyrants in power in that cruel brutal murderous Islamic regime had her arrested , tortured and then murdered. To that done to her is more than wrong it’s an outright abomination.
In other words what they did to her was an horrific evil . This further exposes that heinous malicious evil men those Muslim despots in that Islamic regime actually are.
It’s also fiting to add that those in power in that oppressive cruel brutal Islamic regime of Iran which is vicious misogyny is horrendously cruel and murderously evil not only against women but even young girls.
As explained by a former Iranian Revolutionary Guard member who defected to the West and how now lives in America his book also informs the reader about the malicious and murderous affront girls in Iran’s Evin prison which reads that those in power ,the “paraded teenage girls in front in front of me as they led them to their deaths. These girls were barely out of their childhood, barely old enough to think of themselves, much less form thoughts against the state. They knew nothing about the machinations of politics. They were innocent in every sense of the word and certainty innocent of trumped –up charges that led to their imprisonment. Yet they suffered fates too brutal for even the most vicious criminal. ..Their few remaining moments of life had been filled with the level of abuse that few can imagine”
The author further states “They tortured and killed young girls, in God’s name and before their execution they raped them because they believed that if a girl dies virgin, she will go to heaven, and they wanted to deny them this reward.” [1]
This is as malice -filled cruel brutal l oppressive malicious and murderous Islamic regime of Iran, since it took power in Iran it thrives on installing fear on the Iranian people.
This is a blatant reminder of the wisdom in the periodical POOR RICHARD’S ALMANAC that was published by Benjamin Franklin in which was printed “Those who are feared are also hated.”
