Al Issa (which is how he himself spells his name, not “Alissa” as the establishment media persists in calling him, apparently so as to obscure his Arabic and Islamic identity), is now accused of “feigning” his mental illness.
That may well be what he is doing. He had, after all, stripped down to his shorts after killing these people. That indicates that he was expecting to be killed by police, and would be ready to meet the virgins in paradise. But once it was clear that he wasn’t going to be killed, he may have begun to feign mental illness in order to avoid prison and be confined to a much more lax mental hospital. “The Prophet said, ‘War is deceit.’” (Bukhari 4.52.269)
“Prosecutors to argue that accused King Soopers shooter is competent,” by Lanie Lee Cook, KDVR, April 6, 2023:
BOULDER, Colo. (KDVR) — A judge in the King Soopers mass shooting will let prosecutors make their case that the suspected shooter — who’s currently in a state mental health hospital — is “feigning” his condition.
Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa is charged with 115 counts in the March 2021 shooting that killed 10 people, including a responding police officer.
Prosecutors raised concerns that Alissa’s “lack of participation in the restoration process may be voluntary” and requested to show evidence of whether that’s the case, according to a ruling issued Wednesday by District Judge Ingrid S. Bakke.
Bakke found a “good faith” basis to order a restoration hearing in the case, where prosecutors will give evidence on whether Alissa is competent. It could happen as soon as April 28.
Alissa’s competency has been at stake since September 2021, when defense attorneys first raised the issue. He underwent three competency evaluations, was found incompetent to move forward with the trial and was moved to the Colorado Mental Health Institute of Pueblo, where he remains today.
His attorneys said in February that he has schizophrenia.
Prosecutors say they will give evidence from expert testimony and the hospital’s own reports in their effort to show that Alissa is competent.
While hospitalized, Alissa has undergone four competency re-evaluations, according to the judge’s ruling. The hospital found that he “is likely restorable to competency within the reasonably foreseeable future.”…

We as a people should be concerned that individuals with insane religious beliefs contradict our way of life and can not coexist with us. End this insanity asap!
Kenneth Phillips says
I agree 100%. If they don’t want to be Americans, we should just deport them.
PRCS says
In the case of those who’ve committed crimes in this country land are here–illegally–deport them after they ‘do the time’.
gravenimage says
Agreed, PRCS. Really, deporting these thugs after they have served their sentences should be basically automatic.

Of course he’s faking it. Anyone can pretend to not understand, or to gaze away, seemingly into the far distance. And when he’s speaking with the doctors, he can also pretend be insane and say nonsensical things.
He needs to be charged with capital crimes and sentenced to the death row.
maria says
Yes he should be centenced to death because he is a danger of humanity

This creep was sane when he planned the murders. He was sane when he committed the murders. He was sane when he had completed his goal.
Why should his mental state be important now? All he has to know is that he’s going to trial for his crimes and he’s allowed to keep his mouth shut.

To somehistory- Both of your comments are very accurate and thank you. I agree with them. And
I question any and all attorneys (remember: lawyers = loopholes)
who advocate for a “mental illness” designation to anyone who buys a weapon and murders
innocent people that he/she does not know, and these intended victims were not doing any civil harm. There is no rational reason to let off any suspect on a “mentally ill condition”. To me, that is a cop-out. This guy deserves a fair trial. But if he is found guilty, he should be shot by a firing squad, in my opinion.
somehistory says
thank you, Linde B. And I agree with your assessment. the laws on the books…and they may vary a little in different States…say a defendant who claims insanity, must prove he was insane at the time of the crime.
In my opinion, if he was sane at the time….and this creep most certainly was from all accounts…the only thing that should matter at trial is that he knows he can keep his mouth shut, and the jury…or judge…will decide his guilt or innocence. He doesn’t need to know how to read or write a brief; he doesn’t need to know all of the Laws that apply in his case; he doesn’t even need to be in the courtroom.
“helping with his defense,” usually just means that they allow their attorney to speak for them because they can’t really “help.” they agree with their attorney or they don’t, but this isn’t discussed in the courtroom for all to hear.
this mozlum creep needs to pay for the murders he committed. Sitting in a room looking out over the mountains, eating on taxpayer expense, and sleeping in a nice bed, is too good for him.

After a d decade or more of reading the content of jihad watch, I agree with most of the authors and commentators say, but I disagree with the fashion and the manner of how the contents are displayed, after all, we are brothers and sisters in humanity, our ultimate goal should be how to reduce and eliminate the savagery we are experiencing today, and how to make tomorrow a better day and above all, how to help ourselves and all humans to exit this misery of wars, famines, homelessness, billionaires vs starving children etc etc.
I agree with all of you that Islam is creating the miserable situation the middle east is experiencing, I know that Muslims are trapped in a matrix of Islam, they are so backward despite being extremely wealthy and well known for their contribution to science when they were not trapped in wahabism and salafism of today, please let us self educate ourselves and let’s adhere to the human species attributes such as human decency, dignity, integrity, compassion, empathy and other attributes that differentiate us humans from animals
🙏 Thanks 😊.

Peter–with all respect–how is prosecuting a mass murdering Jihadist inhumane? How does equally applying the law fail to adhere to decency, dignity, integrity, compassion, and empathy? It seems that caring about the victims should be at least as important as making excuses for the perpetrators.
Linde B. says
To gravenimage- Well stated. Thank you. People cannot make excuses for those who commit random murders.

Come on a terrorist claims to be insane and you believe him? Execute him and get it over with. Thats what he deserves.

Good to see some pushback against the idea that all Jihad terrorists are “mentally ill”.

Note the shooting was shortly before Passover at a supermarket known for its Kosher food section.
The MSM never pointed that out; the Jewish media did

It was a planed attack, I don’t buy the mental illness, thats just away out for these jihadist.
