Iran’s foreign minister to Jordanian counterpart: Israel ‘biggest threat’ to ‘Muslim ummah’

The Palestinian “resistance,” which is heavily funded by the world’s most prominent Shia regime, Iran, is rooted in Islamic expansionism and historic Islamic antisemitism. Recall also that in 2021, during Operation Guardian of the Walls, it was  Sunni Saudi Arabia that summoned the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to an emergency summit in support of the Palestinians. In the meeting, the OIC went to the United Nations to seek General Assembly support “to protect the Palestinian people.” There was no accountability, however, expected from the Palestinians. Saudi Arabia also recently hosted a top senior Hamas delegation. Saudi Arabia’s recent landmark rapprochement with Iran, brokered by China also indicates the unity that is being fostered between the two Islamic countries.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian is now emphasizing the unity of the “Muslim ummah,” and has openly expressed to his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi that Israel is the biggest threat to the ummah. He emphasized the “necessity for the existence of unity across the Muslim world in the face of the occupying regime, the need to cut the regime’s hands off the al-Aqsa Mosque’s compound in the holy occupied city of al-Quds’ Old City — which is Islam’s third holiest site —  and the importance of complete restoration of Palestinians’ rights.”

The Palestinian jihad has been raging even prior to the establishment of a Jewish state. The Arab response to the birth of Israel and its continued efforts to obliterate it, backed by the governing documents of major Palestinian organizations, further proved what the “resistance” was really about. The latest instances of the Muslim ummah drawing together and brazenly discussing their plans to destroy Israel must be seen in light of Iran being on the verge of a nuclear bomb.

Iran has formed a  friendship with Russia, is enjoying a new rapprochement with Saudi Arabia brokered by China, and is also reaping the benefits of the expansion of the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC). The INSTC partnership, of which Iran was a founding member, is a 4,474-mile corridor comprising of a network of railroads, highways and maritime routes that connects Russia and India through Iran.

Amid rising antisemitism, provoked by Palestinian propaganda, the world mostly focusses on the “Islamophobia” subterfuge, driven by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which controls the UN.

Iran considers the apartheid Israeli regime to be the “biggest threat” to the region and the international Muslim Ummah (Nation).

Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks on Thursday in a phone call with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi.

The Iranian top diplomat also laid emphasis on the necessity for the existence of unity across the Muslim world in the face of the occupying regime, the need to cut the regime’s hands off the al-Aqsa Mosque’s compound in the holy occupied city of al-Quds’ Old City — which is Islam’s third holiest site — , and the importance of complete restoration of Palestinians’ rights.

Since the start of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, the Israeli regime has conducted near-daily attacks on Palestinian worshipers at the holy compound, expelling hundreds of them.

The Israeli forces have also imposed severe restrictions on the entry and exit of Palestinians through the gates of the compound. Amid heightened tensions with Palestinian worshipers, Israeli settlers press ahead with their frequent incursions and provocative rituals at the holy site.

Turning to the issue of the bilateral ties, Amir-Abdollahian pointed to his visit earlier this year to Amman, and announced the Islamic Republic’s readiness for expansion of the level of relations and cooperation between the countries.

The Jordanian official, for his part, laid emphasis on his country’s support for regional peace and stability, and defense of the holy sites in al-Quds in the face of the Zionists’ acts of aggression.

He considered Iran to be “an important country in the region,” saying Amman attached “great importance” to further development of its ties with Tehran.

Safadi, meanwhile, welcomed the recent reconciliation agreement reached between Iran and Saudi Arabia under the auspices of China in Beijing….
