New in PJ Media:
After Audrey Hale, a woman who thought she was a man, murdered six people at a Christian school in Nashville, Tenn., Leftists hastened to tell us how victimized and marginalized people who are deluded or confused about their gender really are. It would have been easy to get the impression that a Christian had just murdered six “transgender” people rather than the other way around. But no Leftist went as far as Micah Louwagie, the pastor of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Fargo, N.D., who preached a sermon on Sunday likening Audrey Hale to no less a figure than Jesus Christ.
In understanding how anyone could make such a comparison, it’s important to note that Micah Louwagie is, like Audrey Hale, a woman who pretends to be a man, so it’s understandable that she would be sympathetic to Hale, but it also provided a fresh indication of the extent to which the Left’s gender madness today is a kind of ersatz religion, in which the people who are deluded into thinking that they are actually members of the opposite sex take the place of Christ as the sacrificial victim who suffers for the sins of others.
Louwagie began by reading an account of the crucifixion of Jesus from the Bible. This was odd, as one would expect that she would have rejected the Bible as homophobic, sexist, patriarchal, Zionist, and a host of other sins against the contemporary Left, but apparently Pastor Louwagie has a nuanced theology. She then immediately mentioned the Nashville shooting, saying: “Instead of focusing on ways this could’ve been prevented, such as gun control, a significant number of people have turned their attention to the shooter’s identity.” Yes indeed, because the shooter’s identity appears to have been an integral aspect of her motivation, but as far as Micah Louwagie was concerned, that was itself the problem.
“Some folks,” she continued, “have tried to focus on eradicating trans people as a solution, because they have been waiting, just waiting for an opportunity such as this. They’ve been waiting for a reason, any reason to stoke their hatred.” Louwagie was not alone in seizing upon a mass murder by a “trans person” as a pretext for claiming that there was some effort afoot to “eradicate” such people, but her comparison to Jesus was new. Fox News reported Tuesday that Louwagie likened “allies” who “betray” men who think they’re women and women who think they’re men to “Jesus’s disciples who fled when he was arrested.”

I think this one would be happier with Mo, who actually was bloodthirsty and of truly bloody hands and who valued men above all. Blasphemy and what will Lutherans do?

It is the Lutheran ELCA. If you go to their website, you will see the RIC and social justice filth. Christ is not at their center. I was a member of an ELCA church. They were founded on this. They hid all this well until they felt they didn’t have to anymore. God has left these churches.
Hoi Polloi says
Thanks, GI. Steve, some years back this site and others reported that ECLA was taking massive federal funds to push importation of muslims even as BHO was aggressively blocking intake of Christians from islamic countries where they were genociding said Christians. That’s so completely out of sync with my former experience with and memories of Lutherans. Similar things have gone on in my own denomination.

Agreed, Hoi Polloi.

Wonder, GI, if there’s a fund so she can go live in Mo’s world?

Slander against our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Comparing Him to a murderer; and comparing His disciples to ones who “betray.”
Only one disciple “betrayed” Jesus and that was Judas Iscariot. The other disciples ran away because they didn’t wish to die…and **they were not meant to die** that day.
Recall, Jesus asked Peter several times if the Apostle loved Him and when Peter answered in the affirmative several times, Jesus said, “When once you have returned, feed my sheep.”
A mass murderer held up as a person of sacrifice is a terrible lie.
Jesus died in order for all who believe in Him to live. His was a life of sacrifice and He was a Perfect Man. Not a pretender, not a liar, and not a lawbreaking murderer.
Those listening to such lies, such drivel, are having “their ears tickled.” (2 Tim. 4:3)
“3 For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires,” NASB
And as for claiming that the rest of us are “waiting, waiting” for a mass killing by one like her, that is slander of us all.. I only wish we could get up a class-action suit against her.
Those of us still with a “sound mind” are not “waiting” for any such thing and are horrified to learn of such things when they do happen.
This creature….not only pretending to be a male, but pretending to be Christian and pretending to be a shepherd of the flock, a teacher of God’s Word, will reap an unhappy harvest for her lies.
tim gallagher says
somehistory, surely a person could not come up with a weirder, more off the planet comparison than comparing Jesus with a murderer. Absolutely bizarre. It is one of the weirdest things I have ever heard.
somehistory says
Tim, I agree.
It’s really akin to the pope comparing all of the invading mozlum hordes to Jesus as an infant, being taken into Egypt and then back to Israel; saying that if we don’t accept the mozlum hordes, then we are rejecting Christ.
It seems that the majority of *preachers* are going with their own twisted ideas and versions of what is right and wrong while claiming to serve Jesus and His Father; and saying we should copy their actions.
Isaiah 5:20 comes to mind.
tim gallagher says
Yes, I am stunned by what this preacher has said. My reaction was, what has this guy been smoking? Jesus, such an extraordinarily peaceful person, and a multiple murderer. I wonder if the church authorities will step in and tell this preacher that he is way out of line because what he has said is so outrageous and wrong headed.
somehistory says
tim,
if they do step in and tell her to pack her bags, she’s fired, I’ll be very surprised.
It seems this time is one in which the crazy are in charge and the cowards are afraid of going against what they dream up to do and say.
Hoi Polloi says
Yes. Frances considering a fleeing family with the infant God sent to save the world, all directly threatened by a King’s wrath, as equivalent to hordes of military-aged men leaving behind all their women and children to, at best, benefits shop all over the developed world was one of the more ludicrous and blasphemous things he’s ever said.
James Lincoln says
Spot on, somehistory!
But I had to look it up…

While I agree that to elevate a mass murderer to a person of sacrifice is to lie, your assertion that Jesus Christ is OUR Lord and Savior is also untrue.
He’s not mine–as an atheist–nor does he rate that title amongst the billions of people–around the world–who follow beliefs other than yours.
Why ever would you think a lifelong follower of, say, Sikhism visiting this site would naturally recall what Jesus asked of Peter?
Addressing that Pastor’s idiocy is appropriate. Your proselytizing is not.
Frederick Middleton says
A church with ministers like her cannot survive for long, the congregations will move to real Christian churches.

Tucker Carlson had some comments on Christianity and the “trans” people.
Some group of pretending to know the Bible, Christ and what’s according to Christianity, opposed him, calling what he said, “lies”. The group is full of balderdash.
“Faithful America called his comments “hateful” and “untrue” and said that his rhetoric would incite more violence.
“That’s why today, we raise our voices to proclaim that our Christian family is better off for loving and listening to its trans people and theologies — and that we won’t let the far-right spread dangerous and unholy lies about them,”
“”As grassroots Christians, we reject these evil, malicious lies, and we proclaim Christ-like love and affirmation for the trans community. Trans people and pro-trans theologies aren’t just compatible with Christianity, but are at the very heart of our loving and inclusive faith.”
While Carlson argued that traditional Christians and trans people will continue to oppose each other, Faithful America listed several examples showing inclusivity, referring to churches that have ordained trans clergy and Christian organizations that promote trans affirmation, inclusion, leadership.”

I thought his remarks that Christians accept their God-given identities without question as the very core of the trans hate for Christians. as it’s the antithesis of what the trans community want for our children, to be very insightful.
somehistory says
He was certainly right about that. And also about the differences that can’t be reconciled and that more violence is ahead. More violence from the violent side, for sure.
the churches that are going along with the madness, are actually denying Christ.

It is not even so much that Audry Hale is “trans”, but that she/he/they/ze et al *is a mass murderer*, including of children. That is what is most shocking about this whitewash of evil.
somehistory says
Yes, g. Three innocent children and three of their teachers, also innocent, are dead at her hands. That is what matters most, and yet, so many have tried to make her out to be a hero of some kind because of her mental condition.
At one time, people like the ones defending her, comparing her to a victim and to Jesus, would have been tarred and feathered.
So much more has been made of her twisted mental state …a state that is abnormal, ill, and not something to be desired…than what has been said about the murdered victims.
One of the women killed, actually ran toward the shots she heard. How many people are aware of that?
And what about the *stories* of the dead children no one is telling?
And how are the other children, the survivors, coping with this?
Hoi Polloi says
Yes, this war on children waged by defending their slaughterers and pushing their indoctrination and mutilation is evil writ large.

Look, the woman cannot be a Lutheran Pastor, the woman is not transgender… both of these statements ‘fix’ the fraud put into motion by the transgender – woman Lutheran preacher fraud…
the religion cannot be changed – if you don’t like it you have to go start your own religion, from scratch, make the rules for your own religion… just like Luther and muhammad did.
of course no american or european cares enough to compel the operation of Law in a Lawful society; so, the mohammadans bribe and extort the state’s government employee politi’Kal ‘klass to let the muhammadans run wild while the meteor worshipers pretend to object to the transgender fraud.
taking over a religion and rewritting it is theft by assumtion and redefinition – which is also fraud. but then, no american or european, bbeing indoctrinated marxist toadies, care.
evil wins because there are no good Men.

somehistory says
You know, the Bible says that Jesus will “rule for a thousand years.” I’ve always thought the humans on earth…like hitler, and those now of which you write… have some idea that *they* are the ones who will “rule for a thousand years..*
None of them believe in Christ, and refuse to acknowledge Him, because they all imagine that they are gods and the thousand years belong to them.

When I was a young man I had a dream regarding who and what I wanted in life, and rightly so at the time. I thought my life would come to be what I dreamed of, and then it blew right up in my face. Since then I have been a cautious man regarding thoughts and dreams.

Nothing is as I “dreamed” when I was younger.
Today, my daughter told me someone had broken into our garage. I advised her to call the cops and not go inside until after they arrived…just in case.
we found out a bunch of our stuff we had there had been taken, and other things upended on the floor.
The officer took the report, asked some questions and told us that a couple of nights ago, some officers had been shot at just on the corner…which is only a house away from us.
I said we hear gun shots all of the time, and he said a lot of it is from the range…which is not far away from us.
He asked if we knew anyone who would do such a thing as shoot at police.
We don’t even know anyone who would rob us.
It’s been a stressful day.
I do continue to trust in the promises of Christ….one is of His “thousand year rule.” I even dream of it some times.
tgusa says
Terrible to hear my friend. Stay safe. The first line of defense would be to get a dog. A big one is a willing defender a small one is an alarm. It is said you never need a gun until you need a gun but if you dont have one when you need one it is too late.
somehistory says
Thank you. I’m trying to. Trying not to worry, but probably not much sleep tonight. When I told my son, his response was, “What kind of dog are you getting?”
When we moved in, I asked the leasing agent if the LL would permit a dog and he said maybe.
After we found the garage door with the broken locks and splintered wood, talked to the police officer, we found that effort had been made to get in the back house door. we know it was recently gouged wood because the new paint was disturbed.
we are definitely considering a dog, even though our lease says no pets. It’s been a long time since I fired a gun. I have a stun gun, but never have used it.
At least a dog controls its own teeth and I wouldn’t have to pull any triggers.
gravenimage says
So sorry that this happened to you, Somehistory.
But things are so crazy that I found myself envious that you live in a place where they still send officers out if you report a burglary. Here in Oakland they won’t do that–and you can’t even go down to a station–not even headquarters–to report a burglary. You have to submit an online report. (I suppose if you don’t have a computer or a cell phone or if you don’t speak English you can’t even do this).
A couple of months ago my husband was accosted by an armed robber–when he realized the gun was fake he stalled and the guy eventually ran away. He reported this online, and even though this was a potentially serious crime and still a threat to others, we just got an automatic email a couple of weeks later saying that the report had been received. It just really feels like we are on our own more than ever.
somehistory says
thanks, g. And I understand. so many places the cop are either treated like dirt, or they don’t care about doing their job properly.
I found out from the repair guy….who couldn’t repair the damage as it was too great…and my daughter found out from a taxi driver…that we are not the only victims in our area. The guy or guys with their crowbar(s) have been really busy.
The repair guy said several homes had been hit in the last few days and the driver said that an ATM had been destroyed…with the crowbar left behind. All of it in our neighborhood.
It’s only going to get worse. At least, we were not hurt, and stuff is just stuff. Even the pieces with sentimental value to us, are just stuff, and not enough reason to be too upset over the loss.
I” happy to hear your husband was not seriously hurt>.

This country guarantees the right to religious belief and to practice such within the confines of U.S. law. But somehistory’s constant references to Bible passages and her proselytizing are not what I–and likely others–visit JW for. There are many, many websites dedicated to it and I view that behavior here to be as inappropriate and insensitive to the beliefs of others as a Muslim’s dawa.
I don’t attend religious services, of course. But if you’re going to attend an Easter service tomorrow–enjoy the day.
