The Islamic State and Al-Qaeda are rapidly expanding their territory in the Sahel region of Africa. Cattle raiding is a lucrative business to fund the rapid Sharia expansion. Amputations have been taking place in Mali.
Violent jihad terrorist attacks on the Mali military and citizens alike have also escalated. Last October, Jihad Watch reported that the Islamic State in the Greater Sahara (Mali included) murdered hundreds of civilians and Mali forces, while thousands fled their homes. In February 2022, France stated that conditions were “no longer in place” to fight jihadis in Mali and withdrew its troops— a big win for ISIS and Al-Qaeda.
According to a European report:
The increasing geographical spread of these attacks and the increasingly sophisticated operating methods used by the terrorists that should alarm us.
This alert corroborated what France’s security chief Bernard Emie said when he warned that jihadis in Africa have an “internationalist” agenda, and are further planning jihad massacres in Europe.
Last week, jihadists affiliated to the Islamic State took over Tidermene in Mali, further isolating the regional capital of Menaka. They distributed Qur’ans to the population.
“Cattle raiding by jihadis soars in Mali, fuels conflict,” by Sam Mednick and Baba Ahmed, Associated Press, April 20, 2023:
BAMAKO, Mali (AP) — Ayouba Ag Nadroun was at the market in central Mali in March when Islamic extremists attacked his village, killing dozens of people and stealing about $10,000 worth of his cows and camels.
“We lost everything,” the 62-year-old told The Associated Press by phone from the Menaka region in the West African nation.
Cattle raiding by Islamic extremists is soaring at unprecedented levels in Mali, with jihadis linked to al-Qaida and the Islamic State group stealing millions of dollars’ worth of cattle to buy weapons and vehicles to fund their insurgency across the war-torn West African country and region below the Sahara Desert, known as the Sahel.
As jihadis gain control of more territory, looting is increasing and fueling conflict among already impoverished communities fighting to keep their families fed and alive, according to a recent report by The Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime….

In terms of long-lasting negative effects, when you take into account all of the deaths & suffering since its inception in the 7th century, I’d call Islam the worst single thing to ever happen in the history of the world.
It’s been poisoning minds for over a thousand years.
