The Fulani do indeed appear to be under the protection of the government. They seem to be able to carry out their jihad attacks with impunity, and never get impeded in any way from doing so.
“Soldiers protecting herdsmen killing us – Benue youths cry out,” by Sunny Green Itodo, Daily Post, April 16, 2023:
Some youths of Apa, Benue State have raised an alarm that operatives of the Nigerian Army posted to the area are protecting the killer herdsmen ravaging the local government.
Recall that suspected herdsmen recently murdered no few than 100 people in Apa local government area, including traditional chiefs.
The attack prompted a mass protest by youths of the area who blocked the Oweto-Loko/Abuja expressway.
A youth leader in the area, Ahmed Ocheje who spoke to journalists called on the Commandants of the NASME Barracks and 72nd Special Forces Battalion Makurdi to tell Nigerians what they sent their men to do in Apa….
He said, “I’m from another community called Ikobi. Since the 2nd of January, we are being attacked by herdsmen. Nobody from that community can reside in these places. We have been in the local government headquarters [Ugbokpo]. More than how many communities in Ikobi; Okpa, Olopka, Ijaha, Igbobi, Imana, and Akpete have been deserted? All these places I mentioned have been deserted. Which government will not protect its citizens?
“When the youths start shouting, [the government] will say we are making trouble. We are not making trouble. We have been protesting since morning, none of us has raised arms or cutlasses. But Fulani man will be rearing cows with a cutlass, AK47. Nobody will say anything. They [Fulani] have immunity that they are operating that we Nigerians don’t understand. If they are more powerful than other citizens, the government should tell us.
“In a community called Igbobi in this local government, a chief was killed and the hand that controls the [chieftaincy] beads was taken away by the same herders. And you want us to keep quiet? The government should tell us where we belong to. Are we also citizens of this country? I’m asking questions and I need answers. Soldiers will be around the communities but still the Fulani herdsmen will be coming to behead people. What are they here for? Are they protecting us? Are they guiding the communities? Or are they playing games with our lives?” he queried.

This conflict would make a good anti war film. But no one would produce it until the script was altered so that it was Christian herdsmen attacking, raping, murdering and kidnapping innocent “we worship Jesus too” Muslim farmers. Also there would have to be some kind of ending where Muhammad swoops down from the sky and gives all the Christian Fulani herdsmen mad cow disease. The script would also need a few despicable Jews and Shia Muslims who want to buy the Muslim farmer’s farms and convert them to dog racing tracks. Oh, and the setting is now Canada, not Nigeria since all Canadian farmers are racists according to “The Voice of Gabriel”, an internet forum for moderate Muslims.

I think it is awesome that Nigerian young people are speaking out about not being protected by their Nigerian government
and I pray 🙏 that something good comes from this for the Christians and non-Muslims of Nigeria. Every reader of JihadWatch.org
should pray about this and ask God Almighty (who is not Allah) to make better changes in Nigeria for Christians and non-Muslims. And remember this quote from American author Mark Twain:
“Loyalty to your nation – always.
Loyalty to a government – when it deserves it.” Thank you.
PRCS says
“Every reader of JihadWatch.org
should pray about this and ask God Almighty (who is not Allah)”
Hate to break it to you Linde, but not every JW reader/poster believes in “God Almighty”.
As an atheist, I won’t be praying to anyone/anything. M’kay?
Linde B. says
To PRCS- I defend your right to be an atheist because you have free will, as all humans do. But I do not understand why anyone is an atheist. If you believe in “The Big Bang” Theory, it would be great if you could tell us why, to give those of us who believe in God some clues as to why that theory appeals to you. No sarcasm intended.
PRCS says
Your idiotic assertion that every JW reader/poster should pray to “God Almighty” is the issue Linde.
People like you give Christianity a bad name.
Linde B. says
To PRCS- Prayer gets people onto something infinite and bigger than their finite human selves. It is sad that that concept offends you.
PRCS says
What’s sad is your utter lack of critical thinking skills and common sense.
We’re not all Christians here, Linde, and this is NOT a come to Jesus site.
Linde B. says
To PRCS- If you do not like it that I am expressing my right to free speech without threatening anyone, may I suggest you move to Communist China or some other place where free speech is frowned upon. And your upsetment with Christianity is parallel to the Islamic disdain for Christianity. I wish I were your psychiatrist!
PRCS says
I spent 21 years in the military, sworn to support and defend the constitution that guarantees your right to blather on about your religious beliefs (yes, just unprovable beliefs).
Of course, I too have the same right.
And while I have no “upsentment” with Christianity, your inability to separate fact from superstition is the same reason Muslims believe theirs is “the one true religion”.
As you’re a little slow, I repeat: we’re not all Christians here.
abu taleb says
Pray and ask God to do something is shifting the responsibility to God so that we don’t have to do anything (except praying).
God has already known what we are going to say in a prayer, what we should do is we have to do some action ourselves, not just saying in our mouth.
Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Linde B. says
To abu taleb- In James 2 verse 26 it reads: “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” So your statement is correct except you did not acknowledge prayer as the catalyst for action. Furthermore, you did not make any suggestions about taking action. What kind of action is effective? Writing a personal letter to the president of Nigeria? Calling on the US Congress to make a statement of condemnation toward the barbaric acts of the Nigerian Muslims killing innocent Nigerian Christians? How about getting people to sign a petition you create asking for the US Congress to cut US foreign aid to Nigeria in half? What is your thinking about taking action in this case?
PRCS says
“So your statement is correct except you did not acknowledge prayer as the catalyst for action.”
As an atheist, Linde, prayer is not the catalyst for me to act.
Keep digging.
abu taleb says
For most people, prayer has become automatic without any action.
Different people will do different action according their circumstances. As log as they do good deeds.
Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine befor men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven
Linde B. says
To abu taleb- Your latest comment of 5:36 am is on target. Yet, if person A asks for God’s blessings for person B who is in the hospital 200 miles away and person A who is praying cannot visit person B in the hospital, person A prays, believes and trusts that God will heal person B. Sometimes, as was the case with my dear mother who died of ovarian cancer at the age of 46, healing comes in the form of a peaceful death.

The young man could be one of the young men who went to Washington on Jan. 6 and was assaulted by the police, and when they complained, picked up by the fbi and thrown into prison.
It sounds very much the same; he says they are accused of “making trouble” because they are complaining about the government assisting those who are murdering them on a daily basis.
the “fulani” mozlums are running the national government and any local government which might get in the way, is attacked along with the attacks on the Christians.
Doing the devil’s desire.
PRCS says
“Doing the devil’s desire.”
Doing what they THINK their guy in the sky has directed them to do.
Frances Weingarten says
Why is the government protecting Fulani Jihadis”” It’s more than a little unacseptable and something must be
done to prevent this issue from continuing!!!ep
somehistory says
the government is protecting the mozlums because the government is made up of, and run by, mozlums of the same *brand*…fulani terrorists.
the government wants to eliminate Christians and they allow their fellow mozlums to slaughter the Christians and destroy their property, The government has weapons from the U.S. which they said would be used to fight terror; instead they use these to arm their fellow terrorists.
All according to the devil’s desire.
PRCS says
All according to human desire.
Imams are whispering in their collective ears, not a mythical “fallen angel”.
Linde B. says
To PRCS- Thank you for your military service for the USA.
