“It is not our standard procedure to evacuate American citizens”
Once again the UK and European countries are evacuating their citizens from Sudan while Biden, just as in Afghanistan, tells Americans to go pound sand and his media lackeys assure us that this is completely normal.
As the violent struggle for power over Sudan reaches the one-week mark, the Biden administration is sticking firmly to its warning for private citizens: don’t expect to be rescued.
While the administration says it is working towards evacuating American embassy staff still stranded in the country, it makes no promises about other Americans who could get let behind.
Unless they’re druggie woke lesbian WNBA players. Otherwise they’re on their own.
And yet the UK is evacuating its citizens.
The British government said it had launched a large-scale evacuation of its citizens from Sudan on Tuesday, after the North African country’s warring factions agreed to a 72-hour ceasefire.
Britain said military flights would depart from an airfield outside Khartoum, and would be open to those with British passports. Priority will be given to family groups with children, the elderly and individuals with medical conditions.
“The government has begun a large-scale evacuation of British passport holders from Sudan on RAF flights,” Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said on Twitter. “I pay tribute to the British Armed Forces, diplomats and Border Force staff.”
It’s utterly bizarre to contrast the statements coming out of the British and Biden governments.
“It is not our standard procedure to evacuate American citizens living abroad,” White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Friday.
Don’t worry though, Biden has asked for every possible option.
While the Biden administration is standing by its warning that Americans in Sudan should not expect a mass evacuation, during a White House briefing on Monday national security adviser Jake Sullivan said it wasn’t completely off the table.
“There’s certainly a willingness to take steps to help Americans be able to get out of the country,” he said. “The president has asked for every conceivable option to be able to help Americans.”
Every conceivable option… except doing what the Brits, the French, the Italians and every civilized country is doing.
Sullivan noted that conditions in the country would have to be deemed secure enough to carry out a larger operation before one could take place.
Sorry folks, we can’t evacuate you until you no longer need to be evacuated.
If Sudan were secure, Americans wouldn’t need to be evacuated. But this is the gang that left thousands of Americans and weapons in the hands of the Taliban. Why expect anything different from these traitors who have no concept of honor, integrity or decency?

I wonder how long before they bury the Abraham Accords agreement that Sudan signed two years ago due to the navigating and negotiating skills of one D Trump.

Actually, the more basic question that I have is – which Americans in their right minds are there in Sudan?
somehistory says
That question occurs to me too, but I don’t think any in “their right minds” would be there. I cannot see any reason to go willingly to any place like that.
John Smith says
A good question, but I don’t believe even those that are there could even answer that one.

The same type of people who “flee” a shithole muslim or third-world country seeking “asylum” by claiming they are in danger, only to go back to the same shit hole country on taxpayer funded “vacations” a few times a year.
Don’t be fooled. 99% or more of these people are NOT “Americans” “British” or “Australian”
Anyone remember the tens of thousands of “Americans” and “translators” in Afghanistan who somehow didn’t speak any english?
Just another step in the suicide of the West.
Jon Sobieski says
You are so right. These are Muslims who gamed the US immigration/refugee/asylum system, live on the dole (what parasites do) while spitting at the infidels behind their backs, and then go back to visit and tell everyone how easy it is to rip off the infidels. What fools we are. Let them rot. Finally Biden makes a good decision/.

To the average person it won’t matter what happens to these people. It’s too complicated for Joe so he chooses yet again to sit out on making a decision until it’s too late. If disaster follows so will media silence.

It’s amazing there are so many “British family groups”, “British elderly” and “British people with medical conditions” living in such an unsafe 3rd world country without the “world-class” NHS. Would “British passport holders”, in this instance, mean “refugees” who fled Sudan in fear of their lives, currently visiting Sudan for the “holiday month”? I think, it does.

When the leaders of a country tells its citizens “don’t expect to be rescued,” it speaks volumes as to what this administration is all about.
I believe there are US citizens still trapped in Afghanistan.
