More German politicians, even in the left’s Green Party, have been raising the alarm about the terrific cost of economic migrants – almost all of whom are Muslims — to the German economy.
More on this can be found in this article from late February that retains its relevance: “Some Green Party politicians demand change in Germany’s ‘failed’ migration policy,” Handelsblatt, February 24, 2023:
As Germany’s population continues to set new record highs and migrants are set to cost taxpayers over €36 billion in 2023, there are those warning that severe social consequences could ensue.
Tübingen Mayor Boris Palmer, of the Green party, is one of those voices, and in many ways, due to his popularity and party affiliation, his voice carries more weight than others.
Palmer is not only immensely popular, but is in the Green Party, a certified member of the Left. So when he starts to complain about the cost of migrants, he can’t be dismissed, the way so many of migration’s critics have been, especially members of the Alternativ fur Deutschland, as on the “far-right.”
Palmer told Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung this week that “if we use all of society’s resources for the new arrivals, but there is nothing left for the local people, then this society will explode.”
He continued by saying that due to the mass influx of migrants, Germany’s social system will eventually be exhausted.
The costs of immigration to the taxpayer are certainly enormous, with tens of billions being spent per year to provide housing, food, and integration services to Germany’s burgeoning foreign-born population. New stories, such as this week’s report that Hamburg is spending €14 million on hotel rooms alone every month to house migrants, have become routine in the country. That number is merely a drop in the pond. Data from the Finance Ministry released earlier this month indicated that Germany is set to spend €26.65 billion on migrants alone this year. However, this figure does not even present the full picture, as that is only money spent at the federal level. States and local municipalities are also predicted to spend over €10 billion, bringing the total to at least €36 billion in 2023 alone.
Thirty-six billion dollars annually is now being spent on migrants, at the federal, state, and local levels. Such a huge expenditure is not sustainable, especially since the German government has since last year been spending tens of billions on defense because of the Ukraine War — unless the government is willing to decrease the financial benefits that would normally be available to the poor and those on social security.
However, the issue of mass immigration affects everything and comes with many costs that are not entirely easy to calculate, from overcrowded and chaotic schools to soaring housing prices.
There are many costs – beyond the benefits they receive from the generous welfare state — associated with Muslim migrants that are hard to quantify. How do we put a price on the general public’s loss of a sense of security? With the steep rise in every kind of crime by these Muslim migrants, what is the price we assign to the higher incidence of street robberies, house burglaries, muggings and assaults without any property being taken, cars set on fire, rapes, and murders? These greatly increase the general level of anxiety, and reduce the wellbeing of society , even if we cannot assign a dollar amount to any of it.
Then there are the calculable costs to the state that rise pari passu with the increase in the rates of criminality. The state must then pay for more police, more detectives, more prosecutors, more court-appointed lawyers, more judges, more prison guards, and more prisons. These expenditures are on top of the cost of benefits provided to Muslim migrants – the free or greatly subsidized housing, the free medical care, free education, family allowances, and unemployment benefits — by the federal, state, and local governments in Germany.
Now some on the left, like the Mayor of Tübingen, Boris Palmer, have publicly expressed their alarm at the financial drain these migrants cause. He does not specify that they are Muslims, but his audience will certainly understand whom he is talking about. They know from what countries these economic migrants are coming from, know — for example — that in 2015, 80% of the migrants to Germany came from one Muslim country, Syria. The Germans know how many Muslim migrants get jobs or remain unemployed and, too, can compare those numbers with those for non-Muslim migrants. The comparisons are startling. But Palmer doesn’t at this point, dare to make those comparisons public, for he is still too leery of being charged as “a racist” and “Islamophobe” to tell the full truth. But he’s getting there. And so are others, in the mainstream or, like Palmer, on the political left.
Palmer said that given the high number of asylum seekers arriving in Germany every year, it is important to ask what that means for the country. He points to a mix of newcomers who have a poor integration record and high demands on Germany’s social welfare system.
“Then, we’ll have few new workers and a lot of welfare recipients,” Palmer warned….
Palmer said he sees “no solution” for the crisis. The Green party mayor has long been a critic of Germany’s migration policy, but proposals like mass deportations and tightening of citizenship laws would potentially put a dent in his image. For now, he seems content to snipe at the migration crisis from afar, offering vague warnings with no concrete proposals.
Palmer is right: there is no magic “solution” to the Muslim migrant crisis. But there are many things Germany could do to ameliorate the situation. It must never again “welcome” one million immigrants, as former Chancellor Merkel so foolishly did in 2015. No more prating about how “diversity is our strength.” Germans most stop thinking that because Germams not so long ago murdered six million Jews that they ought, therefore, to uncomplainingly allow Muslims to settle in their midst — the very people who today are the chief carriers, and disseminators, of the virus of antisemitism.
First, Germany can end its policy of admitting people from countries deemed likely to be breeders of terrorists, which is to say, end the immigration of people from Muslim lands. Given its history, Germany has a historic responsibility to make sure Jews in the country are safe, and that means decreasing the antisemitic presence, and menace, of Muslims in German.
Second, the German government at the same time can in many ways make the conduct of Muslim life in Germany more difficult. Ban the electronically amplified Call to Prayer as a public nuisance. The faithful can be reminded of the Call to Prayer by their iPhones; a muezzin’s wail is no longer necessary. Make it harder to open new mosques, by the use of zoning laws, including requiring mosques to provide parking spaces for all of their visitors, based on the numbers of worshippers who arrive for Friday prayers and the khutba, so as to avoid the traffic congestion often caused by visitors to mosques in residential areas. Do not allow foreign money to be spent on German mosques; they must be supported only by their own worshippers. Require imams to receive their training in Germany, and have German officials oversee that training for signs of extremism in the teaching staff and the teaching materials.. Sermons delivered in German mosques should be videotaped, so that they can then be studied for signs of intolerance. Proscribe the sale of halal meat because the slitting of the throat of an animal that has not first been stunned, and the slow bleeding out of that animal, constitute cruelty to animals. Prohibit the wearing of the veil in public buildings, including all government offices and public high schools and universities, so as not to be seen to endorse a practice that many think is linked to Islamic misogyny. Refuse the Muslim demand that would restrict public pools to certain hours for “women only.” Do not allow Muslim prayer rooms in public schools, or in other public spaces, which could be interpreted as a government endorsement of a particular religion.
So far, 2023 shows little sign that the migrant crisis is abating. In fact, 80,000 asylum applications were received in Germany in the first quarter of the year, according to the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, which amounts to an 80 percent increase compared to last year.
An increase, from one year to the next, of 80% in the number of “asylum” applications filed in Germany, shows that the “migrant crisis” is in full swing. At current rates, 320,000 migrants will apply for “asylum” status in 2023. In addition, there are large numbers of illegal migrants, perhaps as many as 100,000. Elderly Germans have been turned out of their government-subsidized homes so as to accommodate these foreign migrants.
The left-wing coalition currently ruling Germany is looking to pass sweeping immigration reform rules that would lead to nearly 2 million migrants becoming naturalized German citizens, relax citizenship tests, and allow citizenship to be obtained after five years of residing in Germany instead of the current seven.
This is madness. Germany, like the rest of Europe, ought not to be making it easier for economic migrants to become citizens. For example, the time when citizenship can be applied for should not be decreased; the current seven-year rule should remain. And during those seven years, the applicant ought to have been self-supporting, rather than relying on government largesse, in at least five of those years, in order to qualify for citizenship. The qualifying tests for citizenship, too, ought to become much more difficult, focusing on a good knowledge of German, and a detailed knowledge of German and European history, the German Basic Law (Grundgesetz), and the Holocaust. Muslims will greatly dislike having to learn about all these subjects, and will bristle, especially at that last requirement, having to answer questions about something that they prefer to minimize or deny, but they shall just have to endure it.
There ought, as well, be measures in place – both carrots and sticks — that will encourage re-migration by Muslims back to their home countries. The carrot might be a payment of several thousand euros to any Muslim who chooses to return home, on condition that he not try to return. Half of that amount could be given when he leaves Europe, and the remainder after he has been in his home country for three years. The stick could be an end to all government support beyond a fixed term – say, two years — after which those economic migrants, mostly Muslims, will be deprived of government-supplied benefits and be left, essentially, on their own. And at that point, lacking skills for any jobs beyond the most menial, many of those Muslim economic migrants will choose to return home rather than endure life at the bottom rung of the economic ladder, in a country maddeningly run by those who, as Infidels, are “the most vile of created beings.”

Got to go back to the Barcelona declaration when all those traitor politicians sold their Countries out to these Muslim Countries without asking their populations if they wanted to be overrun with these religious killers .
These politicians were so unbelievable stupid to think these woman hating goat fucking Jew and infidel hating barbarians would be a good fit for the country.
They only see now what the native population at large saw already years ago that these vile hordes came only to conquer, they will never ever blend in and assimilate.
Those politicians ought to be hung for their crimes of willfully allowing genocide of the people they where chosen to protect

At the highest Peak in all of Germany stands a Hotel and the workers of this Hotel demanded a prayer room as they could not just pop down to Garmisch, the town at the bottom of the Mountain, known as The Zuzspitize, for their prayer times and so the Hotel cleared out an old unused Store Room, put in a Carpet and said there you are, however when the muslims looked out the one window in this Room they noticed a Cross on the Peak of the other Mountain and they DEMADED it be taken down however the Hotel Manager suggested they just close the curtains.
Next to this ”Prayer/mosque Room is a Toilet with a sign outside that boldly states… Toilet for use by muslims ONLY… In German of course but there is now a Toilet at the highest Peak in Germany that the average German is not allowed to use unless they are a paid up member of the religion of Piss.
Ask a German if they heard about this and do not be surprised when they say they haven’t but that this is just fine… Alles in Ordung.

I have to really wonder why European politicians are so ashamed of their countries that they allow such “wholesale” mass migration on the part of Muslims. Very sad and sickening.
Also- excellent comments from Tatanka and Andrew, above.

They are not ashamed of their countries, they hate their citizens.

Germany’s economic decline will accelerate with the Muslim migration and climate change policies abandoning nuclear and banning Russian energy.

Now one would think that the Americas political leaders would see what happened in Europe with the open border muslim migration. But they didn’t learn a thing from Europes mistake. Instead the U.S. opened the borders to millions of migrants from around the world. Now these same political leaders are complaining when their sanctuary cities and states have to pick up the check for taking care of these migrants. Our governments takes better care of the illegal migrants then they do our Veterans and Senior Citizens.

Our rulers despise us.

“Elderly Germans have been turned out of their government-subsidized homes so as to accommodate these foreign migrants.”
When this happens you must realize that your rulers despise you because no human being would do that to their own kind.

I can understand why the French and Russian revolutions found it necessary to exterminate their rulers.
