As King Charles III was crowned in Westminister Abbey Saturday, viewers worldwide got a chill, or a chuckle, out of an unexpected sight. Right after the king’s guards processed into the abbey, a lone figure wearing a black hooded robe and holding a long stick that could have been a scythe walked by the abbey’s open door. Had the Grim Reaper made an appearance at Charles’ coronation? Was it an omen? A prankster? A warning? Part of the ceremony? An AI deepfake? No one knows for sure, and speculation was rife. Some even said it was the ghost of Charles’ celebrated late wife Diana. But whoever or whatever he was (and gosh, Grim, big apologies if I’m misgendering you), he was a welcome sight for reasons that have been insufficiently appreciated.
We live in a remarkably superficial age, in which a man can put on a dress and a wig and not only proclaim that he is a woman, but demand that everyone else pretend that he is a woman as well. The self-appointed but nonetheless extremely powerful (because they control the primary means of communication) guardians of acceptable opinion join in that demand and can destroy an individual’s professional and even personal life for dissenting. The fact that no amount of surgery and hormones can make a man into a woman or a woman into a man is immaterial; the superficial appearance, however unconvincing, is all.
And that’s just one aspect of the superficiality of our age. Most people complacently assume that life has always been pretty much the way it is now, and always will be, or that we have attained a greater enlightenment than that of our ancestors, and have nothing to learn from them. The past, if it is thought of at all, is a shameful period of racism and oppression from which we are now struggling to free ourselves.
In this shallow and unthinking cultural atmosphere, the coronation looked (and many said explicitly that it was) comical, irrelevant, and wasteful of British taxpayer money. The Grim Reaper walking by was just one more absurd Monty-Pythonish element of a ceremony that was packed with them. It was on par with the 800-year-old practice of the city of Gloucester of giving the newly crowned monarch a lamprey pie. Lampreys are disgusting blood-sucking eels; as these delicacies have become somewhat scarce, Charles’ lamprey pie substituted (rather insensitively for Charles’ Muslim subjects, whom he has courted so assiduously) pork.

Because the difference between Grimm and Grim is one letter m, I’d say things look pretty grim for you language wise. I do confess I was sorely tempted to write ‘(…) things look pretty grimm (…)’, but I withstood the temptation. Is this some sort of ‘praeteritio’ by the way? LOL! I do know the difference in the two words…and I did spell each correctly, using each as I meant to use them. Thank you.
The Brothers Grimm wrote a lot of fairy tales; some were about princes and the young women with whom they fell in love. chuckie was once a “prince” and married a pretty young girl, with whom he was not in love, evidently.
My comment on the visit of the Grim Reaper was meant to be in jest.

It was, or course, a Verger. A Verger is a lay position in an Anglican bishopric. They are sort of like a majordomo, and are in charge of the daily operations of a cathedral. In the cause of a major event like a coronation they make sure clergy are were they are supposed to be with whatever they need to do office they are to carrying out.

All Westminster Vergers would be gathered together within the confines of Westminster Abbey ,and would be dressed in regalia fit for the coronation of a king, not rambling about in black with a staff, which Vergers do not hold anyway.

You sure don’t know much about Vergers. During ceremonies such as this they dress in black robes and carry a Virge their staff of office. The finial on the Virge indicate their status is the Verger’s Guild.

King Charles with his attraction and admiration towards Islam is very revealing about his religious education he received in the Church of England, Which in the United Kingdom is also called “The Anglican Church.”
The King with is favorable spirit to Islam reveals that the Anglican church didn’t teach and ingrain the Bible doctrines about the Nature of Jesus into the his mind and heart when he was still a prince.
Likewise back then he was a prince his “higher education “ didn’t cover the many different aspects of how the religion of Islam rejects the many clear Bible teaching about the nature of Jesus.
For Islam denies the Bible doctrines about of and about the actual natural of Jesus which is blasphemous.
For Islam denies that Jesus is the Son of God. Meaning that Jesus of the only Son of God the Father. That is in blatant contradiction to the information revealed in the Bible.. As found, for example, Matthew 3:16, 17, First John 2:22, 23. Likewise, Jesus is God the Son, as seen in Hebrews 1:8. First John 5:20.
The Deity of the Son taught in the Bible .For in Colossians 2:9 It reads “For In Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form. ” [N.I.V.]
That Jesus is God is further revealed in the Bible in John 1-1-3. Colossians 1:15-17. Romans 9:5 Second Peter 1:1. Titus 2:13 First John 5:20.
So, in the Light of the Bible it’s then no surprise that in Islamic countries, the Muslim clerics attempt to discourage the people from reading the Bible, by their words and even owning a Bible, by their actions.
For those Islamic clerics would have no hold or control over the people if they discovered the truth of the sculpture, Bible, Second Timothy 3:16 and the Jesus is the way to heaven, John 14:6.
Furthermore the Bible in First Kings 8:89 teaches that “Only God Knows that thoughts of men” in the Gospel of Mark 2: 8 reveals that Jesus knows the thoughts of men.”
In conclusion, the Bible does reveal to that, Jesus is God and that exposes Islam is false teaching about Jesus and therefore Islam is a false religion of demonic darkness.
As Isaiah 8:20 reads” To the law and to the Testimony ! If they do not speak according to the word, it is because there is no light in them.”

I can understand why Brits would be interested in this coronation. To an extent, Kanucks, Aussies and Kiwis too. But what I don’t get at all is why are people in other countries, namely ours but some others as well, at all interested in this ceremony?
It was one thing when England had an actual executive king who made the decisions: it wasn’t up to any parliament. But over the centuries, as it became more of a ceremonial role, the attention it got was way overblown, especially outside what they call ‘the realm’
On top of that, every member of the royal family likely to ever become king (not including the kids, who are minors) are beyond woke! Which is the only reason people on the Left celebrate them
