Four months ago, leaders of the EU agreed on a plan to allocate “significant funds to bolster cameras and personnel at the frontiers,” to stem the flow of illegal migrants flowing in mostly from Africa and the Middle East. However, they fell short of what they view as “a red line of directly funding wall-building.” The EU globalists view walls as a “a crude Trumpian solution,” and would rather drive the security and economy of their own countries into the ground than opt for walls to protect their sovereignty.
The migration crisis has dragged on for years, and is changing the face of the EU. It is sinking into poverty and has seen rising incidents of violent crime. Acts of jihad, albeit only rarely acknowledged as such, are on the rise. Now the EU has come up with an absurd plan to pay Tunisia for help. EU globalists are abusing taxpayers with a futile scheme that offers no promise of alleviating the crisis.
Take, for example, Britain, which has already been paying France hundreds of millions of dollars to curb the flow of illegal migration into the country via the English Channel. This has only made France richer, but has done nothing to stop the illegal migration into Britain. The same will likely happen in the case of Tunisia.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni was among the European leaders who recently visited Tunisia. Meloni, who strongly opposes the UN’s Migration Compact, is understandably desperate to preserve Italy’s national identity; she is looking for any possible opportunity to do so. In April, Meloni declared a state of emergency amid the ongoing migrant invasion. In 2021, non-stop Muslim migrant landings in Lampedusa became a “situation is out of control.” Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte went to Tunisia as well. He is avid for any solution for a different reason. He has been criticized within his own party “for diddling on the delivery of a more firm and robust immigration policy.”
Ignoring the illegal migration problem has not made it go away and will not do so. Paying Tunisia will have no results. One must also keep in mind that EU globalists have encouraged the hijrah across the EU in their support for open-door migration, and have been heavy-handed in supporting the UN migration pact.
“EU may give Tunisia more than €1bn in aid to help finances and stem migration,” by Lisa O’Carroll, Guardian, June 11, 2023:
The European Union is considering providing more than €1bn (£850m) in aid for Tunisia to rescue state finances and deal with a migration crisis, the EU Commission president Ursula von der Leyen said on Sunday.
Speaking in Tunisia, Von der Leyen said €900m would be macrofinancial assistance while an immediate €150m would support a reform agenda set by the International Monetary Fund.
She said this could be ready “as soon as the necessary agreement is found”, without elaborating.
As part of the €1bn package, a further €105m will be funnelled into a new partnership with Tunisia to combat people-smuggling, human trafficking and the continuing tragedies at sea.
The EU chief was visiting Tunisia along with the Italian and Dutch prime ministers, Giorgia Meloni and Mark Rutte, who are keen to strike a partnership deal with the north African country to stem migration and people-smuggling to Europe.
It is the second time in a week that Meloni has visited the country.
The EU, like other major donors to Tunisia, has so far conditioned its support on the country finalising a loan programme with the IMF, but President Kais Saied has rejected key reforms required by that plan.
He also pushed back on Saturday at a Turkey-style refugee partnership, saying the country would not act as Europe’s border guard.
The EU is concerned that if the economic crisis in Tunisia deepens, Europe will face an even bigger increase of irregular migrants trying to cross the Mediterranean this summer….

the eu leaders are corrupt, bribed and perverted into succumbing to the islamic countries blackmail…. there is no solution in paying these countries and this has shown in practise with turkey that is the main organiser of the islamic invasion….. they have been paying turkey billions yearly to maintain the invaders within turkey but regardlessly the invasion is continuing at the same and worse pace every year….
the eu leaders are continously practicing appeasment in many ways and financial appeasment is just one…. these include meloni who has let down everyone in her own party for many reasons…. appeasment has been proven to have the opposite effects in islamic countries just like in any individual muslim…. it only encourages for more jihad and nothing more…
the only answer that is never given to the islamic invasion, and to the muslim jihad within europe is hard line tactics, cealing of borders, deportations and strict legislation for islamic jihadis and terrorists…. this is the only that can make islam think twice about continuing its practise….

The elites of the European Union (as well as the elites of the United Nations) have brains where they sit, in my humble opinion. And when Tunisia gets all this cash will it go to help ordinary Tunisian citizens create a free enterprise business for themselves, or help them go to school to study something like teaching, medicine, law, engineering, technology, or food production/ preservation? If so, then that billion bucks would be a good thing to help the citizens of Tunisia stay in their own country and build their economy. 🙏
But what if that billion goes to design and create a palace or a low-rise apartment building for the people at the upper levels of the Tunisian government? What if that billion is put into Swiss bank accounts for the government elites of Tunisia? Hmmm…🤪

Remember Neville Chamberlain’s appeasement of Hitler? Current thinking by the Europacificists – Pay off the islamists and maybe they will go away.
I am afraid that the Eurogoose is well and truly cooked.

To Hindu American- Good point about Neville Chamberlain.
And the Eurogoose in my opinion, is not well and is overcooked.

Neville Chamberlain has been given a bad reputation by history, but it is time for a re-assessment!
As Chancellor of the Exchequer, (Minister of Finance) he arranged the government financial guarantees which enabled the Spitfire and Hurricane fighter planes to be built in sufficient numbers for the coming Battle of Britain.
When he returned from Munich carrying the derided “Peace in our time” message, he and his staff returned to 10 Downing Street. Chamberlain closed the door, and told his staff “Take your coats off: no-one is going home tonight. War is now inevitable.”
Linde B. says
To Alan Knight- Great Britain lacked much of the equipment that Germany had for a war.
Chamberlain and many Britons did not want a war with Germany or anyone else. But once Germany invaded Poland, the British could not sit by and do nothing. Also Winston Churchill spoke out about Hitler’s invasions. So Chamberlin had his good points but he was surpassed by Churchill. And thank God that Churchill did not appease Hitler.
Both of my grandfathers came out of northeast Germany, one before WWI and one after WWII. I thank God every day that they came to the US.

Europe’s – and Britain’s – problem is sheer stupidity. Unlike the US which has a land border w/ Mexico (aside from the Rio Grande), both Europe & Britain are separated from the rest by sea, and they’re still struggling to keep out migrants?
Here’s a simple €0.00 solution to this problem. Simply do not rescue any migrants: if they are at sea, it’s the responsibility, if anybody’s, of the countries they sailed from. So it would be the Tunisian, Libyan, Algerian or Moroccan governments which need to rescue them. Nor do these people get to land at any European coast: if they do, just put them back on those dinghies and send them back into international waters. Once the people back in Africa see that none of them are being allowed into Europe, and that they’re only risking their lives, they’ll stop
James Lincoln says
Infidel,
The only thing that I may add would be a safe military “escort” back to their country of origin.
That way, no migrants would “die at sea”, causing an international “outcry”.
