“When you meet the unbelievers, strike necks…” (Qur’an 47:4)
“Boko Haram beheads seven farmers in Borno attack,” by Yemi Aruna, Premium Times, June 16, 2023:
On Thursday in Maiduguri, terrorists suspected to be members of the Islamist group, Boko Haram, decapitated seven farmers in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.
The farmers were working on a farm in Molai, a village, approximately 5 kilometres from Maiduguri, when the terrorists attacked them.
Sainna Buba, a former commissioner for youths and sports, who now supervises the security and protection of local farmers, confirmed the killings to PREMIUM TIMES.
Mr Buba said the farmers were buried on Friday morning after an Islamic funeral service.
A member of the vigilante group, Civilian-JTF, Abudulmumeen Bulama, said despite being shot at, one farmer managed to escape and raise an alarm.
“We could only mobilise and reach the scene late on Thursday. Upon arrival, we were met with a horrifying sight: some victims had their throats slit from behind, while others were completely beheaded,” said Mr Bulama, as he struggled to hold back the tears welling in his eyes….

Huh?

mozlums murdered them because they weren’t mozlum, but then buried them according to islam’s *rules.*
The slaughter continues and hardly anyone cares. The majority of the world couldn’t care less.

Agreed, somehistory. The “hardly anyone caring” is dispositive of just how rotten so much about the human condition ordinarily is. Yes, there are great moments in mankind’s history (e.g., the founding of America in 1776) but the great moments are few and far between and so darkness, not light, is, sadly, the norm. As here with, as you already stated, almost no one caring.
You know, somehistory, if there is a God and this deity is all-wise and caring, this entity beyond all human understanding must be so disappointed again and again with its creation of man.

Wellington, it is so very sad to see the evil. and so much worse to realize how very few recognize it as evil and feel bad for those being destroyed.
as you say, so much darkness and so very little light.
Re: your last: There is a verse in the Bible that says when the people were behaving badly, it made God “feel hurt.”
“Ps. 78 :41
CEV
They kept testing him and caused terrible pain for the Holy One of Israel.
DARBY
And they turned again and tempted God, and grieved the Holy One of Israel.”
There is also the one in Genesis where it says God “regretted that He had made man.”
So, if the Bible is just made up stuff (which I have every confidence it is the real thing) someone else reasoned on things as you have. But if it is real, then God is hurt by man’s behavior. Hurt and disappointed over and over.
Wellington says
Thanks for that reference, somehistory.

You are very welcome, Wellington.

“So, if the Bible is just made up stuff”
It was written by human beings purporting to represent God’s voice.
Genesis also said God created Eve from one of Adam’s ribs (while he was sleeping).
Made up stuff?

“if there is a God and this deity is all-wise and caring“.
IF the Judeo/Christian God is all-knowing and cares enough to stop the slaughter, He would.
What’s happening in Nigeria, for example, does not demonstrate that He cares.
That He remains disappointed by his creation is likely not a Christian’s last thought while being beheaded.

If the atheist knew as much as he imagines that he knows, he could be a god to someone other than himself.
The atheist should offer some proof of what he claims instead of continuing to slam what he knows not.

Being “an admitted atheist”–a crime, it seems, to you–I’m but one amongst roughly 500,00 agnostics and atheists in the U.S.
Fact: the Bible (like ALL religious texts) was written by human beings.
As there is no proof that any god ever existed–anywhere, to belief it was inspired by your God is just that. A belief.
Your right to believe whatever you want is guaranteed by our nation’s secular, man-made laws, including the belief that Eve was created from one of Adam’s ribs and that atheists (as a group) want Christianity wiped out–is guaranteed by our secular, man-made laws. But that doesn’t make beliefs facts.

Just wondering if you know about this verse? Satan is the ruler of this world….for now.
“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” Revelation 12:9

Just a story.
Written by people of that time.
For people of that time.
Now, there’s a Starbucks–with Wi-Fi–on just about every corner.

The majority doesn’t hear of these attacks due to the failing media resources.

So isn’t it something, that we have the jihadwatch and the gellerreport website/newsletters (and other ones), to keep us, the intelligent ones, informed of what’s going on, in the world, that has to do with this subject?
