“The video games that have intoxicated them”
While I don’t think modern digital entertainment is especially healthy, national leaders blaming movies and games instead of dealing Islamic violence is even less mentally healthy.
Here’s France’s President Macron trying hard not to talk about the thing you’re not supposed to address.
President Emmanuel Macron has mostly blamed social media for the devastation, but he has also claimed that video games have inspired copycat violence and vandalism.
“It sometimes feels like some of them are experiencing, on the streets, the video games that have intoxicated them,” Macron said in a press conference on July 1.
There were massive riots in France long before video games and while feedback cycles of simulated violence are probably not doing anything helpful for the minds of France’s youth, the bigger problem is that the youth increasingly consists of North African Muslims who have no investment in the country, a great deal of hostility to it and every reason to act out their version of the BLM riots.
Social media is playing a role here, but talking about the digital element ignores the real issue. Much like the arguments that video games caused school shootings, the vast majority of kids playing games don’t shoot up schools, and those who do have specific motives. Entertainment is rarely a motive, it may just occasionally suggest a means. Macron wants to talk about the adrenaline high rather than the underlying hatred.
Islam does not need video games to inspire violence in its followers and the clash of civilizations in France is not just a misfiring reptile brain. Everything else is a distraction from that simple reality.

He is fearful. He cannot bring himself to tell the Truth. I would call him “chicken,” but chickens are brave when their young are in danger. He is a coward.
Being a coward never solved a serious problem. The riots, the violence, the mobs of mozlums, will not go away even if he banned all video games. It’s islam, the teachers, the book of demon filth, the parents who delight in their kids being terrorists, the barracks where they hear that they should murder others….and islam isn’t going away because he’s blaming video games.

Several years ago I told an old friend of mine who lives in France that Macron is a twit and that de Gaulle would have had nothing but contempt for him. Nothing to date makes me want to change my mind about this man. In fact, events since only confirms for me that I was correct in this assessment of yet another clueless, compromised and inept Western leader.

He is playing clueless. Well then Paris needs to burn down a little more before the willfully blind start voting for Eric Zemmour and they start seriously deporting the Muslim invasion. If not, then I am afraid that they face a civil war when the Muslim invasion reaches 20%

Like the Israel National News said
“It is truly a historic moment: there are more practicing Muslims than practicing Catholics between the ages of 18 and 59 in France. Reading the latest report from Insee, the French Statistical Institute, helps us understand the change of civilization we are experiencing. “In forty years, France has become the nation in Western Europe where the population of Muslim origin is the most important”, wrote Vatican Radio. “It is not difficult to hypothesize that we are now close to overtaking Islam over Catholicism (French)”.”

One day the politicians, who perpetrate the lie that it all has nothing to do with islam, and who have been so willing to let huge numbers of the Muslim enemies invade their countries, are going to have to face up to the truth and admit that the main problem is islam and the vile monsters that that evil religious ideology produces. islam is incompatible with western values, and it teaches its adherents to hate most aspects of western, civilised life. Macron and most other politicians will try to avoid facing the truth for as long as they can. Self- preservation is the number one thing for so many politicians and they will come up with any bullshit, such as that it is due to video games or whatever, to avoid facing the truth. It must be getting close to the point where France is too far gone to be saved from the Muslim invading hordes.

Sounds about right to me, somehistory. As I often say, although i do meet some Muslims who, by some miracle, actually seem OK, I can find nothing good in islam itself. What an evil, bloodthirsty and hate-filled religion it seems to be. By the way, how is your songwriting going and also how is that dog, with some Australian canine heritage, going? I come across lots of good gospel songs, and I was thinking you could probably write good gospel songs. I have written a few songs myself that have religious themes along with many others with other, more regular, secular types of themes. I hope you are going well.
somehistory says
Thank you, Tim. As for songs, I did come across one I started writing just yesterday. Guess I should finish it. To tell the Truth, I have to be in a certain mood to write songs, or they just pop into my head.
I don’t recall ever thinking I could write Gospel. With you encouragement, I just might have to try it. Thank you.
And the dog: She is a trial. She is very large for only five months…drags me where she wants to go and if I have something to eat…snack wise, she wants it and barks at me for it. She’s very intelligent…knows a lot of commands, but she is also stubborn.
My daughter got her a little football that squeaks when she bites down and she likes to play keep away; pretends she wants me to take it from her, but then won’t let go.
Tim, I wish I could hear your songs. Maybe someday when the madness is all over. Is there someone in the music business whose voice is similar to yours? I have been told by two professionals and one country fan, that I sound a lot like Patsy Cline to them. Not to me, though.
I hope you are going well, also. Keep up the fine fight.

Thanks for the information, somehistory. I do suspect that you could write pretty good gospel songs and it seems like the type of thing you would enjoy doing. I think some of my songs are pretty good. As far as hearing my singing voice goes, I did put 5 songs up on youtube 3 or 4 years ago. I told people here at Jihad watch about one of them where I sang the Vince Gill song “Go Rest high on that mountain” (I said to them that if they wanted to know what i looked like then check the song out). gravenimage liked it, James Lincoln said i had a “soulful voice” which I think any singer would be happy with. Those songs have all disappeared. I won’t bother with youtube gain. Not my thing though I love listening to and watching people on it. Years ago, when i used to sing with a friend of mine, someone I knew said That I sounded like Ricky Nelson. Who knows? I sound alright except when allergies take over and make my voice too hoarse. I have been recorded doing 26 of my songs so far and they are on 3 CDs. Out of date and all, but so am I and my siblings and old friends. Here is an interesting thing the friend who recorded me a few weeks back told me. He is a great guitarist and also writes songs. He said that there are 100,000 songs very day. Not sure where the info came from. Probably right. Makes the chance of getting anywhere with songs quite hard I’d say. But it is fun. The reason I get recorded doing them is just so there is a record of what they are meant to sound like. I have written around 170 songs so far. If I keep getting ideas I put them down.
The dog sounds like a handful alright. I hope it settles down a bit. Hope you are going well and you keep up the good fight against malicious islam.

Thank you, Tim.
Would you believe Ricky Nelson is one of my all time favorites…from when I was young and he was on television singing. didn’t get to watch him often as my father decided what we would watch. But, I am able to see them on tubi.com free.
I’m sorry I didn’t get to see your youtube recordings.
I’ll have to try writing a Gospel and maybe post a line or two if I do. Feedback from one experienced is always a help.
My older brother had a band and recorded. He was on the Grand Old Opry and won a bunch of awards for his singing.
You used to critique my song-writing and singing.
My father encouraged my singing and songwriting. He taught me a little guitar playing. when I was writing a lot, I sent some to be copyrighted. they lost one, so sent my money back. I was always kind of shy without much self-esteem, so didn’t tell a lot of people about my writing.
Yes, the dog keeps me busy except on my daughter’s day off, which she has today. So, I’m getting a break. Everyone says she is a beautiful dog. Looks nothing like a pit, so guessing more like the Queensland. and has ears like dingo. she hears everything. she likes to eat sticks. Never saw that in dogs before.
I’ll let you know how the song writing goes. And thanks again.
agree…we can’t give up. Nothing in that, for sure.

That is really hitting the big time, somehistory, what you mention there about your brother. You come from a solid musical background. My long time friend, John, has a very strong musical background with his mother and his sister being talented musically and all involved in music from an early age, which seems to be the case for many performers. A couple of his children have made the big time in music out here. My family were not into music. I recall that my father, who was a veterinary surgeon, had a good singing voice. The first singer i really liked was Roy Orbison. I had a girlfriend back when I was in my early twenties, who was twice as smart as me, and she was the first person who told me I had a good singing voice. I didn’t have a clue until then and never sang in public. I used to sing in a duo with John, the musician, because he was a good musician but had a pretty ordinary voice. I was a hopeless musician back then, still pretty ordinary, but i could sing fairly well.
I hope that dog settles down into being a really good dog. I’m sure, in time, that will happen. Probably just the high spirits and energy that young dogs have. The dog sounds like fun anyway.

Tim, it was sad, when he went on the Opry because Mel Street had just committed suicide and everyone that was really anyone, was absent that night, in mourning. But, he stayed with Roy Clark while there, and that was helpful.
He and a good friend started the band, “Shenandoah” but that was taken over by some guys they hired when some starters left. So he formed, “Dallas” and had some success with that until his death.
Having others in the family who can sing, play an instrument or write, really helps when it comes to being able to break in and actually make money. I sang for one of the more famous guys many years ago. He’s the one who told me I was kind of like P.Cline.
Anyway, my brain has begun working on a Gospel song. I just need to write it down before it goes away. I’ve lost many due to not having pen and paper handy.
Yes, I think the dog is going to be a good watch dog. She sees everything and everyone and my daughter said she barked at a woman in the alley today. That’s a first. My daughter and granddaughter sure have fun with her. I’m just not as energetic as she expects me to be.
tim gallagher says
They are big time people you are mentioning there, somehistory. I had not heard of Mel Street. Roy Clark I have heard of. Of course, Patsy Cline is one of the greats, especially with her singing of “Crazy”, the classic song written by Willie Nelson. I know about Shenandoah because they recorded a song that I think is a great song, a real heartbreaker, titled “Ghost in this House”. I like Alison Krauss’s version of the song which is on youtube. It is written by Hugh Prestwood and I also watched him do the song on youtube at a songwriters get together. I have only got a couple of contacts in the music game. John says he might do a couple of my songs sometime with his current band. I’m not that bothered at my age, but it would be nice. Anyway, as long as I keep enjoying writing songs I’ll continue although I have got enough by now for a lifetime and I mainly will try to fiddle around and improve
some of the songs I already have written and i think are worthwhile..And my songs are probably getting a bit too much of a sameness about them by now. The dog sounds like plenty of fun. All the best to you and your family.

What an idiotic statement by Macron, Michael. It is an obvious point to make, but I’d say that when it comes to islam, letting that enemy of all western values into any western country is treasonous and it is also suicidal. In many cases, such as say Buddhism, etc, multiculturalism works out OK, but when it is islam, it will never work out well in the long run.

French President Blames ‘Video Games’ Instead of ‘Islam’ for Riots

Just nuts. These rioters have been quite clear about what this violence is about–Islam, and not video games.
Not sure of figures in France, but here in the US 70% of Americans play video games, and few of them riot on a regular basis.
